Story
This beautiful girl's name is Zora. She'll be 5 years old in September this year and has been an amazing addition to our family of four. Unfortunately, we have to make a drastic change in where we live. Where we're moving will not allow her to come with us. It was a long difficult choice that we've considered/tried to avoid for about 2 years now. At this point, we just want to place her somewhere safe, where she'll be loved and welcomed. Please feel free to ask any questions. We're not looking for money, just a healthy environment for her. Zora is up to date on her shots and she is fixed. She's 100% house trained but loves, loves, loves being outside as much as possible lol!! Very affectionate with who she's familiar with but DOES NOT LIKE OTHER ANIMALS. Other animals are a NO GO. Since she's an Akita, she gets very territorial.

Story
All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to chose from at the shelter as well. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

Amy, affectionately called "Spicy," is a sweetheart with a kick! She isn't a fan of the word "no and will talk back and yip at the air in disapproval. But a little redirection fixes it all. Amy likes to cuddle on her own terms. She gets along great with other dogs and will stand up for herself if she's not a fan their play style. Amy follows the cats around in her foster home and barks at them, clearly trying to figure out what species they are. She knows how to sit and does great in her kennel. Potty training is going well, and Amy goes to the back door when she needs to let outside.
