Kuromi 6 months, spayed female, 14 lb Husky mix LIKES: Walks, people, snuggling, people, chew toys - did we mention people?!? She's a very social girl. She also does fine with the other resident dogs and cats too. DISLIKES: Being left alone. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Kuromi is a very curious and social girl. She loves to go new places, meet new friends, and ride around in the car. We're not sure how she would do on long hikes however, as she has a congenital defect of one of her paws which gives her a cute little hop. But she is small enough that she would fit into a pack if she got tired! POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Kuromi does great with frequent bathroom breaks. She is still young and unable to "hold it" for long periods of time. CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She currently sleeps in her crate at night, and stays in there when she's unattended. If people are home when she is in the crate, she can get a little complain-y when she feels left out. For this reason (and the other noises that a husky makes), we recommend she go to a single-family home (no apartments/duplex/townhomes). EXTRAS: Kuromi definitely has a lot of husky personality, but she is a tiny package. We think she will top out around 25-30 lbs as her full adult size. To further inquire about KUROMI, submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how KUROMI will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet. Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
