Meet Lucius – Your Adventure Buddy with a Sweet Side Lucius is a 4.5-year-old Husky mix with the perfect balance of independence and affection. He enjoys the comfort of being inside and will happily nap near his people, but once he wakes up, he’s ready to explore! This boy loves being outdoors, whether it’s going for a walk or simply sitting outside on leash soaking in the fresh air and watching the world go by. True to his Husky roots, Lucius is energetic and absolutely loves to sniff everything. Walks are his favorite activity, and he thrives with regular outdoor time and mental stimulation. He does best on leash and is not reliable off leash unless he’s in a securely fenced yard. Lucius does well with small dogs and has lived peacefully with two little dogs, as well as cats. Like many dogs, he can be particular about high-value items and would do best with supervision around toys or special treats in a multi-dog home. With clear boundaries and structure, he continues to show what a sweet, loyal companion he is. Overall, Lucius is a sweetheart who just wants love, consistency, and a family that understands his need for movement and engagement. Meet Sunny, formerly known as Dakota, a one of a kind tripod with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet boy truly lives up to his name. With his soft fur and constant happy expression, Sunny is a little ray of sunshine wherever he goes. Sunny is house trained and doing great with crate training. He is learning quickly and will happily follow a treat into his crate, where he settles in nicely. When left alone for four to eight hours, he relaxes comfortably in his crate. He has a medium activity level and enjoys both playtime and several good naps throughout the day. Sunny loves to play with his foster brothers and does well with dogs in the thirty to sixty pound range. He is great with tweens and teens and would do well in a family home, whether that includes kids or not. He has not yet been tested with cats or other animals. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys car rides, though he needs a little help climbing in before settling down for the trip. This smart boy already knows come here and sit, and he is currently working on get in your box, shake, and lay down. He picks things up quickly and truly wants to please his people. His favorite toys include rope toys for tug of war, squeaky toys, and antlers to chew on. Sunny does not see himself as limited in any way. He is simply a happy boy who loves to be petted and spend time with his people. When you look at him, you can almost hear him say, “I’m a happy boy and I just want to be loved.” His resilience and joyful spirit make him incredibly special. Sunny would thrive in a loving home that will appreciate his sweet nature and playful heart. He is ready to bring light, laughter, and loyalty to his forever family.
