DC is a lovely, gentle boy who thrives on kindness and reassurance. Though he’s six years old, he has the heart of a big, cuddly baby—especially when he’s feeling unsure. Loud, defensive, or aggressive-sounding dogs can scare him, and he’ll quietly tuck his tail and hide behind his trusted person for comfort. When he’s anxious, DC self-soothes in the sweetest ways: gently mouthing his bed, a tennis ball, a plush toy, or a special blanket. He knows exactly what’s his, too—he leaves kids’ toys untouched even when everything is scattered in an exciting pile on the floor. He doesn’t chew destructively, and he never mouths people. Despite his sensitive side, DC absolutely lights up when he sees friendly dogs. He wiggles, prances, and gets adorably overexcited, hoping everyone wants to be his friend. He also loves people—all people. He greets strangers with open enthusiasm and has zero interest in guarding a door, fence, or home.
