Sammy IS AVAILALBE (updated 05-07-2025).To meet any of our dogs you must first complete our online adoption application on our website. For more information and the adoption application for Sammy, please visit our website belowhttp://www.coastalgsr.org/dog_profile.php?ID=22667&name=SammySammy was found wandering alone, wearing a black harness attached to a white leash. People had previously seen him being walked by an elderly man near Del High Park, but no one could find that gentleman and Sammy was taken to the shelter. He was checked in, given an impound number and sat there waiting for his family to find him. His time was running out, no one came for him, and the shelter had now given him a euthanasia date. We rescued Sammy and put up signs in the area in which he was found, hoping his owner would see them, but no one ever responded. This super fluffy guy with the biscuit paws is thought to be around 4-5 years old and isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t a high maintenance diva. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been through so much already and we would love nothing more than to help him find his forever family! Sammy loves to play with toys and with entertain himself or play with you!The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.May 7, 2025, 4:52 pm

Story
Please come to our adoption event to meet them: Saturday 05/28 from 4:30 pm to 6: pm at PetSmart in Clairemont,: 4253 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 ***Please read all the way down to the bottom so you can learn all about our sweet pet and about the requirements as well as the organization*** Hi!! Meet our beautiful, loving, and sensitive boy "Quinoa" - He is about 1 year old purebred Alaskan Malamute - He loves to play with other dogs :) He is very good with people and kids. Quinoa is an intelligent, highly-trainable, loving companion for life. We give the category of being a sensitive dog; because he was rescued when his female partner was run over and was dead on the road and will not leave her and laid down next to her screaming for her :( unfortunately at the time of rescuing him we were not able to take pics or videos as we had to rush and get him out of the road. He is currently being fostered with other dogs of all sizes; therefore, he will be great with a multi-family home with other pets. He will be great with a very active family, to take him along for walks, runs, hiking, camping, or just taking it easy and having a cup of coffee:) He is great in the crate; he won't bothered you if you have to work or get the kids to take a nap. - Quinoa has a nice fluffy coat with red tones in it. As a new family addition, he will need guidance as he gets a little shy in the 1st hours you meet him:) If you are ready for this commitment and open your heart to any of our adorable pups, please don't wait no longer. Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st choice of contact or email veronica.aaofus@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- Please do not leave voice messages - If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. No appointments will be made unless we have received an application; therefore, we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Donation Adoption fee includes up-to-date his yearly DHLPP vaccinations, spaying or neutering, deworming, flea medication, and a complementary health check up by a participating clinic near you. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! *****A minute of conscious - Please read:) ***** We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Please take a minute to tell yourself if you are ready to adopt and for this commitment. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!

Meet Cloud – A Beautiful Soul Searching for His Forever Home** 🌥 Video on IG here - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGQ1QN4v6G9/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Cloud is as soft as his name suggests—both in looks and in heart. He is one of the most beautiful dogs we’ve ever seen, with a thick, black fluffy coat and soulful eyes that reflect his deep loyalty. This sweet boy has been through a lot, but his heart remains open—he’s patiently waiting for that special person to see him for the incredible companion he is. 💙 **About Cloud:** ✨ **Breed:** Husky/Malamute mix ✨ **Age:** 4 years ✨ **Personality:** Gentle, affectionate, and a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he is incredibly loving and devoted. ✨ **Favorite Things:** Soft blankets, quiet afternoons, and staying close to his favorite human. ✨ **Special Considerations:** 🐾 Cloud does well with female dogs but needs a home without other males. 🐾 He thrives in an **adults-only** home where he can feel safe and at ease. 🐾 **Needs a secure backyard** during the day to feel comfortable and safe. 🐾 Would do best if his human **works from home** or is home often, as he loves companionship. 🐾 **No small dogs or cats**—Cloud needs a home without small animals. 🏡 **Cloud’s Ideal Home:** Cloud would flourish in a calm, loving environment where he can build trust and form a deep bond with his new family. He needs a patient and understanding human who will give him the time and space to feel secure. If you’re looking for a fiercely loyal companion with a heart as big as the sky, Cloud is ready to bring unconditional love into your life. 🐾 **Could Cloud Be Your Perfect Match?** If you feel a connection with Cloud and want to give him the safe, loving home he deserves, Please email us at Alljoy4paws@yahoo.com or apply here https://form.jotform.com/221926016430144 ✨ **Every rescue deserves a second chance. Story
Meet incredible Sparky💙, an irresistibly handsome husky/malamute boy, who is approximately 15 months old, 70 pounds of pure joy💞! He is up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and already neutered. Sparky is astonishingly sweet and playful with all people and dogs, and would thrive in an active family, preferably with another canine companion to share in the fun! He’s always ready for walks, trips, and cuddles, and is just as happy to lounge on the couch😻. Here’s what his foster family has to say about him: “Sparky is the sweetest, goofiest, most handsome young pup. He is social and absolutely wonderful with all dogs, people and kids. He LOVES playing with his toys and chews. Given his size and clumsy puppy antics, he probably would be best for a family with older kids. He does well alone for several hours at a time and in the three weeks we have had him he has not been destructive at all. He is a natural hunter and loves looking for lizards and gophers, and because of this strong drive he needs to be in a home without cats. He is a quick learner and is treat and praise motivated. He enjoys his daily walks with his foster fur sister and romps at the dog park but he can just as easily cuddle up on the couch next to you for a nap. We would keep him in a heartbeat if we don’t already have cats in the home. Sparky is just the best boy and deserves an active home with another friendly dog.” Sparky was rescued from a backyard breeder in SoCal, along with his siblings, who have all found their forever homes! It’s unbelievable that amazing Sparky is still waiting to find his soulmate family! Apply now to adopt Sparky and give him the life he deserves - a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure❤️! Someone will be forever grateful and blessed to welcome him into their family! Currently residing in Southern California, Sparky is eager to bring inspiration and joy to a family in northern states like Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or any other continental location, provided a suitable family is willing to open their hearts and home to him.
