Story
Please come to our adoption event to meet them: Saturday 05/28 from 4:30 pm to 6: pm at PetSmart in Clairemont,: 4253 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 ***Please read all the way down to the bottom so you can learn all about our sweet pet and about the requirements as well as the organization*** Hi!! Meet our beautiful, loving, and sensitive boy "Quinoa" - He is about 1 year old purebred Alaskan Malamute - He loves to play with other dogs :) He is very good with people and kids. Quinoa is an intelligent, highly-trainable, loving companion for life. We give the category of being a sensitive dog; because he was rescued when his female partner was run over and was dead on the road and will not leave her and laid down next to her screaming for her :( unfortunately at the time of rescuing him we were not able to take pics or videos as we had to rush and get him out of the road. He is currently being fostered with other dogs of all sizes; therefore, he will be great with a multi-family home with other pets. He will be great with a very active family, to take him along for walks, runs, hiking, camping, or just taking it easy and having a cup of coffee:) He is great in the crate; he won't bothered you if you have to work or get the kids to take a nap. - Quinoa has a nice fluffy coat with red tones in it. As a new family addition, he will need guidance as he gets a little shy in the 1st hours you meet him:) If you are ready for this commitment and open your heart to any of our adorable pups, please don't wait no longer. Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st choice of contact or email veronica.aaofus@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- Please do not leave voice messages - If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. No appointments will be made unless we have received an application; therefore, we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Donation Adoption fee includes up-to-date his yearly DHLPP vaccinations, spaying or neutering, deworming, flea medication, and a complementary health check up by a participating clinic near you. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! *****A minute of conscious - Please read:) ***** We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Please take a minute to tell yourself if you are ready to adopt and for this commitment. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!

Story
Location Southern California. Transports available, short & long distance. Inquire for details. (If this ad is running the dog is available.) IMPORTANT! Please check your Spam/Junk folder periodically for replies. Jackson is truly one of a kind Wooly Husky looking for his forever home after series of unfortunate events in his puppyhood. At just 18 months old he has cheated death multiple times. First abandoned by owners in high desert with his sibling where they had to fend for their lives to find food and survive, Then caught by dog catchers and turned over to the Worst extermination camp aka Apple Valley shelter where they were placed on euthanasia list. When a Good Samaritan notified us about these 2 pups about to get killed we took on a 6 hour drive rushing to their rescue. But that is not where this story ends. Unfortunately for them they contracted a deadly virus at the said shelter that was spreading like a wild fire at the time infecting 1000s of dogs. And because they were not vaccinated they became very ill. Despite the low odds we decided to battle it out which took months of costly treatments annd sleepless nights. Unfortunately his little sister didn’t make it after an 2 months fights and lost her precious life, which was very devastating. She was the kindest soul. Lucky for Jackson he fully recovered and without any complications. He is now as happy and healthy as can be hopeful for a new chance in life. It is impossible not to love him. He has an incredibly sweet demeanor and loves everyone! He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated weighing about 55 lbs of mostly fur. He does require frequent grooming and brushing due to long hair that gets matted easily. He is very easy going, great indoors, knows doggy door, quiet with no separation anxiety. He would do best with an active family, space to run free. Jackson is a great human companion dog. He prefers to be with people more than dogs and get lots of attention and belly rubs. He also tries to be a class clown. He is funny and has a very enjoyable personality. We are hopeful for a loving forever home for this boy who has easily become a favorite. Story
We adopted him from the SD Human Society in Dec 2021. We have provided so much love and care for him that sadly we are not able to keep up with his needs and care. He is a wonderful dog and gets a long with kids and small dogs. He is a Husky/malamute (It was noted Husky, but he looks more of a malamute). He loves to play catch (when he's not lazy); loves to escape if possible...loves to bark and talk to solicitors. Unfortunately with finance and my husband not being able to work due to a work injury then a car breaking down on us…we cannot afford. important notice: He just had an endoscopy to remove a fox tail.

These pups are in San Diego, California too!

Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Brie, a loyal companion with a tender heart. Her shyness is a testament to her gentle nature, and her reticence in new situations shows her careful consideration of her surroundings. Brie is a quiet observer, taking time to understand her environment before engaging. But don't mistake her quietness for indifference. Once Brie warms up, her loyalty shines brighter than any star. She becomes a steadfast friend, a confidante, a source of unwavering support. Brie is looking for a patient, loving family who can provide her with the same loyalty she so willingly gives. Her quiet nature makes her a perfect fit for a peaceful home where she can relax and truly come out of her shell. Story
Nala is a purebred akita. She has been rehomed now 4 times now so i’m trying to find her a forever home. She’s very sweet and has tons of energy. Would prefer her to move into a home with a backyard, but has been an apartment dog so if needed. She may do better either being an only dog or in a home with a younger dog than her. She comes with a crate, her bowl, some toys, and her leash.

Story
**** Please read adoption information carefully!!!**** Katya is a sweet, friendly girl! She is very curious, athletic, affectionate and loving. She loves to be loved on, played with, and encouraged. Katya was rescued from a farm in Tacate. She had been attacked and mauled by a coyote on that farm. A friend of mine took her to the vet for stitches, and then rescued her and brought her to me for treatment and protection. She is fully healed now, and has been spayed and vaccinated. Despite having been attacked by coyotes, she is not fearful of other, larger dogs. She is very playful and would do best in a home with at least one other canine companion. She is very affectionate, but not necessarily a lap dog. When not playing or investigating the yard, she prefers to snuggle and curl up in an open kennel, with some padding. Katya is a well-adjusted puppy who has been hand raised. All of the puppies at the rescue are fed together, and typically choose to share three or four bowls. Katya is used to playing and sleeping with the other dogs on the property. She is well socialized, both with humans and dogs. While I have never seen her interact with a cat, I have no reason to anticipate a problem. ************************************ ADOPTION INFORMATION ************************************ I only adopt LOCALLY; San Diego and immediate vicinity.
