Story
I have been the only owner since he was 8 weeks old. He just turned 6 years old. It breaks my heart that I have to let him go but I reached a point in my life that I cannot manage my career alongside raising this beautiful husky on my own in a tiny apartment any longer. I feel guilty keeping him because he truly deserves a better life with a nice yard and a family that has more time to give him the attention he needs. He is Extremely intelligent and very gentle. Not vocal at all. He is a total sweetheart. Has never shown any aggression towards any other dogs/animals. This dog gets maximum attention when taking him outside for walks, everyone compliments how beautiful he is on a daily basis.

Story
Please come to our adoption event to meet them: Saturday 05/28 from 4:30 pm to 6: pm at PetSmart in Clairemont,: 4253 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 ***Please read all the way down to the bottom so you can learn all about our sweet pet and about the requirements as well as the organization*** Hi!! Meet our beautiful, loving, and sensitive boy "Quinoa" - He is about 1 year old purebred Alaskan Malamute - He loves to play with other dogs :) He is very good with people and kids. Quinoa is an intelligent, highly-trainable, loving companion for life. We give the category of being a sensitive dog; because he was rescued when his female partner was run over and was dead on the road and will not leave her and laid down next to her screaming for her :( unfortunately at the time of rescuing him we were not able to take pics or videos as we had to rush and get him out of the road. He is currently being fostered with other dogs of all sizes; therefore, he will be great with a multi-family home with other pets. He will be great with a very active family, to take him along for walks, runs, hiking, camping, or just taking it easy and having a cup of coffee:) He is great in the crate; he won't bothered you if you have to work or get the kids to take a nap. - Quinoa has a nice fluffy coat with red tones in it. As a new family addition, he will need guidance as he gets a little shy in the 1st hours you meet him:) If you are ready for this commitment and open your heart to any of our adorable pups, please don't wait no longer. Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st choice of contact or email veronica.aaofus@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- Please do not leave voice messages - If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. No appointments will be made unless we have received an application; therefore, we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Donation Adoption fee includes up-to-date his yearly DHLPP vaccinations, spaying or neutering, deworming, flea medication, and a complementary health check up by a participating clinic near you. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! *****A minute of conscious - Please read:) ***** We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Please take a minute to tell yourself if you are ready to adopt and for this commitment. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!

Story
Meet Maddy! Maddy came to us from Wasco Shelter on May 25th. She is very sweet and gentle. Shortly after Maddie arrived, she went to live in a Foster home. We are excited to learn what this beautiful girl is like in a home environment.  We received an update from her Foster Mom: "Maddy is such a sweet girl! she is recovering from pneumonia and an ear infection in our foster home. She has mobility issues on the vinyl plank floors (she has severe spondylosis), so I put washable mats down by the couch, so she can get on and off without falling. She needs assistance with the stairs, we go up for bed at night, and down in the morning. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed. She doesn’t feel the need to follow me around and is fine staying downstairs during the day. Maddy is much better at walking on the sidewalks through the neighborhood than in the house. She wants to meet everyone in the neighborhood! She really enjoys curling up in the crate although it’s too small for her. So far she is 100% housebroken!" Check back soon for the next update! To become Maddy's forever family, please fill out our placement questionnaire at:   www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/apply   Learn more about our programs at:  www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/family   No adoption fees, and we provide free lifetime medical care onsite at FFF Veterinary Hospital.   Questions:  adopt@frostedfacesfoundation.org June 9, 2023, 10:35 pm

Story
We adopted him from the SD Human Society in Dec 2021. We have provided so much love and care for him that sadly we are not able to keep up with his needs and care. He is a wonderful dog and gets a long with kids and small dogs. He is a Husky/malamute (It was noted Husky, but he looks more of a malamute). He loves to play catch (when he's not lazy); loves to escape if possible...loves to bark and talk to solicitors. Unfortunately with finance and my husband not being able to work due to a work injury then a car breaking down on us…we cannot afford. important notice: He just had an endoscopy to remove a fox tail.

Story
Hello, I have a 7-month-old female Akita who currently weighs about 43 pounds that I am trying to rehome. Her birthday is on 10/30/2022. She is super sweet and energetic and she is great with people and children. She has completed training lessons (level 1&2) she pretty much knows the basics from sit, up, down, come here, and leave it. She is potty trained, however, if she moves to a new home it will take her time to adjust. She gets along really well with my sister's dog, who has a 3-year-old Australian Sheppard whom Leia has known since she was a pup, however, just recently she has not gotten along well with other new dogs (depending on her mood). She growls and barks at other dogs but has to this day NEVER bitten any dog or puppy (she's just very protective). She has seen cats from afar and is curious but has not encountered them up close. Unfortunately, I can’t keep her since I am moving to another state where they don’t allow dogs in the apartment complex.
