Story
We adopted him from the SD Human Society in Dec 2021. We have provided so much love and care for him that sadly we are not able to keep up with his needs and care. He is a wonderful dog and gets a long with kids and small dogs. He is a Husky/malamute (It was noted Husky, but he looks more of a malamute). He loves to play catch (when he's not lazy); loves to escape if possible...loves to bark and talk to solicitors. Unfortunately with finance and my husband not being able to work due to a work injury then a car breaking down on us…we cannot afford. important notice: He just had an endoscopy to remove a fox tail.

Story
Vader was born in November 2022 in Missouri. He was raised by a loving owner of his parents. His brother Luke is also available for adoption with him if you want two dogs. He is affectionate, strong and loves to run. He has been raised around two other adult malamutes and loves to come inside but is not 💯 house trained. He is smart and it would not take very much to train him for indoors.

Story
Please come to our adoption event to meet them: Saturday 05/28 from 4:30 pm to 6: pm at PetSmart in Clairemont,: 4253 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 ***Please read all the way down to the bottom so you can learn all about our sweet pet and about the requirements as well as the organization*** Hi!! Meet our beautiful, loving, and sensitive boy "Quinoa" - He is about 1 year old purebred Alaskan Malamute - He loves to play with other dogs :) He is very good with people and kids. Quinoa is an intelligent, highly-trainable, loving companion for life. We give the category of being a sensitive dog; because he was rescued when his female partner was run over and was dead on the road and will not leave her and laid down next to her screaming for her :( unfortunately at the time of rescuing him we were not able to take pics or videos as we had to rush and get him out of the road. He is currently being fostered with other dogs of all sizes; therefore, he will be great with a multi-family home with other pets. He will be great with a very active family, to take him along for walks, runs, hiking, camping, or just taking it easy and having a cup of coffee:) He is great in the crate; he won't bothered you if you have to work or get the kids to take a nap. - Quinoa has a nice fluffy coat with red tones in it. As a new family addition, he will need guidance as he gets a little shy in the 1st hours you meet him:) If you are ready for this commitment and open your heart to any of our adorable pups, please don't wait no longer. Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st choice of contact or email veronica.aaofus@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . Due to high volume of calls; NO PHONE calls are accepted at this time - therefore, please text us or email us.- Please do not leave voice messages - If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. No appointments will be made unless we have received an application; therefore, we can match you with the best fit for you. Follow us on Instagram @aaofus where you can see more pics. Please allow 48 hours to process applications and respond back to set up appointments. Unfortunately, responses back to those who do not qualify are not possible due to high volume of applications. Donation Adoption fee includes up-to-date his yearly DHLPP vaccinations, spaying or neutering, deworming, flea medication, and a complementary health check up by a participating clinic near you. Please consider adopting one (or more!) of these fur babies! *****A minute of conscious - Please read:) ***** We ask you Please to be SERIOUS adopters; as there have been so many people that are not ready. We set up meet & greet appointments, do a home visit or send them the address for some meet & greet locations, paperwork and suddenly they said they are not ready or spouse is not ready, etc. These fur kids have a very hard day the day of their appointment. Due to travelling we hold their food, so they won't get car sick. We bath them, some of them are schedule for grooming as you know it is stressful for them; then they have to travel with us picking up other rescued fur kids, and so on, it is a very stressful hard day for them for people to just cancel at last minute or not show up or do show up and just say they are not ready. Our time as well as your time is valuable. Please don't waste valuable time that is so precious for a rescued pet. Every single wasted time is a time that an animal will die because we didn't get to them on time to help them. In addition, of wasting gas and grooming fees which are paid by volunteers. Please take the time to put your shoes in the shoes of the volunteer and most of it to put your shoes on our rescued fur kids!! Please take a minute to tell yourself if you are ready to adopt and for this commitment. LIVE!! LOVE!! LAUGH!! ADOPT A RESCUED HOMELESS PET AND SAVE A LIFE!!

At just 18 months old he has cheated death multiple times. First abandoned by owners in high desert where he had to fend for his life to find food and survive, Then caught by dog catchers and turned over to the high kill Apple Valley shelter where he was placed on euthanasia list due to shelter having a viral outbreak. Lucky for Jackson he made it out alive and overcame all the hurdles. He is happy as can be and hopeful for a new chance in life. It is impossible not to love him. He has an incredibly sweet demeanor and loves everyone! He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated weighing about 55 lbs of mostly fur. He does require frequent grooming and brushing due to long fur that gets matted easily. He is very easy going, great indoors, knows doggy door, calm and quiet with no separation anxiety. He would do best with an active family and fenced space to run free. Jackson would make a great human companion rather than companion for another dog even though he has no issues with other dogs. He prefers to be with people and get lots of attention and belly rubs. He also tries to be a class clown. He is funny and has a very enjoyable personality. We are hopeful for a loving forever home for this boy who has easily become a favorite. Story
Oh Tonali!! We just love, love, love her personality. Tonali came to us after being abandoned at a shelter, skinny and with no hair. It was immediately apparent the abundance of personality and love this beautiful soul offers upon first meeting. We have been smitten ever since. Dog friendly, cat friendly and loves all people! This big beautiful bundle of love is all hugs and kisses. Tonali absolutely loves to go on walks and explore with her best friend. She is what we call a gentle quiet soul who will heal your heart the minute you meet her. In spite of her size of 90 lbs, she is the most gentle, calm companion you could meet. She loves to carry around her big oversized tennis ball and any soft toy you offer her. When you are ready to walk, so is she! When you are ready to rest, so is she! This girl just mirrors everything you want to do. She has been nothing but an absolute polite angel since the day we have met her. We have promised Tonali that she will spend the rest of her days with somebody who is home most of the time, active enough to go on daily walks and also has a ton of love to give. We are perplexed by her past as it appears that Tonali has had significant training. On the other hand, Tonali very much gets concerned about being in any kind of trouble and we wonder if she has met a harsh hand or voice. All we know is that she was absolutely loved at some point in her life and whoever it was taught her everything she knows and our heart is broken for whatever happened. We are looking for somebody to heal themselves and her together at the same time.
