Story
Hey all! Kenai here snooping around to find a fur-ever home I can call my own. Just in case you didn’t know, Kenai means ‘black bear’ to Native Americans. Don’t take that wrong…if anything I would love to be a cuddle bear to my new hoo-mans! I am a young pup, just a little over 2 years old. I came to Moonsong because my mom couldn’t take care of me anymore and wanted to find just the right home for me. She figured Moonsong would have the best chance of getting that accomplished. I know a lots of the basic commands and do pretty well on a leash. I love walks but my prey drive really kicks in if I see other critters in my area. It is my personal belief that all smaller animals were put on this earth for my amusement. Therefore, they must be chased! I am a very strong boy and it takes a stronger hoo-man to control me when I want to go after one. I have lived with smaller children but because I am a big boy, kids under 8 probably aren’t a good idea. I would be very sad if I knocked one down and they got hurt. I’ve been around other dogs and think I would like playing but the smaller they are, the more I think I might like chasing them. The same goes for cats. I’ve seen them…been around them…but why take chances! Even with the dogs my size, slow introductions are always the best. On second thought, I might really like being an only ‘child’! From Moonsong: Kenai is neutered, will be UTD on vaccinations and is microchipped. Kenai’s foster dad says that he is a very friendly dog and loves to shadow him. He loves people and the attention he gets from them. He prefers to be with his hoo-mans and can be a bit vocal when alone but even then, he is pretty quiet about that.
