Story
Timber is everything you could want in a canine companion. She is sweet, playful, charming, silly, and has a lot of love to give! Unfortunately, my sister started experiencing unrelated health complications only a few short months after she adopted Timber. Due to the unexpected physical limitations she now faces, she has not been able to give Timber the attention and exercise her breed needs. Ideally, Timber would go to someone who has the time and energy to take her on long walks several times a week and play with her daily. She is very well behaved and does not get destructive, loud, or aggressive when her needs aren’t met, but over the weeks her personality has changed and we can tell she isn’t happy with the amount of activity she is receiving in her current situation. Timber’s behavior with other dogs is somewhat unpredictable, and we recommend she goes to a single dog home. Because her breed is highly prey-driven, she is unable to live safely with cats.

Story
Meet Strider💙 — the handsome adventure buddy with the best mismatched eyes. Strider is a 7-year-young neutered male with a sweet, playful personality and a truly unforgettable look — he has one blue eye and one brown eye. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for a walk, romp around the yard, and then come inside to hang out and be your shadow. Strider is moderate energy: he loves walks, but he’s also totally happy to relax at home and play with you inside. While he’d love a yard to zoom around in, he would also likely do just fine in an apartment as long as he gets daily exercise and enrichment. ✅ Good with other dogs 🚫 Probably not good with cats (he is VERY interested in them) ✅ Great with visitors — he may give a couple soft “boofs,” then settles right in Strider enjoys toys (especially rubber balls) and one of his favorite hobbies is… enthusiastically destroying rubber toys. If you like buying toys and watching your dog have the time of his life? Strider is your guy. He is also neutered and fully vaccinated. Affectionate… with boundaries Strider is a very loving dog — he enjoys pets and snuggles and does well with handling when he approaches you first. He’s happiest when his humans respect his space and let him initiate affection (and once he does, he’s a total sweetheart). Training update Strider is currently working on: Crate training Leash training (he still pulls quite a bit) With consistency and positive reinforcement, he will continue to improve. Important note (please read) Strider does have a bite history. In a previous incident, someone leaned closely over him while he was grooming. Strider seemed got studded with the sudden move bit the person’s face, leaving two punctures. The incident was quick — he released immediately and did not attempt to bite again. Because of this, Strider needs: A home with no children Adults who understand dog body language A home that will be cautious when Strider is grooming himself, sleeping, or chewing bones/toys Strider is not a “bad dog” — he’s a dog who needs the right environment and humans who will respect his boundaries so he can feel safe and successful. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, affectionate best friend who will thrive with structure, respect, and love, Strider may be the perfect match. Currently being cared for in Spirit Lake, Idaho, Strider can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome him.
