Story
these sweet bois (jake and colby) were found as part of a animal hoarding situation by our friends at skagit humane. they were then in the shelter a little before before being put into a foster homes with us. in foster they are living with adults, and other dogs while they work on their confidence. they have not been tested with kids or cats yet. jake is a sensi and shy lil guy who is looking for a loving, calm, and patient home with people who celebrate the small wins like when he initiates a snuggle and know that progress takes time. a home maybe with a very patient and understanding older dog to show him the ropes and that life isn’t so scary and show him how to be a dog. he is making great strides in foster but was quite shut down and scared when we first got him. he is working on potty training, crate training, and learning to trust and love. if you adopt him and give him time and gentle constant dedication and support you will have an inseparable unbreakable bond for life💙

Story
**This dog is not in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes. Rather we are assisting his current owner with rehoming him (at no fault of his own). If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application here: https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform** Gray — Smart, Sweet, Sun-Loving Senior Breed: Malamute / Alaskan Cattle Dog Mix Color: Black & White Sex: Male Age: 9 years, 4 months Estimated Birthdate: 07/23/2016 Gray is a bright, eager-to-please senior who combines intelligence with gentle affection. Highly trainable and sweet, he gets especially excited when he thinks it’s time for a walk, often “talking” in adorable howls. He enjoys lounging quietly in the sun, making him the perfect mellow companion for a calm household. Gray adores children of all ages, is patient and gentle, and is well socialized with other dogs. He may chase cats, squirrels, or rabbits, so outdoor supervision is recommended. One of his cutest habits is patiently waiting for apple cores while his family enjoys their slices—tail wagging, of course! Gray has food allergies and takes 8mg of Chlorpheniramine twice daily with meals, but otherwise, he has no behavioral issues. This mild-mannered, confident senior is a loving, loyal companion who will bring joy, warmth, and intelligence to any home.

Story
plum (along with peach and jake and colby) was found as part of a animal hoarding situation by our friends at skagit humane. he was then in the shelter a little before before being put into a foster home with us. in foster he is living with adults, and other dogs while he works on his confidence. he has not been tested with kids or cats yet. plum and peach are bit more outgoing and brave than the others but still need a calm, patient and understanding family to help them blossom into the best bb doggies they can be. plum is working on crate training and potty training in foster and is getting braver every day. he could benefit from having a calm and patient and brave older dog in the home to show him the ropes and not get annoyed w him when he plays like a silly goose. plum would thrive in a home with similar adults as well- very understanding and patient and ones that know that healing takes time and so does trust. if you are excited and able to provide that - with a lil time plum could in turn show you the cuddliest most loving bond💜

Story
Imagine a life with a serene and gentle snow dog? Meet our lovely 2yr old laid-back girl Luna🌙. She and her 2 puppies needed rescue so we stepped up, she deserves a life of luxury and is ready for her forever home🏡 . Her foster mom says she adores to spend time with her humans to get plenty of pets and bellyrubs, and also unwinds a lot during the day. She’s house trained, loves daily walks, is great on a leash and seems to enjoy her peaceful environment😸. She might be best as an only dog cuz she truly thinks she is a princess👑 but never rule out a sibling. She's a bigger girl weighing in at 62lbs but she wears it well. She's truly an awesome choice and she's waiting to hear from you! She's chipped, vaccinated and spayed so look into that sweet face and get your application in ASAP cuz she's excited to meet you!!😻🤠 Currently being cared for in Southern California, Luna can be transported to northern states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or other locations within the continental United States, where a loving family awaits to welcome the sweet girl.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing Ghost! This stunning sweetheart is a playful and loving 5-year-old Malamute mix who is looking for his forever home! Ghost is incredibly friendly, happy and loves to play around outside with his people! He is a leaner and loves pets and attention too. Ghost walks well on leash but can get excited and pull at times. He is large, around 75-80lbs and will need an adopter who can handle his size, strength, and his desire to be cuddled up in your arms! Ghost has done well with other dogs in our care, and actually came from a home where he lived with two other large dogs. He would do well with another large laid back dog in the home or could do fine as an only dog soaking up all of the love and attention. No cats or small animals for him as he has a very high prey drive. He will do best in a home where his family is not gone long hours or takes him with them often. Ghost is an active dog who will make an AMAZING adventure companion for any lucky outdoorsy family. He would love a home that takes him on many adventures as well as has a large yard for him to run and explore. Anything involving snow brings him so much joy and although he likes a good adventure, he can also be a total couch potato! Although he is a super friendly and cuddly dude, he can be strong and bouncy and needs some continued basic obedience training. He has come a long ways on house training however and absolutely LOVES to cuddle with his person! We are recommending an adult only home or a home with kids over the age of 12. He will also require a fence that is at least 6ft tall. Ghost is going to make an incredible addition to any lucky household that adopts him and will be a very loyal companion. Ghost is UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Introducing this amazing bonded pair, Chevy and Harley! These sweet Alaskan Malamutes brothers are ~4-years-old, and ~50lbs. They came to us as an owner surrender due to their owner no longer being able to care for both of them. Chevy and Harley are absolutely awesome dogs! They are very loving, well socialized, gentle, and great with other dogs. They enjoy spending their days in a play yard playing with a few of our other friendly dogs. Both pups walk very well on leash and love to be close to their handler. They also know a few tricks and basic commands already. They would love a home that can be active with them and take them on adventures! Chevy and Harley have lived in a home before and are housetrained. They do great being groomed and overall, just loves anything that has to do with being near their people. They truly miss being in a home and hope to find their forever home soon! Both boys are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. Their adoption fee is $800.
