ADOPTION FEE: $450 Meet Prickly Pear! This gorgeous girl came to us with a hernia which is currently being treated. She has come to Colorado in search of her forever home! From her amazing foster: (3/13) "She’s doing great post surgery. She loves her people and other dogs. She’s got some pretty brittle nails. Several have broken during walks. We are trying to keep her in grass or dirt for exercise. We have only been keeping her in the pen, not the crate. She doesn’t love either, but it’s easier for us to get her into the pen. Once there, she’s fine. She will need some patience with house training. We’ve got her on a pretty good schedule, but she still has accidents. She’s an absolute lover. Still pretty skittish around different household noises. She’s sometimes a little worried around men, she cowers and often runs away. She’s definitely my shadow. She’s not aggressive with toys at all. She’s made our Lola a better dog. They get along beautifully." ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Beam! This adorable boy is such a big cuddle bug! He is a tripod baby and wants nothing but love. Unfortunately we are not sure what happened to him but he had a broken leg and they decided to amputate it. His other leg is going to need a TPLO surgery (covered by All Aboard Animal Rescue) and he is ready for his forever home who can provide him with enough love and care. If you are looking for a huge cuddle meatball, this is your man! He LOVES other dogs and all people! Beam is currently being fostered by one of AAAR's staff members, here is what she has to say about him! "Beam is actual perfection in a giant body. The epitome of a gentle giant. He is incredible with other dogs, he tolerates my crazy pit so well. My personal dog can be rambunctious and play rough, and even with three legs and an injured leg he does great with her. He is so gentle with other dogs AND cats, he also adores just about every human he meets. He is still navigating how to get around with three legs, having an injured back leg does not help, but that does not stop him. He still sploots every chance he can. I call it his mermaid pose instead. On hardwood floors, he tends to slip a bit more into his mermaid pose but it does not seem to bother him! He is potty trained and crate trained (sometimes he will be drama about going into his crate but he can't resist a little treat.) He is also fantastic on leash and does not pull! The only time there is ever tension on the leash is when he decides he does not want to walk or he gets excited. He is great at listening when you point to go to his bed, he also knows sit and paw! He will continue to paw you over and over again too. He can be a bit dramatic when being told to do something he does not want to do and he will throw both of his front paws in the air and fall to the side. He sleeps incredibly through the night, I have to be the one to wake him up. He does snore like a bear, but it does not bother me to know that he feels happy and safe enough to sleep as hard as he does. Beam would make the perfect addition to literally any family who wants a gentle giant. He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday. Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in. Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down. Huey is an adorable 4-5 year-old happy-go-lucky American Bulldog/Boxer mix. Huey is excellent at all kinds of Colorado adventuring - hiking, running, camping and brewery hopping. He's happy to crash out on the couch with his people and watch the Broncos (or Love Island, although he'll never admit it). Huey is house and crate trained, knows basic commands and is a absolute gentleman on leash. Huey LOVES kiddos and is respectful of kitties, too! Huey loves his people so much, he may prefer to be your one and only pup, but he may also do well with a well-matched dog friend. Huey is such a hilarious buddy and has the most endearing and loving personality. Huey is also a super quiet dog. His foster reports that he has never heard him bark or make much noise at all. Huey would probably be just fine in an apartment or condo setting because he is so easy and quiet but really just wants a person or family that has a lot of time to spend with him and who is looking for a cuddly, constant companion.
