Story
Linda is a sweet, older girl looking for her next home. She may be a bit apprehensive at first, but with a little time, she warms right up! Her best buddy in the whole world, Sassie, is also here at the shelter with us and we would love nothing more for them to find a home together. We`re even offering the duo at a 2-for-1 adoption price to help sweeten the deal! At this time, we are requiring them to be adopted together. At this time, HSBV will only rehome Linda to a family either without children or with children over the age of 10.

Story
Sporty Spots is a very handsome Saint Bernard American Bulldog mix that weighs about 80 pounds! He absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday.  Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in.  Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down.  Overall, Spots is an amazing dog that is waiting for his forever home. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He also is very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard! He loves toys and water and would make the perfect travel buddy! Story
Huey is an adorable 4-5 year-old happy-go-lucky American Bulldog/Boxer mix. Huey is excellent at all kinds of Colorado adventuring - hiking, running, camping and brewery hopping.  He's happy to crash out on the couch with his people and watch the Broncos (or Love Island, although he'll never admit it). Huey is house and crate trained, knows basic commands and is a absolute gentleman on leash. Huey LOVES kiddos and is respectful of kitties, too! Huey loves his people so much, he may prefer to be your one and only pup, but he may also do well with a well-matched dog friend. Huey is such a hilarious buddy and has the most endearing and loving personality. Huey is also a super quiet dog. His foster reports that he has never heard him bark or make much noise at all. Huey would probably be just fine in an apartment or condo setting because he is so easy and quiet but really just wants a person or family that has a lot of time to spend with him and who is looking for a cuddly, constant companion.  If you're interested in adopting Huey, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/.  Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!    ##1818577##

Story
We have had our 5 year old bully since birth, and she has done very well until she turned about 4. She tore both of her ACL’s and ended up needing multiple surgeries to repair them completely. She is now healed and as healthy as ever (up to date on all immunizations, medical appointments, heart guard, etc) and as playful as ever. Her issue now, however is that she has become extremely aggressive towards our older German shepherd that she has been around her entire life. We did everything we possible could to help her, including sending her to a very expensive boarding school for over a month. She is very obedient now and utilizes an E-Collar all the time and a muzzle when on walks. She still can not be around our other dog as even with the efforts and training, she still tries to attack him. We additionally have a 1 year old son in the home that Stella does amazing with. She is the biggest teddy bear with humans, is a huge goofball and has a good heart. She needs a responsible owner.

These pups are in Boulder, Colorado too!

Story
LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Owner Responsibilities: To help Lion thrive, he’ll need: Daily exercise (walks, play, and engagement) Structure, training, and positive reinforcement Plenty of affection and time with his family A safe, stable home where he won’t be left alone too long Give him routine, purpose, and love — and Lion will give you devotion for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally. Why Lion Would Be a Great Addition: Lion is a loyal, affectionate, and joy-filled companion who will bring warmth and love into any home. His expressive Boxer charm, playful energy, and gentle nature make him the kind of dog who forms bonds that last a lifetime. He’ll make you laugh, comfort you on hard days, and love you with everything he has. He’s not just a dog — he’s family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Greetings and salutations, Colorado, it’s me, Gonzo! I like to fancy myself a courteous and honorable gent, and my mom always told me begging is bad manners, but the Underdogs assured me that begging for a hero to help save you is the exception to that rule. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Gonzo and I’m a 2-3 year-old gentle giant Boxer/American Bulldog mix buddy and I'm crossing all my paws for a hero foster or adopter. My Underdogs foster folks can only surmise that I was once somebody’s well-loved guy before I ended up in the dog clink.  I have impeccable bathroom manners, walk politely on leash and lounge quietly on my dog bed.  I’ll never know why my previous peoples stopped loving me and why they left me to wander the cold winter streets alone. What I do know, though, is that I’ve never stopped loving the peoples, ALL the peoples. Because man alive, do I love them! I could sweetly lean into them for pets and cuddles all day long. And if they gave me proper permission, I’d also happily cover them in my signature Gonzo smooches. It’s also my sole mission in life to make them laugh with my hilarious antics and sweet demeanor. I'm a calm dude in the home, but I also love to go for runs, walks and hikes. Basically, I'm down for all the Colorado adventuring.  I do well around other good fit dog friends, but my best fit home may be one where I'm your only four-legged best bud. Believe me, I've got so much love to give, one Gonzo guy is all you'll ever need. I truly am such an easy well-mannered giant lover, I just know you'll love me once you meet me.  I'm neutered, vaccinated  If you’re interested in learning more about me and hopefully set up a meeting, please fill out an adoption application at https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/  and if you're interested in helping spring me from this sad and lonely dog clink by helping to foster me, I would be soo sooo grateful, please fill out a foster application at https://underdogsrescue.org/foster-form/ .  ##1906137##
