Allman is the definition of a Boxer, from his looks to his personality traits! This 8-year-old boy is always looking for opportunity to play, and loves making everything a game. He is a great ball player and may not always bring it back, but his enthusiasm keeps the game going. He enjoys carrying toys around wherever he goes, squeaky toys are super fun, but Kong toys are also wonderful. He also has a prankster side with shoes and likes to untie your laces when you are walking. He is loyal to his friends here at Satchel's but can be a bit picky. He takes a little time to get to know people and, although he is high energy, he prefers a calm first-time meeting. Allman has a Woof Pack leader here at Satchel's and they are working on his acceptance of new people. Once accepted, Allman is a loving, playful, intelligent boy who can't wait to be with you. He walks very well on a leash and loves going on adventures. He knows his basic commands and with treats, he can do them with a swiftness. Allman would be the perfect canine companion for someone who loves being active or has a love for and understanding of the Boxer breed. He would do well with a fenced in yard, or multiple walks to get some of the energy down. Brandy was originally rescued from a death sentence by her foster mom wanting to make sure Brandy received the medical care she needed for a torn ACL. Once the medical care was completed the family had hopes of rehoming her due to increased agression toward their first dog who is anxious and deaf. After being unsuccessful in finding her a home, they reached out to Satchel's for help. Brandy appears to have had a bad start to life but received care and love in her last home and is now looking to continue that love in a forever home. Although it was a difficult decision to give Brandy up, the home was just not the right one for Brandy and they knew Satchel's could help find that perfect home. Brandy takes her time warming up to you. She wants to know you’ll be good to her before she opens her heart to you. Once Brandy gets comfortable with you her personality comes out. She is playful and loves to give you hugs! Brandy walks very well on the leash, and she knows basic tricks: sit, lay down and shake. Brandy may be best suited as the only dog in the house because of the reactivity shown in her last home. But, there is a possibility that with the right pairing she will thrive with a doggy sibling! She’s independent, stubborn, and very much knows what she wants—this is a dog with opinions. She has good leash manners and does best with calm, respectful handling. While Oakley isn’t immediately affectionate, she can be sweet with someone who’s willing to give her time, patience, and consistency. Once trust is built, her softer (and slightly goofy) side starts to show—especially if you discover her favorite thing: being scratched with a toilet brush, which she absolutely loves. Oakley is looking for an experienced, understanding home that appreciates a strong personality and is willing to work for that loving, cuddly side. She may not be a lap dog, but for the right person, Oakley will be a uniquely rewarding companion.

Zara has been with me since november 2021. I adopted her from someone who could no longer keep her. She loves people, but needs to be the only animal in her new home. Zara loves car rides, long walks and snuggling together in the recliner. Shes such a sweet girl and Loves to play ball and get belly rubs! Up to date on all shots, plus shes been on simparica trio for a long time(flea, tick and heartworm prevention) I've taken her for checkups every 6 months. I took her to a dog trainer for about 6 months in the past. I have had many health issues and injuries in the past year that made me unable to take care of Zara. She has been living with a friend of mine, but as of september, she cannot stay there. If you currently have no pets, please consider adding Zara to your family! She has been a wonderful dog and deserves a loving home. She is good with children and loves people in general. It hurts me a lot to lose her and I want the best for her.

Marcus is a 7 year old bulloxer. He is the sweetest boy that just wants to share his love. He is energetic with a funny personality. He loves to play fetch, tug-o-war and cuddle. He loves going for walks, is excellent on a leash, and is very good traveling in a car. Someone with a backyard would be ideal. Marcus is very loved and well taken care of. He knows sit, spin, paw, down, off, drop, high five, leave it and wait. He is used to being boarded and daycare. I have another dog that is now a senior with joint issues. She is getting snippy and lunging at him. I’m afraid she will lose patience eventually and I’d like to prevent any accidents. I no longer feel I can give Marcus the love and attention he so much deserves. I love Marcus very much, it breaks my heart but I truly feel he will be better off with a family who can give him the time, love and patience he needs. He is not destructive, can be left alone uncrated for 8/9 hours. All supplies included, fee is only to deter abusers
