Hi! My name is Jolina. Before I got rescued by Lucci's, I was at the big scary city shelter, terrified of people. I don't really know how I got there, some ladies put some food in a box and the next thing I knew, I couldn't get out! People had reported seeing me run around for 2 weeks with my front leg hurting. Once I got to the shelter the doctor there said my leg was a healed break. I found it hard to make friends at the shelter, but my foster mom took me under her wing, and worked on socializing me. I have turned out to love her! I turn to her for confidence when I'm not sure about something. As you can see from my photo, I have the best smile! I am a spayed female, approximately 2 years old, weigh 34lbs and love going on walks around my neighborhood and coming back home to a frozen peanut butter kong. I am dog and cat friendly! I prefer a dog who isn't super playful and will leave my toys alone. I don't really like to share, though my foster mom tells me sharing is caring… I am mostly housebroken, but sometimes I do have accidents overnight so my foster mom leaves potty pads down & I do use those! I have not met any kids yet, but I don't think young kids would be my cup of tea. They're very loud and move too fast, but older teenagers who respect my space will do just fine. I do have stranger danger, and like to protect my person. Men are also pretty scary. The most important thing to know about me is that once I feel safe around you, you have my complete trust. I will love you forever!

She is hoping to find her forever home to settle down in. She would make an excellent lounge companion!

Maeby is a happy and loving girl, that has an amazing 1 eyebrow charm and killer head tilt. Maeby is happy to sit in your lap or play by your side. Her favorite past time is to do some deep couch sitting watching afternoon talk shows. She has gotten along with certain dogs in the past but does not do well with small dogs or pushy dogs, we recommend slow introductions. Because Maeby is still young, we feel she has a lot of opportunities for training as she is eager to learn and is food motivated. . She rides well in the car and is almost completely potty trained. Maeby does have some separation anxiety that is currently managed with medication, we would recommend maintaining this for future happiness. Maeby has been diagnosed with luxating patellas, that currently do not require surgery but does require medication. Lilly is now living the life of luxury, as every princess should. She was rescued from a terrible backyard living situation where life was a challenge. Will continue Lilly's lavish lifestyle? She is crate trained, so she can easily be left alone. She does have a little separation anxiety, but that is because she just loves to be with people. Lilly is very friendly and adores people. She is tolerant of cats and other dogs, but as always slow introductions are always required. Lilly does tend to guard her sleep area, but what princess doesn't need their undisturbed beauty sleep? Speaking of beauty sleep, Lilly loves to cuddle under the covers as her favorite past time. Cookie came to us as a stray with a microchip. Unfortunately, his owners never responded to our calls and texts. He was microchipped by IACS, so we contacted them for more info. This is what they told us: Looks like he was with us twice in 2022. Returned to owner both times. Officer said no issues handling. Intake staff said very sweet and squishy. Loves butt scratches. One note says Strong! But so sweet. A bit snatchy with treats. He came in once with a second dog. But other time alone. He lives in a foster home with 3 other large dogs and a toddler. He does great with everyone. He is underweight at 66 lbs, but should likely be closer to 75 lbs. We are estimating he is 5 - 6 years old. He is a very sweet dog who is EXTREMELY potty trained. He will hold it a very long time to avoid making a mess in his crate or kennel. He does need to be fed separate from other dogs, but that may go away once he recognizes that food is not scarce. Cookie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
