Story
Red is a thick mixed breed, likely has some boxer in her.  She is around 55 lbs.  Red is listed as special needs because she is heartworm positive.   Red is fine around and with other dogs, specifically her companion Shortly, who she arrived with. We do suggest meet and greet with any new housemate prior to us approving an adoption.  Red is super shy of new people and does take a bit of time to warm up to each new person she meets.  If you have interest please stop in to meet her or give us a call if you have questions. Story
Myles is 8 years 4 months old. He is a Victorian Bulldog. We got him when he was 8 weeks from Petland. He has lived in our home all his life with 3 teenagers, two adult and a Carian Terrier, who died a year ago)He is a sweet boy but as he has gotten older and the other dog is gone, and the children have all grown and moved out, he is showing some protection or guarding over me. He went through puppy training and was really good. We had to have had him go through training 2 more times to change bad behaviors (barking at any sound and people, charging the door when people ring the door bell and jumping up grabbing the leash while in walks) our Vet had us put him on Trazadone for anxiety - He is really his best when it is just my husband and I. When we go out of town he goes to All tails wagging Boarding and has been fine, but he does alone playtime. He loves walks, playing ball, running around the back yard with the neighbors black lab and sleeping a lot.

Story
Rory is the last of our 'Gilmore Girls' still looking for a home.  This 2 year old, Boxer/Bulldog mix is ready for her forever home! She came to us via a rescue partner transfer. She has completed our training program and is such a sweet girl. Seriously, nobody gives better hugs than Rory! She is a lover of her people, toys and cuddling. She enjoys walks, playing and exploring. Rory does, however, wish to be an only pet! You can't blame a girl for wanting to be an only child ;)  She is great with every person she meets and loves attention. She has been a rockstar in the training program and has made great improvements! Rory's ideal home would be with a family who gives her toys, a comfy dog bed and treats her like a queen! She is spayed, microchipped, HW negative and up to date on vaccines. She is also potty trained, crate trained, knows her basic commands and does great on a leash. If you are interested in adding Rory to your family please visit our website and complete an application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables Rory's adoption fee has been partially sponsored and is just $150  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.February 11, 2026, 10:16 am

Story
Meet Georgia!! This classy gal strutted into the shelter as a stray on 10/24/25, and we think she’s about 5 years old. Don’t let her initial shyness fool you — Georgia warms up fast once she realizes you’re part of her fan club. We’re pretty sure she used to live the good life, because the moment she spotted the bench, she hopped right up like “Ah yes, my throne.” This girl clearly believes furniture is for queens — and she is most definitely one. 👑 Georgia is sweet, friendly, and absolutely powered by treats. She’s looking for a forever home with someone who appreciates her refined taste and snuggle potential. She is available for adoption now, so hurry in to meet her before someone else claims this couch-loving cutie! 📍 Richland County Dog Shelter Mansfield, OH 📞 419-774-5892 📩 Applications can be requested via dogs@richlandcountyoh.gov
