Story
Hello! My name is Montana!I'm an energetic goofball! I get excited when meeting new people and am a joy to be around!I enjoy playing with other dogs and would love to join a home that has another playful dog that will run and wrestle with me to burn off some energy! I have chased cats in the past so would not be suitable to a home with cats. Given my size and exuberance, I could live with older children but would not be suited for young or small kids as I may knock them over.To set me and my new family up for success, I would do best with owners that have previous dog experience and a fenced yard so I have a safe space to run around and play.If you think I would be a good match for your home, click "adopt me" to apply!

Story
Pepper, aka Pepperoni, aka Pepperooni is a sweet bully mix that`s ready to find her perfect family!! She`s an enthusiastic, smart, fun-loving girl that needs an active home. She loves chewing up toys and running around outside but her absolute favourite activity is to rough and tumble with her doggie friends. Pepper would likely do well in a home with another big, high-energy dog that can keep up with her! Probably not in a home with small dogs or pets, as she plays rough. Pep`s seems to like most people but sometimes needs a minute to warm up to strangers - she will accept bribes in the form of cookies or treats to help speed the process along. Pepper has enjoyed participating in training sessions, where she`s been working on some basic tricks. Pepper appears to have some allergies to food but has responded well since being fed a `hypo` diet. Her skin will likely require lifelong maintenance so speaking with your regular vet prior to adoption is recommended.

Story
Looking for a laid back sidekick?? Bo's nickname is 'fat boy' according to his foster. He likes to eat everything. He's going to need a strict diet!! He loves to sit in his baby pool and soak up the sun. He's not very intelligent (as in he can be a little derpy) but he's a good boy. He sits when he's commanded to and he will come!! He's not one of those that will run off, he will stick around for the most part to be near his people. He would be a very good family dog. He can be selective with other dogs, so would need proper introductions and to be around submissive or playful dogs. When it comes to physical characteristics, this boy is just a big hunk of love. His feet are huge, but he is gentle. He doesn't jump up, he knows how to keep 4 on the floor. He does like to dig tunnels but we believe that is because he is trying to get out of the Texas sun. He will need to have mental stimulation to break this habit. He dug a cave in the sand of the backyard at the fosters home, and hides in it during the day. He will take his toys and bones into the den and the foster can never find him. Story
Dixie is in boarding in southern Ontario and desperately needs a local foster or forever home! What a peach! Dixie is the SWEETEST DOG. She couldn't be more excited to start living her best life, and is full of optimism and energy. She's got a sparkling character and makes great friends with everyone she meets. She LOVES attention and affection. This poor girl has had a long road to recovery since she first landed in the shelter in 2019. She was adopted then but soon after found herself back on the streets and still suffering from several untreated conditions. By the time she was caught and taken back to the shelter in September of 2021, she was covered in sores and scabs with a prolapsed uterus and a violent stomach infection. After more than a year of trying different foods, medicines and topicals, and a LOT of gentle loving care and many doctor's visits, Dixie's fosters have gotten her healthy and ready to be adopted. She's ok with other dogs after careful introductions, but would also be super happy getting all the lovin' herself. She's well-behaved in the home, but needs work with her leash skills. She's very strong! She has lived with a cat and was wildly obsessed with it, so much so that she couldn't relax unless it was locked in another room, so a cat-free home would be best for her. Story
*** This dog is in a foster home in southern Ontario. To submit an application, please visit www.lastminutedogrescue.com/adopt ***Isabell is believed to have been a stray. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was a horrible looking dog. She had no fur (had completely raw skin), and she was skin and bones. She was rushed to a vet by the foster and immediately put on a medicated shampoo and medications. She has pulled through amazingly, put on weight and looks so good but will need a clean environment to live, and the occasional bath to help keep her skin healthy. Something sad about Isabell is that the foster noticed that she acted extremely depressed for the first 2 months. She moped around and rarely wagged her tail. She wouldn't come up to people, but acted sad all the time. She was one of the fosters favorite as her sweet eyes told a story that no one but her will ever know. We are looking for a family that can bring her out of this state. She has perked up a bit in the last few weeks, but still not at her full potential. Her best friend is a little chihuahua named Blurr. He helped bring her out of her shell. They play/run around like psychos, so she would do well in a home with another dog. Story
Hello there! My name is Dolly, and I'm a 10-month-old female American Bulldog. If I may say so myself, I am simply the cutest pup you'll ever lay eyes on. With my big puppy eyes and adorable snout, I'm sure to melt your heart in an instant. I'm a bundle of energy, and nothing makes me happier than going for long walks and playing with toys. I'll be honest, I may not always be aware of my own strength, and sometimes I get incredibly excited, resulting in me pulling on the leash and jumping up to greet people. I promise to learn quickly with the right guidance and patience. With your help, I know I can master the art of polite leash walking in no time. Plus, I'm a quick learner and eager to please, so I'm confident that we'll make a great team! When it comes to meeting other furry friends, I get along great with my foster siblings (dogs and cat). However, I was in a home with another dog for a couple of days and for some reason we didn’t get along. Even though I don't know why we didn't click (I guess it just wasn’t meant to be), I'll continue to love and get along with my current foster siblings until I find my forever home. While I don't necessarily need a yard, I would absolutely love one! With all the energy I have, it's important that I have plenty of space to burn it off. However, if you don't have a yard, no worries! I'm adaptable and will adjust to whatever space you have, as long as you can give me plenty of exercise and playtime. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and adorable companion, then look no further! I'm ready to fill your life with endless love, laughter, and cuddles. So why wait? Submit your application today, and let's start our journey together!
