Meet Beefcake — A Short, Sturdy Heartthrob!This totally handsome boy is Beefcake, and we admit that we are slightly obsessed with him! Beefcake is an approximately 3-year-old, 50-pound bulldog mix. He may be a solid boy, but he is quite short, making him an adorable little tank with a huge personality and an even bigger heart.Beefcake gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and dog-experienced children. Although he is not generally a high-energy dog, he occasionally gets a serious case of the zoomies! Because he is strong and could accidentally knock over a small child when he gets excited, a home with older or dog-savvy children would be the best fit.This sweet boy rides perfectly in the car, is not much of a barker, and gives absolutely fantastic kisses. He loves attention, belly rubs, and simply spending time with his people. Beefcake is not particularly interested in playing for long periods, but he enjoys leisurely, short walks. When he decides the walk is over, however, he plants his feet, puts on the brakes, and makes it very clear that he will not be going one step farther!Beefcake does okay in a crate and remains quiet while inside, but crating is not his favorite thing. His adopter should be willing to help him become more comfortable through patience, positive reinforcement, and reasonable periods of crate time rather than expecting him to spend long hours confined.As a bulldog mix, Beefcake may be more sensitive to heat and humidity than some other dogs. Meet Brownie — Your Loyal, Loving Sidekick Brownie is an 8-year-old Bulldog/Pit mix with a heart that somehow grew even bigger than his past. Before coming into rescue, he didn’t receive the care he deserved, but you would never know it from the joyful, affectionate, tail-wagging boy he is today. Brownie has spinal spondylosis, which means he walks with a little extra character and sometimes needs a minute to loosen up after resting. But don’t let that fool you — this boy still gets the zoomies, runs up stairs, hops around with excitement, and embraces life with enthusiasm. He doesn’t let anything slow him down. And then there’s that underbite. Those tiny teeth peeking out are absolutely irresistible. One look at his sweet face and you’ll understand why everyone falls in love so quickly. Brownie is the definition of a cuddle bug. He lives for belly rubs, kisses, and curling up in bed with his foster family. If you’re on the couch, he’s right there beside you. If you’re heading to bed, he’ll happily join you. His favorite place in the world is wherever his people are. He loves being outside, whether it’s going for walks or riding in the car. This fun-loving guy simply loves life and has so much joy to share. He even enjoys bath time. Important things to know about Brownie: Brownie does not do well with cats, though he does well with most dogs and is currently best buddies with a foster puppy in the home. Brownie is not a fan of storms. Loud weather can make him anxious, and during thunderstorms he’ll want to be as close to his people as possible for comfort and reassurance. A patient, understanding home that can help him feel safe during those moments will be important for his success. Brownie also gets very stressed and reactive around lawn mowers and weed wackers, so a future adopter should use caution with yard equipment. Brownie is a resilient, happy boy who has overcome a difficult start and still greets each day with love and enthusiasm. He deserves a family who will cherish him, laugh at his adorable crooked smile, and give him the security he’s always needed. He has so much love left to give. Screech is a big handsome boy. He makes the craziest sounds in the kennel. That’s where he got his name! He’s got a bum paw. We don’t know if it’s congenital or an old injury. It doesn’t seem to bother him much though. He’s been to the vet and determined that there’s no need for treatment at this time He gets along just fine the way he is!He’s still strong and able to get where he wants to go! He’s playful and active, he just has a little limp.

They get along perfectly with one another, but stitch can be a little iffy with other dogs. They came in very thin, but are now putting weight on and looking very healthy.
