Rocco was dumped in our neighborhood before the holidays and we took him into our home to foster him. He's been a welcome addition to our home and is a big fan of kisses and (whether you want it or not) sitting on you while you're on the couch :) Rocco is a bully breed, so he can be stubborn at times. If he wants pets or scratches, he can pester you. He already knew how to sit, shake, and he's 100% crate trained. He is a bit of a fence guardian, but he'll listen to you if you correct him. The key with bully breeds is persistence and being firm. He might do better with someone who's had experience with the breed or someone who doesn't mind putting their foot down. He does take some time to get used to new surroundings , but he really is a big baby. He's a good guard dog too. He's got a 6th sense about Amazon/USPS delivery persons. He's not much for playing longer than a few minutes, but he does love his rope toy and a nice chew bone. Rocco gets along with our cocker spaniel, but we he might be best to be an only dog if there is another bully-type / alpha dog in the house. Honey is protective and alert, and great with kids, having been raised around them. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, and paw. Her favorite things include chew toys, playing tug, car rides, and long belly rubs. While she does fine being left alone, she loves company. Honey needs to be the only pet in the home as she hasnt been socialized with other animals. Her ideal owner should have experience with bully breeds.

Meet Astrid, a goofy, big-hearted cuddle bug. Astrid’s favorite activities include laying on her back with her legs in the air, napping, and cuddling with her person. She’s mostly lazy but enjoys walks or runs when she’s in the mood. She loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and chasing balls (no fetch, she won’t bring it back). Her motto is eat, sleep, poop, repeat. Astrid would do best as the only pet in a calm home with a private yard. She’s kennel trained, potty trained, non-destructive, and knows sit, down, off, come, kennel, shake, leave it, and even plays dead when you say “bang” She may pull slightly on leash but responds well to guidance. Rescued as a street dog 8 years ago, Astrid is wary of other dogs due to past attacks and should not live with them. She’s up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and needs a healthy diet. Mona came into my life at 6 months old and has been my loyal companion ever since. Now about 7- 8 years old, she’s a loving, playful girl who still runs and cuddles like a puppy but also enjoys sunny afternoon naps. She’s wonderful with gentle children and would thrive best with older kids or a family who understands her need for patience. Mona does have some separation anxiety, which makes this transition hard, but it also shows how deeply she bonds with her people. She once had 10 puppies via C-section — we even shared our first pregnancies together. As I’ve recently had another baby and am moving, I sadly don’t have the money or simply time she deserves. Mona has given me endless joy, she has helped me through hard times, and I hope to find her a caring home where she’ll be cherished as much as she has cherished me.
