Story

Mac is a happy energetic full blooded American Bully w/ ABKC papers. I know his parents. Both XL Bullies, he could be big. He loves to play. Just doesn't know how strong he is. He did nip my son on the nose while playing and drew blood about 3 weeks ago. Nothing serious. My son didn't even notice, I did. I self reported to city animal control and they gave the all clear after 10 days of mandatory quarantine. Mac will be 2 on 11/28/23. I've had him since mid Feb. 2022. He has all his shots up to date and takes flea, tick, and heartworm meds. I have trained him with basic commands like sit, stay, lay, up, shake, etc. I just don't have the time to give him the extra training he needs to be perfect and not so rowdy. I work 30 miles away one way so he spends a lot of time in the Kennel/ Crate. Mac needs a home where he can be out more. He does well with my nieces and son, 5, 8, and 9 years old. Again, he's just too strong when playing. He needs to learn not to jump up, paw at, or nip.

I am Kermit the Dog.I am myriad things, but we will start with the simple, despite as magnificent as I most certainly am. So, I am Kermit the Dog, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance.I was found in a vacant lot outside of Austin by a kind stranger. I could not lift myself, could not walk, was nothing more than a big, ponderously lopsided head atop a skeleton with drum taught skin. The kind fellow took me to Austin Animal Center, where I was bathed and fed, where I met a foster family that were volunteering that day, a foster family who had spent ten minutes that morning in their automobile promising one another that they would not go home with another dog.I am Kermit the rosy-minded promise breaker, the one that makes a beautiful liar of you. On the way to their home I slept with my head on her lap as he drove me to meet my foster brothers and sister. I am Kermit the Picasso.My snout is somewhere between Pyrenees and Pug, I have one half of an ear on the right side of my head, a broken and drooping ear on the left side, and my tail is bent in so many places that when it wags (as it does often, because I am Kermit the Happy) it looks like a question mark fluttering in the wind.I am Kermit the Indefatigable. I try not to think of my life before this, but at some point I was discarded.Which makes me Kermit, the Most Magnificent Trash. I am Kermit the Curious. Where are you going? the bathroom? I will lie by your feet. The bedroom? I will lay my body across your head. Have I also mentioned that I am Kermit the Flatulent? Funny noises come from my body, and will happily share them with you. Are you going outside into the world? I will go with you and we can both bark at the dogs that we do not know and lovingly nuzzle the ones that we do know. Are you at your desk? I, Kermit the Accountant, will do your taxes. Fair warning. we will be audited.I am Kermit of either Chaos or Cuddles.It`s a simple formula. As I have recently discovered what it is to be a puppy I have those moments each day. It is Psycho or Sleep.You can read my soft tan eyes, which go a bit cross to one another, as I decide whether to wreak havoc upon our world or cuddle in your lap. More often the latter rather than the former, but the former will most certainly make you laugh.Because...I am Kermit the Court Jester. Kermit the Clown Prince.

If there was ever a comedian in dog form, Fat Boy would be it! His exuberant, bouncy, happy personality and meaty, jowly face will keep you giggling and smiling all day long. Every time his volunteer friends get Fat Boy out of his kennel for a walk or an outing, he is just SO excited and thrilled to be out and about. All of his campus outings include a break in one of the Real Life Rooms, rooms set up like tiny homes with air conditioning and comforts of a real living space, and Fat Boy absolutely loves his breaks there! He seems to know exactly what to do indoors, and often will immediately lay down and request pets.He does seem to have something wonky going on with his legs/back hips, but this doesn’t slow him down one bit! Recently, two of Fat Boys volunteer friends took him on a fun outing to the creek and he had a chance to show off his swimming skills! He fetched toys and rocks in the water like it was his duty, and he truly had just the absolute best day. Fat Boy is one of those dogs who is just happy to be alive and is just so incredulous and amazed with every new thing. You just cannot help but smile and be amazed at the world too!Fat Boy is house trained, walks well on a leash outside of shelter grounds, and loves car rides and adventures as much as he does lounging around indoors while you watch TV. He is also a volunteer and staff favorite, and he comes with the full support of his best friends at Orange Dot Crew!

One of King`s volunteer friends says, `King is one of the most affectionate and playful dogs I’ve met so far. He loves car rides and will try to lick you throughout but an open window and some toys/treats should be sufficient to distract him. He’s a strong puller on walks. He struggles to understand why everyone doesn’t leave everything at once to play with him. He shows no aggression towards other dogs, kids or adults. In fact, he’s very playful and oh boy he loves toys. He loves scrounging baskets and grabs any toy he can find. He’s such a goofball like that. He loves treats but he loves cuddles more. All in all, such a delight to be with. King makes anybody and everybody who’s around him happy! This ray of light has been in the crate for a month now and doesn’t deserve to be there for another day.`
