He was rescued from California and has rebounded magnificently. He gets along with all the other dogs at the rescue and loves horses. He follows them around the ranch just like the old Texas cowboys used to do. He is current on all his vaccinations and heartworm negative. He is a very gentle dog and great on the leash. We rescued a hydrocephalus boy who had days to live, but, thanks to the unwavering love of his epic foster and a whole pack of amazing doctors (and a bunch of $$ tahnks to our devoted donors), Edwin Evergreen is now a fun, leggy, bouncy boy who is now MIRACULOUSLY ready for his furever family. Edwin is young and fun, so we'd love for him to have his very own dog to romp with He's a typical puppy, so he's working on all his puppy things, so, needs a family willing to be patient while he learns to dogHe's a little bit vision-impaired, so he needs folks willing to meet him on his terms. Chaney is a large, intimidating looking dog, but in reality is a very sweet, if not curious, old man. He originally belonged to my Uncle, but he is out of the picture now, and sadly his current caretaker is being forced out of his home, and has no idea where he is going, so Chaney needs a new home. Sadly no one in our family is willing to take him, and we have no friends that we can trust to do so. He is 12 years old, and seems to have arthritis in his rear, he loves being massaged there. He absolutely loves attention and being scratched and pet. It is a hard decision, but we are looking for someone to give him a good finale to his life, as he is getting to end of it.

Meet Butkus....yep he is definitely not a shar pei. Call it a moment of weakness but seriously how could we let this guy get euthanized over some pretty breed specific medical issues which happen to be right up our alley in the shar pei world. Butkus might be the happiest boy ever. He loves everyone. His tail never stops wagging or what whatever you call that little nub.  Thank God he is cute and sweet because this guy is not the brightest bulb on the tree. So if you are the person who likes your dogs good looking and sweet and not concerned if they never figure out how to sit this is your guy! He loves car rides but so far is not a fan of walking but we are convinced with the help of Bertha he will realize how much he loves it. He is a good sized boy at 58lbs. He was seen by our vet yesterday and like Bertha did have decreased tear production in both eyes. He will need his cherry eyes addressed at time of surgery. Are you wondering what a shar pei rescue is doing with a pair of bulldogs...well so are we! It was a complete moment of weakness. Meet Bertha. This girl is as wide as she is tall but she has started her intermittent fasting, youtube ab videos and twice a day walks. This girl loves to walk so we are excited to see her waist line start to become visible This girl is great with people and other dogs. She did come in with her man Butkus but they do not need to be adopted together but we would love to see her go to a home with another dog. They had their first vet visit and honestly all their medical issues are pretty much identical to the medical problems we see with Shar Pei. Her tear production was reduced so we are going to assume she will need lifetime eye drops to replace that decreased tear production. Her skin was in great shape but did have an ear infection so an adopter that is familiar with weekly ear maintenance. She loves car rides and walks great on a leash. She is very friendly with all the dogs and people she meets on her daily walks.  She is fostering in Phoenix AZDecember 1, 2025, 3:01 pm
