DO NOT tell her that she is NOT a lap dog BonBon loves her food, LOVES a beef cheek, and loves a good nibble-kiss (human corncobs all around). She's okay to nap in her crate, getting the hang of her spa treatments, and is working hard on figuring out this 'indoor dog' thing.BonBon is super clever and such a smoosh; she's a true delight. A willingness to continue to work with his ABR-approved trainer is an absolute bonus.**Silky soft and seal-like, we can't get enough of the gorgeousness that is RamboHe's the ooiest, cartooniest caricature of a dog, and we can not get enough of THAT FACE He's got a tough name because he came from some sh*t, but little guy is all lover and ready for a soft couch, a warm lap, and some cozy snuggle times with his furever family. He's been through it, so he's understandably a little wary of the world and needs a family who understands that he needs compassion and patience to adjust to a new home and new setting. Thanks to the compassion and devotion of his foster family, though, Rambo is finally ready to feel fully trusting of humans. We are seeing him transition into a happier, better-adjusted dog. We understand that he may struggle once he moves into a new adopted home. Change can sometimes do that to dogs who are sensitive like Rambo, so its very important that anyone wanting to adopt Rambo be ready to give him the space, structure, and compassion he needs to thrive. But, once he settles in, watch out; They better have their cuddle pants on Rambo was 100% someone's once; he is potty trained and walks beautifully on a leash. He's okay in a crate and has fantastic house manners. And, even though he's still settling and decompressing, we already know that we were RIGHT to think that this dog is SPECIAL. Foster mama describes him as a perfect companion. He's not barky, or jumpy, or grumpy.He's got a tail wag and a smile for every creature he's met.And, while he may not ever be a wrestle buddy, Huey will happily snooze with pups and will welcome them to join him in his mini low-key foot stomping zoomie sessions. I’ve had the opportunity to receive training beyond the APA! walls and am currently living in the Houston area. I like to think of it as “studying abroad!” I’ve received some one-on-one attention from my trainer friend at Gray Wolf Canine Rehabilitation who has helped me further work through some challenges. Now with some extra coursework, I’m ready to graduate out of the sheltering system and into an adoptive home! And as soon as I find a home, my spot at Gray Wolf gives another dog just like me a chance to broaden their horizons! What I've worked on at GWCR: I grew up in a loving home with a family surrounding me! Through no fault of my own, I landed in the shelter system, and became stuck. Over the last 3 years in the shelter, I developed separation anxiety when left alone and struggled to connect with the dog friends I used to play with. During my time at GWCR, I've become accustomed to spending time in the crate and developed a routine to manage my anxiety, practiced introductions to new dogs, and figured out my favorite enrichments and activities to keep me nurtured. All I need now is a caring home to take me in and keep me out of the shelter system forever! I would prefer a lower traffic home, but can be flexible with more management. I would enjoy living with the right dog friend, provided we get to meet first!

I am energetic when I am first let out of my crate, but settle quickly. I am house trained, crate trained, and leash trained! I enjoy my evening walks and have been learning house rules and manners while settling nicely into daily routines. My foster home does not have kids so a proper introduction would be needed. I happily follow my foster mom around the house and am a world champion snuggler! I am an avid squirrel chaser and would chase them up the tree if I could, so I need to live in a cat free and small animal free home. Because I have a high prey drive with the squirrels, my foster mom doesn't leave me in the backyard unattended.
