Story
Grace is the most gentle soul who is looking for a family to call her own. Grace is an easy-going, affectionate 4-year-old bulldog/shepherd/pit bull mix of sorts. Whatever nickname you want to use: pibble, house hippo, wiggle monster, land seal... She is truly 65 pounds of pure love! Grace will greet anyone she meets with a smile and happy wagging tail - she just LOVES all people, especially kids! Her calm and even-tempered nature makes her the perfect companion for any home. She gets along with other dogs, but she would also be perfectly happy as the only pet since being with her people is her true passion. She enjoys playing with toys, rolling in the grass outside, and taking long snoozes on the couch or bed. Grace will benefit from regular exercise with her family, but she is a fairly low energy dog. Grace is fully house trained and sleeps in her crate all night. But really, she is so trustworthy in the house that a crate is not required. She is the perfect companion for quiet evenings at home, where she will happily curl up for a cuddle. She also knows lots of commands like sit, shake, down, and come. Grace does try to chase squirrels outside, so it's likely she'd do the same with cats. When a fire truck drives by, she will join in sounding the alarm with her own soft and gentle 'awooooooo' which her foster family thinks is pretty freaking adorable. Grace is a genuine snuggle bug, gives the best kisses, and takes treats gently from your hand. Adopt Grace and let her fill your life with unconditional love and companionship.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Grace, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMay 9, 2024, 7:32 am

Story
2 year old American bully her name is shawty. She was born with swimmers syndrome and still requires some help. She learned to walk up the stairs right before she turned 1 so she might not be able to do things like a normal dog would. Loves cuddles and is good with kids. She does need an experienced adopted as she is a special needs dog. She has not been around cats before but has seen other dogs during walls and is very friendly.

Story
Lala Dixie is ready to snuggle her way into your heart! She is uber-friendly and can't wait to make friends with everyone she meets. Lala is playful, sweet, and cuddly – she is actively seeking anyone who likes to snuggle, since it’s her favorite thing to do. She loves to play with her brother (Lalo Dixon) and take lots of naps – classic puppy life. Lala is already showing how smart she is, by doing a perfect sit for treats. She sleeps quietly in her crate all through the night, and is making great progress on her potty training. Puzzle feeders are one of her favorite activities and helps stimulate that developing brain. Playing tug-of-war is also one of her favorite games. Lala and her brother were rescued together, and Lala has a sweet and calm personality that we believe comes from being under her brother’s protection while surviving on their own. The first thing you will notice about Lala is her beautiful shiny black coat that is irresistibly silky soft – you can’t help but pet her! Her markings are striking - we love her white socks (feet) and white chest. She’s got a little white tuft on her chin too – you get a closeup of this every time she comes in for kisses, which this pup loves to give. Lala’s sweet soulful eyes will hook you and you are sure to be rewarded with all her love and affection if you are lucky enough to be her special person. Lala’s personality is cautiously quiet and calm, but she warms up quickly to any attention – she loves to explore just as much as she loves to be snuggled right in your lap. Lala would fit right into a family with other dogs or cats (see her video for the briefest of cat tests), but she would also be perfectly happy to be the star of the show. Lala is currently 21 lbs, 4.5 months old, and we think she may be a Bulldog/Pit Terrier mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Lala Dixie is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
She should be the only pet in the home. She gets along with my male dog but not my other female. She doesn`t like cats or smaller dogs than her. She is good with kids. She is fully crate and house trained. Tends to pull on a leash but that can be easily fixed. This is one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. I am the only Mama she has ever known but being in her kennel a lot so my other female can be out and vice versa isn`t fair to either one of them. Whitney 435-599-2455
