Story
Grace is the most gentle soul who is looking for a family to call her own. Grace is an easy-going, affectionate 4-year-old bulldog/shepherd/pit bull mix of sorts. Whatever nickname you want to use: pibble, house hippo, wiggle monster, land seal... She is truly 65 pounds of pure love! Grace will greet anyone she meets with a smile and happy wagging tail - she just LOVES all people, especially kids! Her calm and even-tempered nature makes her the perfect companion for any home. She gets along with other dogs, but she would also be perfectly happy as the only pet since being with her people is her true passion. She enjoys playing with toys, rolling in the grass outside, and taking long snoozes on the couch or bed. Grace will benefit from regular exercise with her family, but she is a fairly low energy dog. Grace is fully house trained and sleeps in her crate all night. But really, she is so trustworthy in the house that a crate is not required. She is the perfect companion for quiet evenings at home, where she will happily curl up for a cuddle. She also knows lots of commands like sit, shake, down, and come. Grace does try to chase squirrels outside, so it's likely she'd do the same with cats. When a fire truck drives by, she will join in sounding the alarm with her own soft and gentle 'awooooooo' which her foster family thinks is pretty freaking adorable. Grace is a genuine snuggle bug, gives the best kisses, and takes treats gently from your hand. Adopt Grace and let her fill your life with unconditional love and companionship.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
It will only take a few minutes for you to agree that Lalo Dixon is just the bestest boy. This sweet boy is currently 22 lbs, almost 4 months old, and we think he may be a Bulldog/Pit Bull Terrier mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Lalo Dixon is such a friendly, gentle boy. He was rescued with his sister (Lala Dixie) and was her protector when on the streets. Despite his rough start, he treats everyone as a friend and doesn’t seem to have the stranger danger that is normal at this age. Lalo is cautiously inquisitive to his surroundings and wants to explore everything! He will come running right back to you tho, because he is entirely convinced that he is a lapdog whose sole job is deliver kisses and snuggles. The first thing you will notice about Lalo is his super soft shiny black coat and distinctive white markings –such a distinguished gentleman. He has adorable white socks (feet) with one white sleeve, and a gorgeous white chest. And of course you can’t help but notice the cutest white patch on his nose! His eyes are vibrant and soulful – this puppy will capture your heart right away with his expressions and personality. Lalo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, he will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65f88cb7a3a9498aec0b301b Please email Tim@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
Lala Dixie is ready to snuggle her way into your heart! She is uber-friendly and can't wait to make friends with everyone she meets. Lala is playful, sweet, and cuddly – she is actively seeking anyone who likes to snuggle, since it’s her favorite thing to do. She loves to play with her brother (Lalo Dixon) and take lots of naps – classic puppy life. Lala is already showing how smart she is, by doing a perfect sit for treats. She sleeps quietly in her crate all through the night, and is making great progress on her potty training. Puzzle feeders are one of her favorite activities and helps stimulate that developing brain. Playing tug-of-war is also one of her favorite games. Lala and her brother were rescued together, and Lala has a sweet and calm personality that we believe comes from being under her brother’s protection while surviving on their own. The first thing you will notice about Lala is her beautiful shiny black coat that is irresistibly silky soft – you can’t help but pet her! Her markings are striking - we love her white socks (feet) and white chest. She’s got a little white tuft on her chin too – you get a closeup of this every time she comes in for kisses, which this pup loves to give. Lala’s sweet soulful eyes will hook you and you are sure to be rewarded with all her love and affection if you are lucky enough to be her special person. Lala’s personality is cautiously quiet and calm, but she warms up quickly to any attention – she loves to explore just as much as she loves to be snuggled right in your lap. Lala would fit right into a family with other dogs or cats (see her video for the briefest of cat tests), but she would also be perfectly happy to be the star of the show. Lala is currently 21 lbs, 4.5 months old, and we think she may be a Bulldog/Pit Terrier mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! Story
Whip is the sweetest guy around and is looking for his forever home! He is a stunner with a striking face and a beautiful brindle coat. Whip is around 9 months old and was rescued from a rough neighborhood on the reservation. He is very sweet and loves people after a short, initial warm up period- which is usually pretty quick because this boy is food motivated! He is friendly with other dogs and loves to play and wrestle with his friends. He loves soft cozy dog beds and bones and toys to play with. He's doing great on a leash and is learning how much fun it can be to ride in the car. When it's time to eat he gets so excited he will jump in the air and do happy dances. Whip is crate and house trained and is a pro at the dog door in his foster home. Whip will be happiest in a home with a yard to run in and another outgoing and friendly dog that will play with him. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
Sawyer is a “Pocket Bully” born in September 2018 with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and spina bifida. He is currently eating and drinking safely on his own and we don’t believe his cleft lip/palate will require any surgical intervention. Sawyer will always need a little extra supervision to make sure he doesn’t eat anything dangerous for him, and will never be able to safely eat wet or goopy foods like canned food, peanut butter, yogurt, or any other liquids other than water. But otherwise he is expected to live a long, healthy life. The spina bifida causes Sawyer to be incontinent and to have some weakness in his back legs. He can walk and get around very well, but he will be in diapers for the rest of his life. He is a very happy, spunky pup and is friendly with humans and other dogs. He needs a committed home willing to give him the extra care he needs to thrive. Sawyer has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is also micro chipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. Story
This goofy meatball is Peanut Butter (PB to his friends). He is around 3 years old, just under 40 lbs. and came to us from an overcrowded local shelter. He wasn’t doing well in the shelter and needed surgery for a cherry eye and some training in how to be a good dog. BP has been staying with our friends over at B-Hyve K9, who are helping him get some training that he so desperately needs. So far, he’s doing very well with his training classes. PB will need to be an only pet. He is a very sweet boy, but he loves his humans and isn’t really willing to share. PB would do best in a home without a lot of activity and without small children (teenagers and older, please). He’s doing well with his house training, too. To make sure he’s as successful as he can be in his new home B-Hyve K9 has offered 6 lessons to his adoptive parents as a follow-up, to help his new family continue down the positive road he’s on. PB is quite the character and is looking for a quiet home with just one or two people who will give him the love, attention and training he needs to be the best boy he can be. We are looking for a family willing to continue his training with B-Hyve K9 and improve his quality of life. PB has had his cherry eye repaired, has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and he is also microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org). For more information, call/text Maryjo at 801-809-0602 or email maryjokorb@gmail.com.
