I love car rides, running, playing with toys and back scratches! I’m also crate trained, sleep through the night and know basic commands like sit and lie down! Do you like going on long walks? For being such a big fella, he is gentle and calm. He is happy to go walking with the volunteers, happy to meet other dogs, and is quite easily redirected if something sparks his curiosity. He is big and he is strong, so he needs someone who is comfortable with that. He is about two years old so old enough to know the basics and young enough to learn the rules of the road. Fester is smart, sweet and anxious to please. He knows several "tricks" and is happy to show off, then gently takes treats. Attention all Bulldog lovers! This adorable Bulldog named Sweet Tart is in search of her forever home. She may be a bit bossy, but she's also housebroken and crate trained (although she's not a fan of the crate), she is also great for baths and getting her nails trimmed. One thing is she absolutely adores is food - she can't get enough of it! However, she would do best in a home without small children, and if there are other furry friends, she'll need to be fed separately. While she may not fully grasp the concept of playing with other dogs, she loves to snuggle up to them. Sweet Tart is known around the house for her slobbery kisses and will gladly climb onto your lap with her bulky body. With her stubborn and delightfully demanding bulldog personality, she's not afraid to bark and demand her meals when she thinks they're overdue. Her tongue is always hanging out, adding to her irresistibly cute appearance, especially when combined with her adorable underbite. And if that's not enough, she also comes with the bonus of mystery allergies-thanks to some Benadryl it is easily controlled. Dre is a two year old American Bulldog. He is 55 pounds and muscular. I always get comments on what a good looking dog he is. He is playful and friendly. He is up to date on all shots, including a flu shot, and neutered. I acquired him from a previous relationship and the owner can no longer take care of him. Dre loves to sleep, play, chew, and go on car rides. He'll play fetch, play with toys, and is good with other dogs. He is responsive to treats as a reward. I've also used one of those collars that beeps or vibrates and he is also responsive to that. I have a Cavalier King Charles that he is good with. They play, but Dre is careful to not hurt him. I would consider Dre the dominant of the two. He tends to bark and jump when people come in the house as he gets excited. It only lasts for a couple of minutes and then he calms down, but I have not been able to break that habit.

The Furever Project basically saved Melo from the jaws of death as he was getting ready to be euthanized. Melo gets along with other dogs of various sizes. He lives with several dogs in his foster home. He has been introduced to cats and seemed to do well with them. If an applicant has cats, Melo will need to meet them to see if everyone gets along. Melo also does well with children. He lives with a little human who is under 2-years old. Melo is very smart and learns quickly. His foster mom is a trainer and Melo has perfected all the basic commands (sit, down, watch me, leave it, stay, a release command, wait and come). Also, in April 2023, Melo successfully completed a positive reinforcement board and train. At almost 3-years old, Melo is an energetic dog and needs an active vs. a sedentary lifestyle. He would enjoy, and be most successful living with, an active individual or family. He loves being outdoors and would be a great hiking partner, running partner, or a dedicated long distance walking partner. If you’re not a hiker, runner, or long-distance walker……. regular daily walks, playing fetch, chasing a frisbee, or other outdoor activities would also do the trick to successfully lower Melo’s energy. Melo does need a home where he will get strong, consistent direction and follow through. Melo is comfortable and quiet being in a crate and with a simple command “crate” goes in and out with ease and he is completely housebroken.
