Story
10-Year-Old American Eskimo I’m looking for a loving new home for my 10-year-old American Eskimo. He is a sweet, friendly dog and great with kids. He has a gentle personality, enjoys attention, and still has plenty of energy for walks and playtime. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I’m no longer able to keep him, and I want to make sure he goes to a safe, caring home where he’ll be loved. He is house-trained, well-behaved indoors, and loves being around people. He’s also very loyal and enjoys simple routines like relaxing near you, going for short walks, and being brushed. He would be perfect for a family or someone who wants a calm, affectionate companion. I’m hoping to find someone who can give him the comfort, patience, and stability he deserves. Serious, responsible inquiries only—his happiness is my priority. He has always been a loving part of our family, and I truly want to find someone who will appreciate his gentle nature. If you feel you can provide a warm stabl

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Heidi (heidi@eskierescuers.org) for more information about this pet.Our handsome and sweet Buckley is living the life at the R'Eskie Ranch. Buckley came from a local shelter where he was dropped off because his family was moving and could not take him. Buckley is super friendly, fun, smart, housetrained and just an all around good boy! He loves to snuggle, play in the yard and go for walks. Buckley turned 3 years old in October and weighs 26 pounds. He has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date in vaccines, and had a dental cleaning in September. Buckley is wonderful with all the other eskies at the ranch and with visiting dogs (see videos). Buckley is a a gem. If you're interested in meeting Buckley, please contact Heidi@eskierescuers.orgBuckley's Embark DNA results are in: 53% American Eskimo Dog, 18% Chow Chow, 11% Chihauhau, 10% Supermutt, 8% American Pit Bull Terrier = 100% GOOD DOG!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!                                                       November 23, 2025, 8:35 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. Kiba is a lap dog if you let him. He is 10 but has so much life left to live. His favorite place in the world is the mountains. He frequently visits the Blue Ridge Parkway and loves to go in the creek. His favorite spots include the Peaks of Otter lodge and Little Otter River, as well as any lake in the region. He is great on leash, and has a great recall. He used to be a therapy dog and has retained much of his training even into his old age. His ideal home would have a yard, or woods. Maybe even chickens. He has lived on a farm with ducks, chickens and other animals his whole life up until this year. Apartment life is stressing him out a lot. He takes his duties as a livestock and home watchdog seriously and the comings and goings of apartment life stress him out tremendously. He has recently become very anxious in a crate but we credit this to him being left alone more than we would like him to be. He has no preference to men or women. He loves anyone and everyone who will give him attention. He loves squeaky fluffy toys and takes good care of his toys. He loves having his own stuffies and donut shaped pillows. His ideal family would also enjoy spending time in the woods and mountains, and let him visit the creek. He is well mannered and knows all basic commands. We had been monitoring him for thyroid issues as he ages. Following some excessive drinking, we had a check up donw his bloodwork came back fine, but it is something we want to be aware of in the years ahead. The vet said he looks very healthy. He may be due for a deworming. He is sensitive to food changes. Chicken based foods cause him to itch, so we try to find Salmon/Lamb based foods to help him.For more information please contact Adam  Adamrexrode96@gmail.comRehoming fee appliesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 29, 2025, 12:45 pm

Story
Phoebe would make an amazing dog for a pet-free, child-free home. She is great on a leash, house-trained, crate-trained. She does require inexpensive maintenance medication for incontinence due to birth defects that were surgically treated. She has not had any incidents of incontinence since being placed on her medication regimen, so it is well-managed. She is up to date on all vax as well as heartworm/flea/tick. Will provide new owner with all meds and a supply of food. She needs to be rehomed due to her penchant for picking fights with larger dogs in the household and losing those fights.

Story
Sweet, Gentle, & Emotional   My name is Harrison, and I’m a 7-month-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix hoping to find the forever family who can give me the life my heart is ready for. I’m a petite 14 pounds now and will probably end up around 16 pounds as an adult—just the right size to hold close.   I was adopted as a tiny puppy by an elderly woman and her adult daughter who loved me with their whole hearts. But life has changed in ways none of us expected, and they can no longer keep up with my needs. They’ve cared for me the best they could, but walks, training, and outdoor potty routines became too difficult. I’ve been using pee pads inside simply because they had no other option.   They made the brave, loving decision to ask Critter Cavalry Rescue for help, and now I’m hoping for a home with people who are active, gentle, and ready to help me learn. I’m still young and eager—ready for walks, playtime, backyard exploring, and adventures. I ride well in the car and would love to be the little co-pilot who tags along wherever you go.   I’m a good boy with tons of potential—I just need someone who has the time and energy to guide me, love me, and help me grow into the best version of myself.   If you think your family could be that miracle for me, please emailccrnewengland@gmail.comI’m ready for my fresh start, and I can’t wait to shower my new people with love.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 21, 2025, 6:53 pm

Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷 🐾✨ Meet JISU — A Gentle & Sweet Pom Mix Girl Looking for Her Forever Family ✨🐾 🌸 A soft soul who just wants to belong. 🌸 📌 Basic Info 🐶 Name: Jisu (JISU) 🎀 Age: 3 years old 👧 Gender: Female ⚖️ Weight: 4.9 kg 🐾 Breed: Pomeranian Mix 💉 Vaccinations / Spay-Neuter: Completed 💛 Personality & Charm Jisu is shy at first, but she really wants to be close to people. She quietly stays nearby, observes, trusts slowly… and then one day, she melts into your arms and holds on tight. 🥹💞 Calm, gentle, and loving — the perfect companion for a peaceful home. 👨‍👩‍👧 With Adults & Kids 🧑 Adults: Takes time to warm up, but becomes affectionate and loyal once she trusts you 🧒 Kids: Calm and gentle, okay with being next to them or being touched ⚠️ If kids run or shout loudly, she chooses to observe from a distance 🐶 With Other Animals 🐕 Dogs: Excellent! — polite greetings and sometimes playful with her favorite friends 🐱 Cats: Good! — sniffs and ignores 🦜 Lives peacefully with a parrot in her foster home 🚽 House-training ✨ 100% reliable! ✔ Outdoor potty ✔ Indoor pee pads ✔ Balcony turf ➡️ Very easy and stress-free 🔋 Energy Level ⚡ Low ~ Medium 🏡 Quiet and peaceful at home 🐕 At the park, lightly plays with familiar friends or just jogs along with the group 🗣 Separation Anxiety / Barking / Aggression 💛 Separation anxiety: ❌ 🔔 Barking: ❌ (very minimal) 💥 Aggression: ❌ If scared, she may growl or bark once/twice to say “I’m uncomfortable” — never attacks. 🚶‍♀️ Walks & Car Rides 🌳 Loves walking 🪑 If you sit on a bench, she sits right beside you for comfort 🥹 🚗 Excellent in the car — even waits politely before getting in 🏃 Escape Tendency Because she can get startled, double safety (double leash + secure harness) is recommended. In familiar places, even if the leash slips, she stays close and doesn’t run far. ➡️ Once bonded, she wants to stay within her person’s sight ❤️ 🐾 Rescue Story Jisu lived one year at Gokseong Shelter with her sister Subin. On the day they were scheduled for euthanasia, both were rescued together. She was pregnant at the time and later gave birth to three puppies (she is 💗 Pony’s mom). Now, after everything she has survived… it’s finally her turn to be loved. 📍 Jisu is ready for her forever home. She doesn’t need much — just patience, kindness, and a safe heart to land in. 🤍 If you think she may be the missing piece of your family…♡
