Story
Olive is a fiercely loyal companion who bonds deeply with her people. Because of her Shiba/Eskimo heritage, she has a strong guardian instinct. When other dogs are around she is protective of her space, her toys, and her humans. She is best suited as the only dog in the home and needs an experienced owner who understands the spitz breeds. She has lived in a household with cats. She is leash reactive but could be trained to rein it in. She’s loves walks and fancies herself a hunter. Olive is affectionate and interactive. She looks you in the the eye and cocks her head when you speak. She loves tummy rubs and chin rubs. She’s used to having someone around 24/7 though she can spend the occasional 5-6 hours alone, uncrated. Perfectly house trained. We’ve had Olive for two years, though her time with us was supposed to be shorter and temporary. If you are looking for a dog who is independent, smart, and will be your devoted protector, Olive is the one. Adoption fee will be donated.
