I am a self-proclaimed good boy who delights in cuddling and giving kisses. What can I say, I'm a love bug that always wants attention! I'd like to be your cute little shadow and your lap pet. I'll keep you warm on these chilly days! I also like toys, am eager to please and am very smart. As I continue to toot my own horn, know that I'm gentle, goofy and playful. Being a bouncy and active six-year-old boy, I love to go for walks. I'm leash trained and enjoy going for joy rides in the car. While I'll go into my crate for treats, I don't like someone handling me or pushing or grabbing me to crate me. I am almost almost potty trained and do very well when you take me outside regularly -- though, if I'm being being totally honest, I'm not a fan of this cold weather and the white stuff they call snow. I do need a fenced yard, because I have a tendency to chase after things and am surprisingly quick. I don't need a companion animal, because I prefer the company of humans. That being said, I have always been around dogs, so I'd fit in with a pack. While  I like dogs, I like to pester and chase cats, so they might not be the best housemates for me. Along those same lines, little people might not be the best fit. I'm working on staying on all four feet when I greet people, and I could potentially knock down tiny humans. Previously used for breeding, my owner abandoned me at a clinic. My fosters think I am a beautiful and fun guy, and they can't wait for me to thrive in my forever home!  SuperCooper is from Texas and currently weighs 14 lbs. Swifter loves nothing more than lounging outside in the grass, basking in the sunshine, and playing with his furry companions. While he may be a bit timid initially especially around new people, once he warms up, he's all sweetness and love. Swifter's journey began as a stray, but despite his rough start, he was in decent shape and had clearly been taken care of by someone. Unfortunately, no owner came forward to claim him, so he's now looking for a new home here in Minnesota where he can spread his love! In his daily routine, Swifter enjoys his breakfast before heading outside for some fun and games with his foster pals. However, he's not a fan of being kenneled at bedtime—this boy prefers to cuddle up close to his favorite humans instead. I'm learning quickly that I'm surrounded by caring humans, and each day, I'm opening up a bit more. I’m learning so much and starting to come out of my shell. I like having fun with toys, ropes and bones.  I just love playing and also treats.  Every day there seems to be new things to discover and explore. I am showing my people that I am a very smart girl and recently learned the word "sit." I know we will learn so much more together! There are young kids here at my foster home and we have a good time together, too, because they understand my boundaries and are gentle towards me.  Younger kids who are loud and move quickly would not be a match for me.  I do well in my crate and am working on potty training but do well with a good schedule.  We have started practicing leash walking and I am a work in progress. If you promise to keep working with me on leash training, I don't need a fence in my forever home.  I do well with all other dogs (I do prefer the smaller ones) and would benefit from having a confident and social dog in my forever home to help me learn to trust and get on a routine.  Patience is the key as I continue to learn and build trust.
