Story
I got Billy during the pandemic when I had nothing but time to be with him and my kids were still in school. Now they are grown up and I'm back at work full time. Billy loves nothing more than getting rubbed, watching the outdoors from behind the screen door, or crawling under the bed to get cozy.I know the listing says he will need to be neutered, but that is an auto-feature. At this age, it is actually recommended not to do so. Currently, I am looking for the right fit for him. I am in no rush as I am willing to take my time to find him a home with a nice fenced-in yard, no other pets, and someone with a flexible schedule to give him time and attention as he ages. If it seems like a good fit, I will send you an email or shoot you a text. I work M-F from 9-5, so I open to scheduling introduction interviews on the weekends. We can meet at a local park and chat to see if we are in alignment. Thanks!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Heidi (heidi@eskierescuers.org) for more information about this pet.Update: Diva is now walking through the neighborhood on the leash! She is such a smart girl. Also, there have been no seizures. She is a happy, content little girl. Diva starts nosework classes this week (6-week course) to help continue to increase her confidence. We will start working on car rides now that she is leash trained.Beautiful Diva arrived at the ranch several days ago days ago. She was surrendered to ERU due to her owner's health and financial issues. Diva was so scared the first few days here, but is now fully engaged in the home, getting along with all the other eskies (my eskies are wonderful with foster dogs), and having a great time navigating and running in our large fenced in yard. She has never been leash trained so we are patiently and carefully working on that. She had a short seizure when I drove her for her vet appointment so we will keep an eye on that also, to see whether she will need to go on Keppra (anti-epileptic) or not. Diva is available for adoption to the right home - an eskie savvy household with a secure fenced in yard and someone who is willing to continue her leash training. Diva is a lovely and sweet little eskie girl!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs. Story
Nico is a 3 year old neutered male. He was adopted- he was lost and the original owners did not want him back. Had Lyme and ehrichiosis, vet put him on antibiotics. Very friendly, loves walks but very possessive of his toys. We currently give him homemade dog food as we have tried several brands and he doesn't do well on them. His hair and pet dander is causing allergy problems at home.

Story
Kuro is an amazing, extremely intelligent Schipperke/Eskimo mix. This sweet boy is searching for a new forever home through no fault of his own. He's affectionate, devoted to his owner, high energy and playful. He would be the perfect dog for someone doing agility. He is not destructive and is perfectly house trained. He does not seem to have been socialized with other dogs, but gets along fine with the much smaller resident dog. He's starting to accept the resident cat. Both of the breeds in his mix are guard dogs. He will protect you with his life, and he is wary of strangers. Even though we don't have experience with how he interacts with children, I recommend against a home with them because of his guard dog nature. Please be in touch if interested.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Cheryl (lovemy4eskies@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Casper has come back in to rescue after 12 years as his owner is no longer able to care for him.  He seems to like men more than woman however he does spend time with me but he prefers my boyfriend.  He loves to take walks and seems to do pretty good. He is house broke but may have some accidents in the beginning as he is getting used to things and if other dogs in the home and if you're gone too long.  He has a backyard to run around in and has not tried to get out but it's best to make sure your fence is secured if you are going to let him out there unattended.  He tries to play with my senior blind boy (who did not play when he could see) so he would do best I think in a home that has a dog he could play with however a meet and greet would be a good idea if possible.  He does pretty good with children over 10 but he is skittish so not sure how he would do with younger kids.  I am not sure he will ever get over being skittish so it might be best if he was in a quiet home with little chaos.   I also did a DNA test on him and he is as follows:        54% Australian Cattle Dog        42% American Eskimo Dog        2% Chihuahua        1% Border Collie        1% Pomeranian Casper is a special boy and I will be looking for the perfect home for him.  If your interested please email me at lovemy4eskies@gmail.com He is being fostered in Ridgley, MD.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
