Story
MEET JAZZ! I'm such a great, happy dog! I'm a 6-year-old pit-lab mix in need of a foster or forever home. I weigh about 55 lbs. There are so many great things about me. I love human attention and affection. I have a cheerful disposition. And I'm the type of dog who will be your best friend. But I'm just one more black dog that found myself at a high-kill shelter, and it's tough to find my person or people. I will do best as the only dog in the home, but I will give you enough love to make up for that. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
I'M GRAYSON, and I'm a great dog! I'm an unique looking Pittie but am handsome in my own right. I have a bit longer nose and some chubby cheeks and my eyes can sometimes look sad. I'm also quite small for a male Pit, about 45-50 lbs. I'm about 4-5 years old now and keep getting overlooked. I love people and have tested well with some other dogs. About a year ago I was diagnosed with a double hip dysplasia, and I just need to be on meds (or supplements) going forward. (Right now I'm over-the-counter glucosamine and am doing great!) I can be a bit touchy on my back hips now and then, so best to just avoid rubbing me there, especially if I'm sleeping. I am starved for human affection, and I love to go on car rides, walks and other outings. I would do best in a quiet home with a single person or couple. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M TOMMY! I'm a 3-year-old gorgeous blue Pit Bull Terrier in need of a home! I was saved from a shelter and am waiting patiently for someone to choose me! I am a handsome boy who loves his people immensely. I tested well with some dogs, but I would be best in a home as the only dog (we think). I absolutely love to play fetch. I also love to go for walks & hikes; I'm strong on a leash, so would benefit with a strong & muscular owner. My ideal home would be with a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. I weigh about 60 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M ALFIE! I'm a sweet, gentle soul, 6 years old, who found myself at a scary, overcrowded shelter. Now that I've been rescued, I'm so appreciative. While I'm a little shy, I love people, and I love other dogs, too. I weigh only 46 lbs. so am a wonderful size. I'm mellow, easygoing, quiet - and honestly, just the easiest dog to have around. I would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a dog to walk, take naps with, go to the beach now and then, and cuddle. I'm super cute with my pointed ears and pink nose. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
This sweet and delicate young girl will melt your heart the moment you meet her. She has been through a lot but nothing has managed to ruin her affectionate nature and people-loving disposition. She is vigorously cuddly and kissy when you sit down with her and fortunately (she says) she is deaf and can’t hear your pleas for mercy as you try not to open your mouth while you laugh out loud. Besides from that she is only of moderate energy level though it may increase as she grows healthier. Jasmine’s natural body structure makes her look even more worried and pitiful than her past and her feelings warrant but she is actually quite playful and makes hilarious facial expressions. She doesn’t quite seem to know about toys but enjoys exploring new objects and snack on sticks and chews. Jasmine is on a diet to get her to put on weight but it is turning out to be a slow process and she will probably always be on the skinny side. She may have a bit of sighthound in her. Jasmine gets along with other dogs and some cats. She does have some quirky behaviors around other dog when trying to play with them, which is common for deaf dogs since they don’t get the same feedback as normally hearing ones, and dogs that aren’t experienced can get put off by it. She is probably around 8 months old per beginning of November. Her breed is unknown. If you're interested in Jasmine please fill out a pre-adoption application on our website www.northernstardogrescue.org under "contact us" and return it to northernstardogrescue@gmail.com.

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##

Story
This girl is a bundle of joy! Chloe is a true snuggle bunny & loves to get pets. She is good on a leash & sleeps quietly in a kennel at night. She loves to be a part of the family & be in the middle of the action. She's selective about her friends & would be good as an only dog or have a submissive dog as a buddy. We recommend having a meet n greet with other pups she may live with. She is house trained. She is fully vetted, heartworm negative & on preventatives, spayed, & microchipped. She is being fostered in Seguin, TX. All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
WOOF! I'M ALLIE! I'm a 4-year-old sweet and gentle brown brindle and white Boxer mix who needs a foster or forever home! I was the shelter's longest running resident, and was such a good girl there. I have done well with other dogs and in fact, at my current location, I managed to get into a kennel run with a female German Shepherd, as I wanted the company. I would love a home where I can be showered with love and attention, and where I can go for walks or hikes and other outings. I'd do best in a home with an active person, people, or family. Can you foster or adopt me? I weigh about 50 lbs.

Story
Meet Goji, the charming canine companion with a heart as big as her playful spirit. Goji is a true people-lover, her affectionate nature evident in every tail wag and butt wiggle. From the moment you meet her, Goji's warm brown eyes and wagging tail will capture your heart. She thrives on human companionship and adores nothing more than snuggling up for cuddles on the couch or receiving belly rubs while lying on her dog bed. Goji’s love for people is boundless, and she forms deep bonds with those lucky enough to earn her trust. But Goji's love for adventure doesn't end there. She's a lover of the great outdoors, she finds it hard to contain her excitement as she eagerly awaits her daily walks. Goji is always ready to explore new sights and smells, making every outing an unforgettable adventure. After a good walk she is content to lay on her dog bed and chew on a bone. But Goji isn't just all about cuddles and adventures - she's also a playful spirit with a mischievous streak. She loves nothing more than romping around the backyard with her favorite toys or engaging in a game of fetch. And beware of leaving clothes lying around - Goji has a penchant for stealing socks and shirts, turning them into her own personal treasures. Despite her playful nature Goji can be a bit timid around large dogs. Her past experience where she was injured by a large dog (it fractured her leg) has left her feeling anxious in their presence, causing her to become fearful. Last year she bit a large dog on the lip. She had gone on a leashed walk with the dog and had been fine. At the end of the walk while the adults were talking, the large dog was in Goji’s face. The large dog’s owner stated Goji did warn her dog to back off, but unfortunately, he didn’t, and she bit him on the lip. Goji needs an owner that understands her fear of large dogs and will not put her in a situation where she feels the need to defend herself. While she is quite content to go on leash walks where large dogs are present, she does not care for off leash large dogs, or large dogs in her face. Therefore, she would not enjoy off leash dog parks. Goji does well with dogs her size and smaller with proper introductions. Goji isn’t fond of cats. So, if you're searching for a furry friend who will shower you with love, accompany you on endless walks, and fill your days with laughter and joy, look no further than Goji. With her affectionate nature, playful spirit, and unwavering loyalty, she's ready to embark on the greatest adventure of all - finding her forever home with a family who will cherish her for the wonderful dog that she is. Goji is 5 years old, weighs 54lbs, is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to adopt Goji please submit an application to www.takemehomedogrescue.org
