Story
Do you think that you would love being "hugged" by a 55 pound pittie? Do you like having a lap dog? Then S'mores is the dog for you. Hie is a four year old pittle who will be your constant companion. He loves playing outside and catching balls. He does get the "zoomies" but he is also content being a lap dog. He loves his person and will be your best friend forever. He takes a little time to warm up to strangers, but once he knows you, be prepared for some kisses. He loves to cuddle at bedtime and will get on your shoulder and give you a hug. Once he has decided the hug is done, he curls up and is asleep the rest of the night. He can be left alone, but does like moving your shoes. He is potty and crate trained, neutered, vaccinated and chipped. He doesn't do well with cats. He’s available for adoption through Mending Hearts Rescue.

Story
Tucker has a big heart and is a protector at his core. Tucker loves to play...but plays rough! Therefore, we recommend a home without kids or cats. He can be hot and cold with other dogs, so it's probably best he be the solo dog also. Tucker absolutely adores women and would love the opportunity to be her knight in shining armor. If you're looking to give this guy a second chance, he's waiting for you and the chance to love again!Ask about him today

Story
Hello! Slim Jim here, your friendly local PE CESSWI. That stands for Professional Engineer, Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Stormwater Inspector. I'm always on the job, making sure your neighborhood stormwater conveyance structures and systems are in top-notch, working order. It's a very serious job! I have to stop at each drain for a thorough inspection and condition rating.        In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing walks (so I can poop) and a tasty chew. I'm smart guy and already know several commands like sit, shake, and down. I learn new things real quick! I'm a bit of a 'lean-er' too, and am coming around to a good belly rub.        I just busted out of a hard stint at animal control after being picked up as a stray, so my nerves are a bit frazzled. I'm working hard on decompressing and brushing up on my manners. My ideal family would have a secure fence or be committed to only taking me out on a leash with my harness. (I do walk very nicely on the leash, but hold on for my safety!) And teaching me new things to help boost my confidence!        I do not like the little sacks of meow (cats) and right now am not sure about other dogs. Maybe I will change my mind after a good neutering- time will tell.         Now folks, fill out that adoption application form to set up an appointment with me. I even cone with a free private training session to help set me up for success With my new family! And remember, don't dump anything down those stormwater grates- they drain to your local waterways!        Approximate DOB: 2021 Foster Home Location: Madison    If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful dogs, you can apply on our website: https://forms.gle/MGakwmFh92UiK9iM6     Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the dog that interest you. All of our dogs are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect dog!     Our adoption fees:  Adults (up to 7 years): $275 Seniors (8 years and up): $200     All dogs are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies, bordatella and distemper, tested for heartworm and microchipped.December 10, 2023, 3:14 pm

Story
Munches is a sweet and shy young man who's new to this beloved family dog thing. He's still learning how to play with balls and stuffed animals. But he really likes the regular meals part of the deal and even enjoys the snuggles too! Munches can be shy with new people, but once he warms up, he's proven to be very playful and loving. He's very much into cuddling and will sit with you all day if he could. Munches would love a home that's on the chiller side with people who will give him plenty of cuddle time. If that sounds like yours, come meet this handsome boy at the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin today!
