Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tera — Mama of the T Litter and Queen of the Dino Roar! Tera is a 3-year-old Pittie mix with a heart of gold and a voice that could star in Jurassic Bark. When she’s in her kennel, she sounds like a tiny pterodactyl demanding snacks and attention — but the second she’s out, she’s as sweet and gentle as can be. Pure cuddle bug mode activated! Tera is a super energetic, playful girl who brings a ton of joy (and zoomies!) wherever she goes. She loves toys, treats, and anyone ready for a good cuddle once she’s settled. Tera is still learning her manners and will do best with a family with older kids or someone who can provide consistency and structure. When left alone, she does great in her crate—no accidents and she settles in well. Because she’s still working on house training outside of the crate, she does best with three walks a day to avoid indoor accidents. We're practicing calmer greetings and the “sit” command, especially before walks. When she sees you putting on your shoes, she can get mouthy or try to grab items, so patience and continued training will go a long way. Once she’s relaxed, she transforms into the sweetest snuggle buddy who loves to curl up and soak in the affection. Tera is a smart, loving pup with a lot of potential and a lot of heart. With the right adopter—someone patient, active, and consistent—she will make an incredible companion. &#226&#156&#168 Come meet this silly, loving sweetheart and give her the home she’s been dreaming of. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Mello!  An adorable pittie mix, who we estimate to be 1-2 years old. Mello recently came in from transport and has totally stolen the hearts of the volunteers!  Mello is treat and toy motivated, making training a lot easier for this big guy!   Here’s more information about Mello: Walks- Mello loves walks, but needs some practice on how to walk nicely on a leash, however we already see improvements.  Dogs- Mellos doggy neighbor Sweetie and him are quiet and do well next to each other (maybe Mello has a little crush&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143). So we suspect he would do good with dogs, however a proper introduction would be best to tell for sure. Treats- Mello loves treats, but needs some practice on how to take them slowly, he does sit very nicely for them though!  Tricks- Mello knows sit currently, he will do it when asked typically, however needs more consistency on it! Overall, Mello is a sweet clumsy boy who would love a home or foster of his own. With patience, training and dedication, Mello will become the most well mannered boy, as he always wants to please you. If interested in Mello be sure to fill out an application on our website, whether you want to foster or give him a place to call his furever .  apply at projecthopearf.org      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 17, 2026, 9:14 pm

Story
IF INTERESTED PLEASE TEXT OR CALL 630-479-0293 EMAIL: SHELBY.SIEGBAHN40@GMAIL.COM Scarlett is a 3-year-old pitbull mountain Kerr mix. She is a young, energetic, loving, playful dog, and she will love to cuddle with you. Scarlett does need to be the only pet in the house. She cannot be with cats or other dogs. It is unknown how she is with kids. We never had kids in the family Scarlett is a great pet and a very loving companion but unfortunately, she has been having issues with the other pets in the home and that is why we need to rehome her both the cat and the dog who she does not get along with were in the house for years prior to getting Scarlett. Although this is a very heartbreaking decision to make, I know this is what will be best for my baby. I just wish whoever is her next owner gives her all the love in the world and treats her the best they possibly can because she is a great dog and I wish I was able to keep her, b ultimately, this is the best decision for her.

Story
🐶 Cherrybelle 🐶 2-3 yrs old Pittie mix 55lbs Do over! You know when you find yourself in a messy situation and you just really need a reset button? That's where I am! I had a rough beginning without all the love I now know that I deserve. Can you relate? Now, with the help of an amazing rescue team and my foster family I've had some time to work on me and get the care and love I needed. I'm getting my Do Over! I had heartworm, got treatment, beat it! I had cherry-eye, got surgery, no more eye problems! I was very underweight, I've been eating well with extra treats! I now have a strong and healthy body with a beautiful coat. I didn't even know how to doggo! Now I know how to play with toys and run the yard with my doggo friends. I may have even rolled in the mud a couple times heh... not gonna lie, it was messy but fun! I am house broken and crate trained. I don't LOVE my crate but I do well with it. I eat in there so I don't have to worry about the other dogs trying to steal my food and I also stay in there when my people are gone and when it's bedtime. I have a lot of pup brothers and sisters here and sometimes I get territorial and pushy, I've improved my manners a lot since living here though. I love playing with my pup friends but I also love my people! Couch cuddles, playing and a good ear massage, ? it! It's going to be a good life now, I can feel it in my waggy tail! Do you think we could be besties? Come meet me and let's find out! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.*   Are you ready to add a four-legged friend to your family? Look no further than the paw-sitively precious Venus! This shy, 2-year-old pitbull mix is a sweet delight, just waiting to steal your heart. Venus may be a bit cautious around new faces and places, but once she warms up, this girl is a total "tail-wagging" machine! She's a pro on the leash, loves cruising in the car, and is even crate-trained – talk about a well-rounded pup. And with four canine companions already in her pack, she's learning how to control her fears and just be a dog. Venus will need at least a few months to build trust and confidence with her new owner.  She is a dog that needs both mental and physical training and stimulation daily.  A fenced in yard is recommended, and although its not required, we feel another young dog in the house would help her confidence Sure, it may take some time and treats for Venus to fully trust her new humans, but that's all part of the adventure, right? This active girl is looking for a family willing to give her the patience and space she needs to blossom. Just imagine the bond you'll build as you help this shy sweetie come out of her shell. She loves toys and cuddling on her foster parent’s laps at night. She is also a true pitty, as she likes to sunbathe belly side up for hours. So, what are you waiting for? Unleash your heart and consider meeting Venus today! This bundle of furry joy is sure to have you "howling" with happiness in no time. We know her perfect family is out there!   Venus’s adoption fee is $350 and includes her completed wellness visit, microchip and age appropriate vaccinations.     *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**   Meet 1.5 yr old Toby. He is a low rider with a big loveable personality. He spent 18 months in a rural pound after being found as a stray at just about 6 months old. His foster mom saw something special in him and wanted to get this boy ready to live the good life in a home with a family. Toby is housebroken & crate trained. He was found to be heartworm positive the rescue took care  of that and he has completed his treatment. He has been working hard on leash skills and teamed up with his foster mom’s  grand pup to get it done.  Toby can be a little shy when 1st meeting people so we go with a slow approach to introduce him, but then he's a huggable, snuggable love bug. Toby does well with other dogs and we are not sure yet on cats. He does ok with considerate kids that have some dog experience. Toby is a pretty quiet boy that just loves to be with his human companions and be loved. He is motivated by treats and willing to learn all he can and he loves rides in the car.  Toby is hoping to find his family that will help him increase his socialization skills and  give him the love of a family he deserves so much. Are you that family willing to give him that chance he's been dreaming of.   Toby’s adoption fee is $400.00  This includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip and completed vetting.  .   *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications.
