Story
Rocky is completely house trained and keeps a clean kennel here at the shelter. He does excellent with other dogs and is ok with the felines. Rocky does well for baths and car rides. Knows how to sit and takes treats nicely. No food or toy aggression. Rocky was adopted for several months but was returned due to him protecting his home. He doesn't like strangers coming into his yard or home and needs a proper introduction with new people outside of the house first, then inside of the home or even just put away in a different room completely. Rocky's ideal home would be one with a doggie playmate and someone who is dog savvy with larger breeds. With the right work he'd likely eventually do fine in a home. He was very loving towards the people that adopted him and he's had no problems meeting people here at the shelter. It's just once he gets into a home, he will become protective of the area and his people. ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!

Story
One of our longer residents, Oreo, is available for adoption! While she is not a cookie, she is a sweet little gal who is looking for her forever home. She loves to be in the company of people and will follow you around or lay next to you on the couch. She enjoys playing with toys and taking car rides. While she did ok with cats, and played well with other dogs at doggie daycare, she doesn't like sharing a home with other dogs. If you're interested in an affectionate, snuggly companion, apply to adopt! UPDATE: ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED! Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip.

Story
Nova is a VERY sweet pit mix. A major cuddler and a professional butt wiggler. Loves scratches and belly rubs. Enjoys sunbathing when it's nice out. Rolling in the grass is a must for her everytime she goes out lol. She does well for baths and car rides. Good with most other dogs, will even play in the yard with them. She does have a prey drive for smaller animals, so no cats or itty bitty dogs. Great with people and kids! She knows how to sit and will take treats nicely. Nova is a quiet dog with us, but she'll attract attention with her weird little gremlin howls when out in public. She practically throws herself onto people for attention, so if you're sitting on the ground be aware. She had it rough before coming to us. A puppy maker for someone until they didn't need her, then passed to multiple different homes. She has been in foster with us for awhile now where we know that she's house and crate trained. She does need apoquel meds for her allergies. Roughly $100 a month at the vet she's currently with. Her adoption fee is $175. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip.

Story
Very good dog just don’t have the space or time for him. He’s a little selective with other dogs so for that reason he will need someone experienced to help get him over that. He came from a bad situation and we were only supposed to foster him for a few months but now it’s been several and we’ve kinda just been stuck with him now and he deserves someone that truly wants him and will take him places to have fun with him. Does great with my dogs and cats, pays zero attention to the cats.

Story
Hi there, I’m Avivia, a one-year-old pitty with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’m the perfect mix of playful, curious, and smart—kind of like the class clown who also aces all the quizzes! I’ve got a knack for learning new tricks, and I already know how to sit, lay down, shake, give you my paw, and even roll over. Pretty impressive, huh? I’ll even let you know when it’s potty time by heading to the door and grabbing my leash. Clever, right? Now, I’ll admit, I didn’t quite get along with the little kids in my last home. I think I got a bit too excited and didn’t realize my size. It’s something I’m working on, and with some positive reinforcement and a family that understands my energy, I know I can learn to be a little gentler. I’d do best in a home with older kids or adults who can match my playful spirit and give me plenty of opportunities to burn off my energy. Let’s just say, I’m not your couch potato type—I’m more of an adventure buddy. I absolutely love toys—rope toys, stuffies, bones—you name it! Sometimes I get a little attached to my bones and don’t want to give them up, but with the right training and a gentle approach, I’m learning that sharing can be fun, too. I’m also crate-trained, which means I’ve got a cozy spot to call my own when I need to chill out. Walks are one of my favorite things, and I can’t wait to explore the world with you. I’m curious about everything, and my inquisitive nature means there’s never a dull moment when I’m around. I’m still fine-tuning my leash manners, but with some patience and encouragement, I’ll have it down in no time. If you’re looking for a smart, playful, and loving pup who’s ready to learn and grow with you, then I might just be your girl. Let’s meet and see if we’re a perfect match—I promise to bring a lot of fun and love into your life!

Story
Meet Morticia! As sweet as she is cute, Morticia is a bundle of energy and fun. She's *always* ready to be the life of the party and keep you laughing! Already have an energetic pup at home who wants you to endlessly throw their toys? Morticia could be the answer! She does great with others and has made a lot of friends (of both the human and doggo variety) during her time at the shelter. Despite being such a sweet girl, Morticia hasn't found her forever people just yet. She will need a home that enjoys providing routine exercise and mental stimulation, but don't worry - The zoomies are sure to be followed by cozy couch snuggles! If you'd like to learn more about Morticia, call or stop by the shelter. She can't wait to meet you!
