Story
Meet Sonnie!  He is senior guy at just over 8 years old, weighs in at 73# and is an American Pitbull Terrier mix.   Sonnie came to us after a change in his owners life circumstance. He was a very loved guy and it shows! Sonnie is gentle and loving!   He suffers from seasonal/food allergies and benefits greatly from having bi-monthly Cytopoint injections to keep them under control. Sonnie cannot have chicken/turkey based dog foods, as it causes him digestive upset, ear infections and skin issues! (He is not a fan of taking pills, so the easiest thing for him is an injection every 8 weeks!)   Sonnie would benefit greatly from losing some weight, as his current weight is too much for his frame. He enjoys going on walks and spending time outside, which will be beneficial to helping Sonnie shed that extra weight he's carrying around!   Sonnie will make a great addition to any family, as he loves everyone! Sonnie does good with other dogs as long as proper introductions are made. He loves children!!   Sonnie thinks its great fun to chase kitties, so probably best there are not any in his new home.   Sonnie was recommended to get a dental cleaning within a year. We have a lower cost option vet to refer you to, if you are local!   Neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. His adoption fee has been sponsored in memory of Tanner Virgil.   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Any other dogs in the home must come in for a meet & greet! We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    Closed Sunday/Thursday    11-4 Saturday/Monday   11-5 Tuesday/Friday    11-6 Wednesday ##2349418##

Story
Meet Zoe! Zoe is about 5 years old, weighs in a 53# and is an American Pitbull Terrier mix.   She was brought in to us after being left behind where her previous family use to live. Zoe's world has been turned upside down and she's seeking a new place to call home!  We are unsure of her past, since a proper surrender wasn't done to help us get to know her a bit better.  This is what we know right now! Zoe is a social & loving girl! She seems a bit dog selective, but has not yet been introduced one on one with other dogs here at FCAC yet. It is really hectic here right now and it's stressing out poor Zoe. We did introduce her to our office kitties and she was fixated on them and wanted to chase them. So no kitties in her new home.  Zoe will likely be good with kids as her demeanor is gentle and sweet. Zoe came in with flea dermatitis and is missing some hair on her back. We got rid of those pesky little things and she is eating a better diet! Her beautiful red coat will be grown back in no time!   She did test positive for Lyme Disease and we treated her with a round of antibiotics here. Zoe should also receive a yearly Lyme Vaccine and be kept on monthly tick prevention, year round.   Spayed, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Her adoption fee has been sponsored in memory of Tanner Vigil. Are you looking for your very own Canine House Hippo?!   Look no further! We have him right here at FCAC! Being in a kennel is stressing him out!!  Snorer?! Snuggler?! Stealer of the blankets?! Couch potato?!  He is a handsome, squishy faced boy!! Meet Loki! 2.5 years old | 73 lbs | American Bully/Pitbull Mix Loki is a loyal, block-headed sweetheart who has stolen the hearts of everyone here at FCAC! He abolutely adores women and children. Gentle, affectionate, and full of personality, Loki bonds deeply with the people he trusts. He came to us from a domestic abuse situation, where he bravely protected his mom. Now he carries that same protector heart for women and children, and is very cautious around men.  He's looking for a women-led household or a with a patient and respectful man is willing to earn his trust. Loki prefers to be the one and only pet. he's not a fan of other animals in his space, and we recommend he be the solo star of his new home. This handsome hunk needs to slim down to around 60 lbs for his health. But don't worry, he's up for the challenge with the right mix of exercise, playtime, and portion control.  Loki does best on a salmon-based diet, as poultry (chicken/turkey) upsets his tummy. Despite his rough past, Loki is a gentle soul who is looking for a peaceful place to retire from stress and be someone's loyal best friend.   Neutered, heartworm  negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is SPONSORED for an approved adopter.   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application in person or here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet & greet! Story
Hi, I'm Chase- a two-year-old, 75# American Pit Bull Terrier/Husky mix with muscles for days and a heart just as big! I came to the shelter after my previous owner couldn't care for me anymore, but don't worry, I haven't let that dull my shine. I'm a happy-go-lucky, spunky guy who loves people, playtime, and toys (okay, some of them don't survive my shredding skills, and I like to eat socks).   I'm potty trained and grew up around kids, so I'm pretty used to he hustle and bustle of family life. I am a big, beefy boy who forgets I'm not a lap dog, but with a little guidance and consistency, I'll be a perfect addition to an active family!   Food? Yes please! I'm highly food motivated and tend to inhale my meals, so I would do best with supervised, separated feeding, just to make sure I don't get protective over my food/treats. I haven't met any dogs up close here yet, but I've been a good boy in my kennel and don't bark or lunge at others. The staff says they'll update you as soon as they know how I do. I lived with cats in my previous home but I'd do best in a home without them.  If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and lovable hunk to add to your crew.. I might just be your guy!   Neutered, microchipped, heartworm & lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adopt fee is $100.  If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet!
