Story
Hi, my name is Fell! Dad has had me since I was about 6 weeks old, I turn 6 in October! We’ve been together through a LOT, but we’ve always been together🙂 Lately though, Moms belly has been growing, and there have been a lot of changes around the house, and Dad hasn’t been home as much😕 so when Dad isn’t home, I play with my tennis balls, and cuddle up with the kitties that have grown up with me. I really like naps but I love going for walks too! I love Cats! But I don’t really get along well with other dogs… I used to! But the older I’ve gotten, the more I get agitated around other dogs.. I know that makes it harder to get around in public, but I’m great at home. I love my Dads friends, they were patient getting to know me, and didn’t just rush up to pet me, that freaks me out😳 I just need proper introduction on my harness and time to get comfortable with them. I’ve never really spent much time around children so I don’t know what that would be like, but I love playing fetch!

Story
Meet Rocco, a one-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix who is a bundle of high-energy. Weighing in at 67lbs pounds of pure affection! Rocco is the definition of a companion. He has a gentle heart, always ready to give kisses and receive belly rubs! Though Rocco has been around other dogs, he would be most comfortable as the only dog in the home. He’s been selective with his doggy friends, preferring a bit of space, but his experience with another pup was peaceful, even sharing water and enjoying walks side by side. He loves running, tug of war, and his big squeaky pig toy. His enthusiasm for life shines through in everything he does! Rocco could use a bit of leash training but he’s a quick learner! Rocco is crate trained, house-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Rocco will need a family that’s committed to training and providing him with an active lifestyle.

Story
Meet Razzle Dazzle! We believe this cutie is about 2 years old. He is about 70 pounds. He is such a sweet boy and is a staff favorite here at Mapleview and the rescue! Everyone loves to be greeted by him in the morning and say goodbye to him when they leave for the day.   Razzle loves all people! He has done well with other large dogs he has met. We have not yet introduced him to small dogs. He does need a cat free home. He likes to play and has a lot of energy! Razz needs some training with basic obedience and leash training (he has quite a prey drive) but he is eager to please and smart, so just needs someone with time to commit to him.   We have discovered that Razzle has some allergies which is not surprising with his beautiful white coat and his breed. He came to us with some very sore and torn up paw pads and wounds on his legs. He does better with apoquel, which is an expensive allergy medication. We are currently trying a hypoallergenic prescription diet with him to see how it manages his allergies as a more cost effective option longterm. But, he is worth it! He is such a good boy and deserves to be comfortable!   An approved adoption application is required. The $250 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm and tick disease testing; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.November 13, 2024, 9:37 am

Story
Meet Echo, a one-year-old pitty mix we rescued about five months ago. He is truly the best dog you could ask for—gentle, affectionate, and full of love. Echo’s favorite thing in the world is playing fetch, and he’s amazing at it! He also adores giving hugs and being close to his people. He’s fantastic with kids and other dogs, always calm and kind. Echo is up to date on all his shots and vaccines, with vet records available. While we absolutely adore him, our busy lifestyle makes it hard to give him the attention he deserves. We want to find him a loving home where he’ll be cherished as much as he deserves. A small rehoming fee will be requested to ensure he goes to a responsible and caring family.
