Story
This mama has raised her pups and is now ready to be loved. She is good with other dogs upon proper introductions and loves humans of all ages. She’s a pretty lazy gal who enjoys laying on the couch going for walks and eating. (She is on a diet) she enjoyed the puppy food a little too much! She would make a great addition to any human who wants a laid back companion. Warning: she loves to give kisses 😘

Story
Mavis is a 3 and a half year old 65 pound mix of snuggles and spunk. She has never met a human she didn't love and does AMAZING with kids. Mavis loves to go for walks, lay in the sun, and keep watch out her window but her FAVORITE thing is snuggling on the couch or in bed with her humans. This little pumpkin is so smart and would thrive as the center of your universe and as the only large dog in the home, she loves her small dog friends. She would prefer a family where someone is home more often than not and would love to take some classes with her forever family too! Mavis is spayed, microchipped, and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $250 and you can apply at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt/ ##806015##

Story
This is an extremely hard decision to make for my husband and I, We have no children at home or family in the area. We both have busy work schedule and work long days. We don't have a fenced in yard. Harley needs the attention she deserves. She needs a home with a fenced in yard and a family that will give her lots of love. Harley is definitely one of a kind! She is registered with The American Bully Kennel Club, we adopted her at 8 weeks. Friendly, loveable and her most favorite thing to do is cuddle. She is really a sweet girl, loves her playtime and play with her friends at daycare. She knows basic commands like no, down, sit, shake and stay. She is house broken and crate trained. She does sleep with us but she has slept in her crate as well. At 5 month she broke her back left paw. She was in a cast for 2 months. She healed well from that. She does get seasonal allergies Zyrtec or Claritin work the best. Occasionally gets hot spots on her paws, which we soak them in Epsom Salt.

Story
Sampson is a giant lover boy. He loves to sleep, snuggle and hug your shoulder. His favorite choice of toy would be a good ol plastic bottle, or a plush toy, although he destroys those within minutes. He is a very lazy dog and does not require much. He does well on walks, but refuses to chase a ball. He does well with other dogs and older children (age 10+). He does not do well with cats or squirrels. As of late, Sampson has lost interest in a lot of activities and his health deteriorated a bit. Our family has had him since he was 6 weeks old and we unfortunately do not have the time for what he desperately deserves. Although healthy as a horse, per his vet, I believe Sampson is slowly creeping in to a depression due to the nature of our life currently. We are expecting a newborn within the next 6 weeks and unfortunately our time with him will decrease even more.

Story
Meet Razzle Dazzle! We believe this cutie is about 2 years old. He is about 70 pounds. He is such a sweet boy and is a staff favorite here at Mapleview and the rescue! Everyone loves to be greeted by him in the morning and say goodbye to him when they leave for the day.   Razzle loves all people! He has done well with other large dogs he has met. We have not yet introduced him to small dogs. He does need a cat free home. He likes to play and has a lot of energy! Razz needs some training with basic obedience and leash training (he has quite a prey drive) but he is eager to please and smart, so just needs someone with time to commit to him.   We have discovered that Razzle has some allergies which is not surprising with his beautiful white coat and his breed. He came to us with some very sore and torn up paw pads and wounds on his legs. He does better with apoquel, which is an expensive allergy medication. We are currently trying a hypoallergenic prescription diet with him to see how it manages his allergies as a more cost effective option longterm. But, he is worth it! He is such a good boy and deserves to be comfortable!   An approved adoption application is required. The $300 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; dental teeth cleaning (if needed prior to adoption); vaccinations; heartworm and tick disease testing; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.July 18, 2024, 2:12 pm

Story
HAULT! If you are looking for a hug-a-bull, kiss-a-bull, irrisist-a-bull, and totally adopt-a-bull guy, I am the guy for you! You might be wondering where I get a name such as Clovis (meaning renowned fighter); well when I was found I had some pretty bad injuries and was severely emaciated (for real I was basically a skeleton with skin and fur). Thank goodness MAS was able to take me in and nurse me back to health. It was pretty touch-and-go for a while, and I almost didn't make it...but with the help of MAS, we fought for my life and overcame the odds. Though I am "out of the woods" as they say, some TLC is still needed (and wanted,...I want all your cuddles!). Despite having such a traumatic past, I am such a baby dog. I LOVE people of all ages, I am such a happy boy, which just goes to show how resilient and positive I really am (except with cats...I am positive I am not a fan of those things). I have done well meeting some of the other dogs at MAS as well. I am just so ready to find a place that I am welcomed as part of a family, and feel safe that I will never have to go through anything like my past again. I have all the love in the world to give, if only I am given a chance. If you would like to give Clovis a chance, submit your adoption application to start the process! DOB: 6/13/2018 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
"Already know you that which you need" - Yoda (the wise little green master from Star Wars) The one that you need is definitely me. I am more of a young padawon Yoda, in training to be your best friend! Even though I don’t hear much of anything, love and play are universal languages that we can figure out together! You could say I am a very social guy, I have met some other dogs and cats at MAS and have done awesome. I can get a little rambunctious though, so I would probably be best in a home without kids. Not every dog appreciates my hardcore play style either, but I have made several doggy friends hanging out at MAS. I am ready, willing, and able to use the force to take on adventures and overcome the evils of your stressful day! I can be an absolute goofball when I am outside playing (I love to be outdoors romping around in the yard). But I also love to get attention and curl up afterwards, maybe we can movie marathon with the best movies of all time…you guessed it, Star Wars! If Star Wars isn’t your thing though (we will agree to disagree), I am happy to hang out with you anyways and soak up your affection while you watch whatever else. "No greater gift there is, than a generous heart" - Yoda An adoption application you must fill out today! DOB: 5/1/2021 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
