Tess here, I am a bit on the shy side and take a while to warm up but I am so sweet once I know you are a friend. I LOVE other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog to play with and show me all the dog things. I am quiet, do great in my kennel and love the outdoors.

Story
Meet Tyson — affectionately known as Chicken Nugget or just Nuggie. 🍗💛 Tyson’s story starts on the streets of Oklahoma, where he was found as a stray by an unhoused man who showed him incredible kindness. He made sure Tyson was safe and cared for, and reached out to one of our trusted rescue partners in Tulsa to help this little guy find a better future. Because of that compassion, Tyson is now safe, loved, and ready for his forever home. True to his nickname, Chicken Nugget, Tyson is a perfectly bite-sized bundle of joy — happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and always ready for snuggles. He absolutely adores playing with his puppy foster siblings and is happiest when he’s part of the action or curled up close to his people. Tyson is working diligently on both crate and potty training and continues to make great progress with consistency and routine. He’s a loving, sweet-natured puppy who will thrive in a home ready to guide him as he grows and learns. If you’re looking for a cuddly, playful, heart-melting little Nuggie to add to your family, Tyson is ready to come home. 🐾💛 Tyson’s adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website.

Meet Enzo! 🐾 Enzo is a big goofball with a heart of gold. He loves cuddling on the couch, chewing on a good bone, and taking long, cozy naps. While he enjoys playing with other dogs, Enzo is just as happy entertaining himself and relaxing nearby. Enzo is great about going into his kennel when asked. He’ll give you a little chirp if he feels ignored — and if that doesn’t work, he’s not shy about using his loud, deep bark to make sure you notice him! 😄 He’s a fun, affectionate boy ready to bring joy and personality to his forever home. 💙

Story
Meet Isabel — the sweetest little fighter with a heart bigger than her wheels! Isabel is a 2-year-old rescue pup whose spirit shines brighter than the challenges she faces. She has hind-leg paralysis and is incontinent, but she doesn’t let that slow her down for a second. With her joyful personality and her “live life to the fullest” attitude, Isabel wins hearts everywhere she goes. This gentle girl is wonderful with cats, kids, and other dogs, making her an easy fit for all kinds of families. She adores toys, loves being included, and greets each day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. Isabel is currently working on rehab with her dedicated foster, building up her core strength and confidence. While she will likely never walk unassisted, the goal is to get her moving around efficiently in her wheelchair, so she’s always ready for fun, cuddles, and adventure. If you’re looking for a loving, resilient companion who will remind you daily how beautiful life can be, Isabel is ready to fill your home with joy, courage, and endless affection.

Story
Piper is the kind of dog rescue people never forget — because she’s a survivor and a sweetheart. This beautiful mama and her 10 puppies landed on the euthanasia list after being found alone, starving, sick, and abandoned when their owner passed away. Piper fought fiercely for every single one of her babies… but heartbreakingly, 5 of her pups didn’t survive after arriving at the shelter. Even through grief and exhaustion, Piper kept going — giving everything she had to the remaining 5, arriving skin and bones from pouring her body into motherhood. Now? Piper is finally getting what she’s always deserved: stability, safety, full meals, and a soft place to land. Piper is gentle, loving, and completely devoted to her people. She isn’t an “independent, do-your-own-thing” type of dog — she’s more of a Velcro bestie who wants to be near you, see you, and love you with her whole heart. She thrives on affection and reassurance, and she’ll be the kind of dog who makes you feel like the center of her world. ✅ Dog friendly (loves playing and chasing with dog friends!) ✅ Kid friendly ✅ Sleeps in her kennel at night and does well with routine ✅ Food-motivated and treat obsessed (training potential = HUGE!) Because Piper is so bonded to her humans, she can be anxious when she can’t see you — including in the car. Piper will do best with a home that can continue building her confidence and provide safe travel management (crate/seatbelt setup, calming routine, etc.). Piper survived for her babies. Now she deserves someone who will fight for her. 💗 Her adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations appropriate at the time of adoption, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. Story
Hera is a gorgeous, one-year-old pit mix with a sweet and gentle soul. She was recently sprung from the shelter, where she'd been since March, and is currently learning how to be a dog in a home. Since she's still decompressing, her true personality is just beginning to shine, and she's ready to find a forever family who will help her blossom. This beautiful girl is all about finding a balance between play and snuggles. She loves to run and play outside and is learning to have an off switch inside when everyone is relaxing. She's a pro at crate training, is reliably housebroken when taken out regularly, and is a calm presence in the home—she rarely barks and isn't a jumper. She loves to curl up for a good snuggle and is also ready for an adventure. While Hera has shown no aggression, she prefers to have her own toys and sticks and would do best in a home with another dog who can handle sharing their toy box. She's been around dog-savvy young teenagers and has done great, but she hasn't been introduced to young kids or cats. Hera is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, and ready to go home! If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion to help build confidence and who will fill your life with joy and playful energy, Hera is the one for you. Hera's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue’s care. We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are.
