Looking to add a fun-loving, rambunctious young lady to your life? Jaycee may be the perfect pick, she's on the journey of finding her own forever family to grow with! Jaycee is an adolescent, roughly 60lb Pitbull mix lady who came to us as a stray in rough shape from obvious neglect and abuse. But now that she's put some weight on and feeling better, she's ready to start the next chapter of her life with you. Given her background, she can be a little shy of new human friends, but once she's had a chance to build some trust she is a goofy, playful and curious girl. She just needs some people willing to go at her pace while helping her learn all about the good stuff. She'd love attending a formal obedience class once she's settled. She is VERY food motivated and eager to learn, she's been working on her leash skills and well as some basic tricks! When she isn't picking up quick on all the different food toys and awesome chew bones, she enjoys playtimes in the yard and sunbathing once she's done her zoomies. Jaycee may not mind having a similar sized, confident but easy-going male canine friend to learn from and romp and play with. Being a mature lady, it'll take the right match of personalities and tolerance as well as multiple meets to see if everybody gets along. But she also wouldn't mind being your one and only to get all the attention. She really loves watching keenly to all the small critter activity, so would be best with no kitty or small animal friends.

Mike is a 7 year old pit/ German shepherd mix. He has gotten along well in the past with another family pet, but since has started not to. There have been 2 fights between both dogs. He has done well with other dogs in the past. Possibly dog selective. He has been separated for some time now and his quality of life would drastically improve in a new home. Other dogs aren’t off the table - would just need a very slow and well done introduction to try it out. He is a great dog, listens well, very energetic so would make a perfect running/hiking partner. Well mannered and deserves a real chance at a good life.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kingston has been with us since May 2020. He is my big sweet good boy &#226&#157&#164 He is around 85 pounds and a big goof! He, like alot of our dogs came to us in awful shape. We are not sure what his life before rescue was like but I feel certain based on his condition it was pretty bad. He is timid in New places with new people BUT he warms up and he is sooo good! He is kennel and house trained and has always done well with new dogs coming and going at our house. I do believe he would do best with a female dog and definitely not a dominate dog. He is going on 4 years old now- heartworm negative and current on prevention, neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. He would do best in a home that isnt real busy as he is unsure of new people. He has NEVER shown any sign of aggression but he is fearful in new situations. He will need his people to be patient and give him time to settle in. He truly deserves a family of his own who will love him forever. He is a cuddler and will lay in bed and watch movies all day, or load up in the car for a ride, he also loves toys. At one time he was scared of toys and didnt even know how to play He is such a good boy. Kingston is in a foster home here in Shreveport, LA. We adopt often to the Northeast. Easily trainable and eager to please, he has mastered some commands: sit, paw, touch, down, stay, and is AWESOME on recall.  Nil es would enjoy an older or calm and laid-back female dog companion, as he prefers the ladies, but would  also be happy as an only pet.   Niles gets very excited when he sees cats and small animals so he will need some supervision with learning the art of restraint. Seymour has a strong personality and is as quick to play as he is to lay down. He is loving and loves to cuddle and play fetch. He is very loyal with leads him to be defensive and also reactive. He considered scooters and skateboards as threats and will bark and lunge at them. He is okay with other dogs as long as they are not in his personal space because he has been attack when he was younger. He is leash trained, knows commands such as wait , leave it , sit , spin , lay down , and this way (follow me ). She is an absolute cuddle bug of a dog who will be excited to see you when you get home, want to sit in your lap and watch tv, will lay by your legs as you sleep and will genuinely just want to be around you. She still has some of that puppy exuberance and will be happy to chew nyla bones or rubber balls for hours with you then get wrapped up in a blanket and nap. She's such a wonderful and well-behaved dog in almost all things, she just doesn't feel comfortable around other dogs and has a tendency to lash out at them. She has never shown any aggression towards people, of any ages, and has been around children from baby to teenage without issue, though she isn't super aware of her own strength so she might knock people over if you let her jump up. She has been around small rodents and such and causes no trouble but has no experience with cats.
