Story
Meet a sweet, loyal boy who just wants to be close to his people. He takes Apoquel and ketoconazole daily for skin allergies and knows basic commands. He’s great with children and has a calm side — he’s happy to relax on the couch under a blanket just as much as he’s happy to play. He came from an abusive situation in Georgia, so he can be nervous around new people, especially men, and he does have some separation anxiety. Because of this, he would do best in a patient, loving home with a yard and someone who’s home often. He absolutely loves attention, chewing on toys, and being part of the family. Once he trusts you, he’ll be your biggest fan and most loyal companion.

Story
Mufasa (aka Mumu) is a gentle soul looking for a special family. He takes some time to warm up to new people, but once he realizes he's safe he shows you a spirited personality that's sure to bring a smile to your face. Mumu enjoys being outdoors, practicing skills during a training session but most of all, he loves being around his people! Mufasa's ideal home would be one where his people aren't gone most of the day, but he is crate trained and is okay if left alone for a few hours. He has previously lived with another calm dog in the home and did well! Mufasa can be apprehensive when it comes to meeting new dogs and tends to be selective about what friends he is willing to make, so proper slow introductions will set him up for success. If you're looking to add a big softy to your cozy home, come say 'hi' to Mufasa!

Story
Amber is a lovely older lady looking for a calm, quiet home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by comfort, and a person or family who appreciates the simple joy of a loyal companion. Amber does well with kids, especially those who understand how to be gentle and respectful with an older dog. She may also be able to coexist with another low-key dog or a cat who isn’t bothered by her presence. Slow, patient introductions will be key to helping everyone feel at ease. Of course, Amber would also be perfectly happy as the only pet, soaking up all the affection and attention for herself. She can be a little shy with new people at first, but once she decides you’re part of her circle, she’s yours for life. If you have a peaceful home and a spot on the couch for a sweet senior, Amber is ready to spend her retirement by your side.

Story
Molly is a spayed female pit bull, 2-years-old, and about 55 lbs. Wisdom panel DNA results: 57% American Pit Bull Terrier, 39% American Staffordshire Terrier, 2% Bulldog, 1% Boston Terrier, 1% American Bulldog. She's all muscle, has kind of short legs, a big head, and a big heart. 😋 Molly was an owner surrender from CT. Her owners adore her but despite a lot of training and effort, she wasn’t getting along with the older dog in her home. Molly has some BIG feelings about other dogs, and has a high prey drive, so needs to be the only pet in the home. No dogs, cats, or small animals. She’s still working on her reactivity and she is muzzle trained. Molly is very friendly and good with people, including strangers and the vet, is tolerant of handling, isn’t destructive, is crate trained, and 100% potty trained! 👏 She is tolerant of grooming wipes and baths, and with a peanut butter lick mat, is fine for nail clipping. She received professional training before coming into our rescue and knows several cues like sit, down, stay, place, drop it, heel, kennel, wait, leave it, here, etc. She'a also completed several classes of a Reactive Rovers training class. She has not shown any signs of resource guarding toys or treats with us. This girl is super athletic!! Muscular, fast, agile, confident, not afraid to get muddy, and very treat and toy driven. She would love a big, private, fenced-in yard to hang out with you in, run, play, and maybe even a chance to learn more skills on agility equipment. 😊 I think she would be a great candidate for dog sports (like wall climb!) at private training facilities (her reactivity would prevent her from going to crowded official events/competitions right now). Molly’s looking for an experienced adopter who can continue working on her dog reactivity, and provide a stable routine for her. She thrives on routine, and her reactivity improves with routine. Her ideal home would be in a quieter area with not many dogs being walked by the home. And huge bonus if you have land with areas to walk her on (on leash). Molly requires a home visit as part of her adoption requirements, as we want to make extra sure that she's being set up for success in her new home. She'll go home with a large Ruffland kennel, kennel pad, raised cot (her "place"), fluffy bed, muzzle, collar, leash, harness, tons of toys, slow feeder dish, and more! Thanks to Petfinder Foundation's Kia Pet Adoption Grant, Molly’s adoption fee is fully sponsored! 🎉 If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email us at info@jezziesplace.com.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Niles had a tough start to life, but with patience and understanding he has come a long way. Niles is eager to train because he wants to please, and is super smart! He does get very excited when people come in the house. We have been working w/ tethers, his crate, or going out at these times, as soon as the person comes in, we allow him to approach, and he’s all mush — he hasn’t met a person he doesn’t like.  Kitties and small animals are a hard NO.. he loves the companionship of female dogs, especially older low-key gals, but can keep up w/ the best of them! He does like lower energy, submissive, smaller boys. No giant breeds, my big rottie boys are too scary for him. Niles is extremely fun, athletic, and active, but is a total love bug and snuggler.  Know that we trained, loved and took a lot of time w/ Niles and we are going to miss this crazy, silly, lovey, cuddly, smart boy, but we want Niles to find his very own happily ever after. He deserves it . He has worked very hard to become the extra special boy he is.  Apply today!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html March 7, 2026, 1:10 pm
