Akari lived with her family from the time she was a young puppy. Unfortunately, due to health issues, her family was unable to properly care for her and made the difficult decision to surrender her. Akari is confused and stressed, but that hasn’t stopped her from being super sweet and affectionate to all of our volunteers. She is truly a love bug. Give her some belly rubs and she will melt in your arms! Akari is playful, engaging and has the energy level you would expect from a young dog. Jasmine is super friendly, affectionate, and ready to make new human friends! Jasmine spent some time in a foster home, and she was a wonderful house guest. She is housebroken, crate-trained, and well-mannered in the home. She also knows basic commands. Jasmine loves going on walks, playing fetch and is a big fan of chew toys- squeaky ones are her favorite! After a walk or a quick romp in the yard, Jasmine is content spending her time lounging around with her family. Jasmine also loves car rides and going on adventures of any kind! Our volunteers have taken her to many parks, restaurants and adoption events and she is always well behvaed. Around 3 years old, this confident and charismatic girl came to us after being surrendered to a North Jersey shelter. Despite a difficult start, Roxy has proven to be resilient, joyful, and full of love—and we truly can’t understand why she’s still waiting. Roxy is one of our longest residents, and it’s time her story changes. She is a large, strong girl with a moderate energy level and a wonderful balance of playfulness and affection. Roxy loves running in the yard, playing fetch, and enjoying life, but she’s equally content curling up with her people once the fun is done. She forms deep, meaningful bonds and is incredibly loving and loyal to those she trusts—once she chooses you, you are her person.
