Story
Athena was born February of 2018 and I had her since until I moved to Tennessee and she currently resides with my mother at the moment. My mother cannot take care of her as she is getting older and not really too mobile. Athena is such a good dog with some beautiful hazel eyes and I would take her to Tennessee but I have young ones which takes most of our time and too busy to take care of Athena unfortunately. We love this dog and hate to see her go but this is our only option. Looking for a good family to take her in.

Story
Juliette is a bright, affectionate girl who’s full of life and love to give! She greets everyone with enthusiasm and a big, happy jump. She’s social, eager to meet people, and can’t wait to stretch her legs and explore the world outside the kennel.Once out and about, Juliette shows her sweet and affectionate side. She leans in for pets, melts into a sit when you scratch her back, and enjoys every bit of attention she can get. This girl truly luxuriates in affection — she’s happiest when she’s near her people. While she can pull a bit on leash (especially when she’s excited or around other dogs), she’s responsive and wants to please. With some patient guidance, she’ll be a lovely walking buddy.Juliette’s playful and curious spirit shines when she’s out in the yard. She loves to explore, sniff around, and check in with her humans for reassurance. She’ll do best with adopters who can give her a calm, confident environment and help her continue to learn that she’s safe and secure. When it comes to treats and toys, Juliette shows her enthusiastic side! She’s a smart, trainable girl who will thrive with consistent structure, positive reinforcement, and lots of love.Juliette approaches new people with a low wag and gentle curiosity — shy for a moment, but quick to warm up once she feels safe. She’s affectionate, silly, and oh-so-ready to be someone’s loyal companion. To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
Billy Jim Bob is a big, handsome guy who has been through a lot in his young life, and he’s looking for a very special home. At around 2 years old and 75 pounds, he’s strong, sensitive, and still figuring out how to trust the world again after coming to us with a serious injury. This boy is smart, food-motivated, and enjoys his chews and treats. Once he feels safe, he’ll lean into pets and even melt into a sit for some good butt scratches. He takes time to warm up to new people, but with patience and consistency, he shows his sweet and goofy side.Billy Jim Bob is not a dog for a first-time owner—he needs an experienced adopter who understands big dogs with big feelings. He can get over-aroused in the kennel and on leash, so continued training and structure will be important to set him up for success. He’ll do best as the only pet in the home, in a calm, adult-only environment where he can decompress and learn at his own pace.He may not be the easiest match, but for the right person, Billy Jim Bob will be a loyal and loving companion who just needs someone to believe in him.Adopter Recommendations:Experienced dog ownerAdult-only home (no children)Only pet in the homeWillingness to continue training and behavior supportCould you be the patient, dedicated human Billy Jim Bob has been waiting for?To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
Tate is a handsome American Bully/Pit Bull mix who’s ready to find a home with someone who understands his needs and will help him shine. At his core, Tate is a fun, toy-loving guy—especially when it comes to his squeaky toys!Because Tate isn’t dog-friendly, he’ll need to be the only pet in the home. He can get distracted and reactive when he sees other dogs, so his perfect adopter will be someone experienced with dogs—bonus points if you’re familiar with bulldog-type breeds. With the right structure and guidance, Tate has so much potential to thrive.Tate would do best in a calm, adult-only home or one with older, teen children who understand how to respect his space. With love, consistency, and patience, this big-hearted boy will reward his new family with loyalty, fun, and plenty of tail wags.If you’re an experienced dog owner looking for a devoted companion, Tate might just be the one for you!To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
At about 2 years old and 62 pounds of handsome charm, Dominick is a playful, toy-loving pup who’s ready to find his person. This sweet boy has a soft spot for women and would thrive with an experienced dog owner who understands how to give him structure, patience, and love. He’s looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he can feel safe and finally relax.Dominick has been with us since February 2025, and shelter life hasn’t been easy for him. The noise and constant activity make him anxious, and he’s currently on medication to help him cope. But the good news? He’s showing real improvement — his personality is shining through more and more every day.Once you get to know him, you’ll see what a loyal, goofy, and affectionate companion he can be. Dominick absolutely adores his toys — you’ll often see him proudly carrying his favorite stuffed animal on walks, as if to show it off to the world. We know the right person is out there for him — someone patient, kind, and ready to give Dominick the calm, loving home he’s been waiting for.Could that be you? ??If you would like to meet Dominick, visit our website (www.HamiltonNJ.com/AnimalShelter) and complete an online adoption application.
