We need to surrender our dog and we are desperate now. In July I rescued a beautiful male pit bull who was being kept in my neighbor’s shed. We got him neutered and all the medical care needed immediately. We hired a professional trainer who worked with us to get this dog in a much better disciplined place. Kody is a great young dog with energy. He is not good with cats and we have 4. We were trying to work on that. My other dog isn’t able to handle Kody who is much younger. We thought she would get over it. Any shelter will put him down. We looked into it last week. He is a big spoiled mush who loves to be with us. He is house and crate trained, up to date on everything. This is not what we want to do but have to do. This is the hardest decision ever.

Ralph was abandoned as a pup, found by a friend of my grandson and kept by the friend in his room temporarily. My grandson stepped in and said his mother, my daughter, would take him, which she did, and kept him with her through thick and thin until she could no longer take care of him. She is homeless and that is why Ralph ended up at an animal shelter that could not offer him a place to stay — there was no room for him, they were filled to capacity and I was told in no uncertain terms that I must pick him up. That is how he ended up with me. As you can see from his photos, he is a very handsome fellow. He is also healthy, strong and usually a perfect gentleman, except when it comes to cats, one of which lives in the house. There is no fence around the house’s yard, which means I have to walk him 3-4 times a day. I am 74 years old and not up for the task, but someone younger and more resilient than me could give ralph the loving permanent family he deserves!

She is instantly friendly when greeting new people, jumping up for attention and pets. She would benefit from some training so that she learns how to greet people more politely. Sheba seems social and curious about other dogs but also snarky and easily frustrated. She may be able to have dog friends if introduced properly, with gradual introductions with low-key playmates.
