Story
Riot is about a year old. She was found as a stray, not fixed, no microchip, super skinny. She went through one heat cycle before we got her spayed, chipped, and vaccinated. She is now a healthy weight (45lbs), does well with my other dogs and is very loving. She would do well as an only dog or with a bigger dog. She does like to jump out of the yard to go play with neighbor dogs so she needs at least a six foot fence to keep her contained. She is kennel trained, house trained, leash trained and she sits pretty for her food. She loves her walks and will play fetch with a tennis ball, before she tears it up. ☺️

Story
We are looking for Perpetual Care Fosters for our sweet Carmen. Due to her anxiety and nervousness around people and other dogs, a long-term foster is preferred. Perpetual Foster means she would be in the home, but Watermelon would take care of her medical needs. Carmen`s Story:Carmen is one of the Ranch`s long-time residences who is yet to find her forever home. She can be very shy when it comes to meeting new people and likes to approach people at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she will want to be around you all the time! She loooves water and enjoys standing around in the kiddie pools to cool off in the summer. She is a little selective about the dogs she enjoys being around and tends to prefer the company of submissive females. She would do best in a home without kids and a tall fence since she has some incredible `hops`.Come meet Carmen at the Main Ranch Location. For further information email dogswmr@gmail.com

Story
Meet Tyson! This sweet old man is looking for a gentle and loving home where he can spend his days relaxing and getting lots of snuggles. Despite his age, Tyson still enjoys going on walks and playing with his four legged friends. Tyson came to us with a skin condition that had been untreated for quite some time, leading to secondary skin infections as well as hair loss, he has been undergoing treatment and has started to regrow his hair but he will need continued treatment with antifungal baths, a sensitive skin and stomach diet, and continuous care with a veterinarian. Tyson is at our Main Ranch location!Watermelon Mountain Ranch(Across from Cleveland High School)3251 Westphalia Blvd. NERio Rancho, NM 87144505-221-2359Wed-Sun 11am-4pm(adoptions and tours until 3pm)

Meet Gypsy!Gypsy is so sweet and playful, she is always ready for whatever adventure comes her way. She is an active girl and would love to go on walks, runs, and hikes with her future family. Gypsy loves playing with other dogs but can be a bit bossy at times, she would do best with a dog who doesn`t mind being bossed around. Gypsy is young and still needs some work on her manners but she loves to learn, she is just waiting for someone to teach her.Gypsy is at our Main Ranch location!Watermelon Mountain Ranch(Across from Cleveland High School)3251 Westphalia Blvd. NERio Rancho, NM 87144505-221-2359Wed-Sun 11am-4pm(adoptions and tours until 3pm)

Story
Meet Tex!This handsome pitty mix is newer to us so we are still getting to know him. So far we have learned that Tex can be a bit people selective, but when he decides he likes you he is the biggest cuddle bug! Tex can be dog selective, we believe he would do best in a home with no small animals and with another dog who is playful but still knows when to be calm. Because Tex has a pure white coat, he requires limited outdoor time and sunscreen when he goes outside. Tex is going through training to learn how to coexist with people and other pets and is doing very well so far.Tex is at our main ranch location!Watermelon Mountain Ranch(Across from Cleveland High School)3251 Westphalia Blvd. NERio Rancho, NM 87144Wed-Sun 11am-4pm(adoptions and tours until 3pm)

Story
Meet Baby Girl! She absolutely loves people and getting attention! She does need help around other dogs in the home due to her anxiety. She gets overexcited and tends to overwhelm any other dog that is near her. She needs a family who is willing to work with these things and get her to a much calmer state of mind. She would do best as a single dog or in a home with a dog her size or bigger due to her prey drive. She requires a meet and greet with any other dog in the home and would need slow introductions since she comes on very strong upon first impressions. She is honestly the sweetest dog but needs love and a family who is willing to see her amazing potential. Baby Girl is at our main ranch location!
