Story
Meet Paisley! Paisley was a PACA puppy who was adopted at 6-months old. Eleven years later she is back with PACA because her mother passed away. Paisley is super sweet, and seems to have mastered both doggie-speak and English! When my tiny Chihuahuas correct her (!Slow down Paisley!; or !You are crowding my space!, she politely listens to them.) She is quick to learn and quick to cooperate. Paisley would love nothing more than to have a loving home WITH a 4-legged friend in her age range who wants to share toys, pal around, have zoomies, and cuddle together. Paisley loves to play with toys and chew on bones; but she has never chewed on my shoes or anything that doesn’t have a “doggie label.” Paisley is good in the car, good on a leash, good in stores, and good with other dogs. We are not recommending a home with small children, because it seems to be the only activity group where she might become a bit uncomfortable. Paisley is a really good kid, and whoever adopts her and shows her kindness will be well rewarded with love and devotion. Thank you for your interest in a Rescue Pet! PACA is a Foster-Based Rescue with no shelter. We have adoption clinic on the 1st Saturday of each month from 11a-2pm at 6300 San Mateo (along the grass next to Academy Rd) in the southern end of the Spouts Market parking lot volunteer staffing/weather permitting. We can also make arrangements for a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with approved applications. Story
Meet Lila Rose, a mature, well behaved, young adult dog with a spirit as vibrant as her name. She is around 2 years old, and about 49lbs. Lila Rose is always ready for her next adventure, whether it`s a walk or a playful game of fetch (with toys, not tennis balls) her enthusiasm is contagious. Lila Rose is strong, but she walks very well on a leash. She’s treat motivated, smart, eager to learn, and has already mastered “sit” and “shake” and takes treats gently. She especially loves sitting right on your feet! With the right guidance & training, she has the potential to be an amazing pet. She`s also incredibly loyal, ready to protect you and stand by your side through thick and thin. Lila Rose prefers to be the star of the show, as she can be a picky about other furry friends that she hangs out with. Her selective nature with other dogs only proves her discerning taste. A meet and greet would be highly recommended to ensure a good fit. Adopt Lila Rose and let the journey begin. Her energy and loyalty will brighten up your home. She is spayed and ready to go home today! A note from Lila Rose herself:P.S. I’ve actually been at the shelter since September 20th. I was adopted for just 2 days, but I was anxious and didn’t have much of an appetitive in those 2 days so sadly, I was returned. No fault of my own. Just needed a little more time to get comfortable and feel safe. P.S.S. I keep my kennel clean and I’m on potty brigade at the shelter, which means I’m most likely already house trained. :) Watch this video featuring Lila Rose: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8cKpCwY/

Story
Saja`s foster mom has this to say about her-`I could hardly believe this great pet had been waiting at the shelter for nearly a year to be adopted! She simply got overlooked time and time again.Saja has been such a good girl while in foster with me. She has very good manners and listens well. She is about 60 lbs and gets along with my female senior large dog and small male dog. Saja has been on some public outings to the farmer`s market and a brewery with shelter volunteers, see her in action here: (https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8Y2S9Hg/)Saja likes to play tug with homemade tube sock balls and rope toys, she`s easy to please! She is content to hang out with you, whether that`s outside or on the couch, wherever you are that`s where she wants to be. She has mellow energy overall and gets the occasional zoomies which are hilarious to watch.Saja loves to go for walks and can be quite enthusiastic to get out and smell all the smells. 20 minutes is usually enough for her to get all her sniffing in but can go for longer if you`re up for it. She`ll let you know when she gets hot or tired, she`ll just plop down in the shade or grass when she wants to take a break! She has a literal `sparkle` in her left eye, not sure what caused it but she sees and gets around just fine.Saja is an easy to be with dang good doggo and is so deserving of a loving forever home. She`s sure to be a loyal and devoted companion!`

Mira is a solid, happy girl who is friendly, curious and outgoing! She loves back rubs, playing in kiddie pools and is great in the car. This cutie patootie also has the most adorable spots on the piggie pink skin of her belly and ears! Mira was stressed and not eating enough in the shelter, but is now nice and plump in foster care! She has good manners and sits nicely when asked. Mira is house trained. She loves to say hi to everybody she meets with lots of tailwags and smiles. She is people, child, dog, and even cat friendly! She is a strong gal for 50 lbs but is easy to walk with a harness. And boy does she love her walks! She has medium energy overall and settles down nicely. She’s just a chill dog. Mira would really love to meet you and the family, and any current dogs too. So reach out (to her vol @ 505.600.1443) to get to know this awesome doggo!Check her out on a Doggie Day Out she went on before getting into foster care: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLaVorGv/

Story
Carmen is one of the Ranch's long-time residences who is yet to find her forever home. She can be very shy when it comes to meeting new people and likes to approach people at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she will want to be around you all the time! She loooves water and enjoys standing around in the kiddie pools to cool off in the summer. She is a little selective about the dogs she enjoys being around and tends to prefer the company of submissive females. She would do best in a home without kids and a tall fence since she has some incredible "hops".Come meet Carmen at the Main Ranch Location. For further information email dogswmr@gmail.com

Nicholas is a long-term shelter resident, and absolute staff favorite. He's stunningly beautiful, very charming, affectionate, and he walks well on a leash. He LOVES the water: whether he's playing in a kiddie pool or playing at the lake, he enjoys splashing around. He also loves to play with his toys and balls and likes to parade them around and show you how proud he is. He requires a tall fence and very secure yard. Nicholas does need to be an only dog as he needs all of his future adopter's attention.Come meet Nicholas at the Main Ranch Location! If you need further information, please email dogswmr@gmail.com

Story
Remington is a playful and boisterous puppy-at-heart. He would love to find an active home with large dog experience. He's been yearning for a home for a very long time. He is great with people, but his enthusiasm and energy might make him a best fit for children 12 years or older. He is dog selective; the best match would be a medium to large, mellow dog that doesn't overwhelm him. He is very sweet and loves life. Remington would thrive from walks with his owner and a balanced diet. He is cat reactive, so a home with a cat would not be ideal. He can be see at the main ranch location. Story
Meet Tipsy! This gorgeous brown Pittie has had it rough but has come out just as happy and loveable as ever. She was dumped and abandoned at our main ranch facility where she was lost and scared, but came up to staff so friendly. She was then taken to the city shelter for her stray hold and then brought back to us! Shortly after, she was diagnosed with Parvo, in which she was quarantined and fighting for her life. She survived and came out as strong as ever. Because she was quarantined for so long, she has big-girl energy and would do well with a large back yard and room to run! She also does well with other dogs and enjoys the playful company. She is still learning all the behavioral commands and would do well with a family who understands she is young and still learning. Because she is a Parvo survivor she cannot be adopted into a home with any dog under a year old. This beauty is looking for her furrever family. If you are interested or have any questions please stop by our main ranch facility or email dogswmr@gmail.com

Story
Hi there! My name is Fidget Fiesta and I am a female English Bull Terrier blend born on August 7, 2022. Bet you can't guess how I got my name! I was a bottle baby and I used to fidget with my bottle. Apparently it was pretty funny! I can be a little shy at first and take a little bit to warm up to you, but once I do, I'm a regular cuddle bug! I also believe that sleeping is an important part of my life haha. I'm good with big and little dogs, as well as humans. Being in your lap for cuddles is THE BEST! My foster I am house trained and know basic obedience. I think we need to think about maybe finding my forever home with you. All of our pets are in foster homes in the greater Albuquerque area. The steps to getting a new furry friend include: the completion of an adoption application, a home visit, and an adoption approval, along with the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $275 and includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, chip, and age appropriate vaccines. We look forward to helping you complete your family, soon. Please click Adopt to be taken to the adoption application. Thanks! ##1561298##
