Lyla is dog selective and kid age 7 tested positively, however due to her exhuberance, an adult only home is recommended. She is highly trainable, treat and attention motivated. She is very fast at learning agility commands and would be the next champion, kid you not. Transferred in on June 7th from the Yreka Shelter. Excellent leash walker. Very loyal, but guarded due to history of abuse. Warms up very quickly with treats. Very well behaved at Animal Veterinary Hospital in Ashland, OR. Fully vetted. HW and parasite negative. On HW prevention and flea tick prevention. Free lesson provided. Travels well in cars and without a crate! Loves long walks/jogs. Loves to swim! Learning cats and dogs. Collar, leash, free lesson, life long on-line support.

Story
Only loving, stable homes need apply. Duke is the sweetest boy and a wonderful companion. He is almost 3, a quiet dog, mature for his age, doesn’t really bark unless someone’s at the door. Duke was neutered 5/1/25, and brought up to date on all vaccines to increase suitability for new family~ $500 investment. He will chase cats and I don’t think he would do well with other dogs at this time. He’s not kennel trained, he grew up traveling with my husband and never had a crate. He would get depressed if he had to be kenneled during the day. He can be alone, will not destroy items just naps. He hasn’t been around small children much but would be happy to do a meet and greet for a forever home. He’s the goodest boy.

Story
Meet Freya! This unique and adorable girl is longing for a home where she can give all the hugs and kisses her body can muster up. With her sweet and cuddly personality paired with her intelligence and eager to learn attitude, it's hard to believe she's been waiting so long for her person to come along and snatch her up! Could you be who she's waiting for? Freya has had positive experiences with other dogs here at the shelter and has come to prefer a more confident male companion who will still let her be in charge! She would love to go to a moderately active home where she can romp around and play fetch to keep her mind moving! She loves learning new things and already knows 'Sit', 'Down', 'Roll Over' and to take treats gently! She would likely learn much more in no time with more one on one training and become a master of obedience!  Call the Ranch to come meet Freya today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       February 27, 2025, 2:34 pm

Story
Meet Henri! This big, beautiful boy loves people and playing with his doggy pals! Henri has lived at the shelter his entire life with little to no interest , and we aren't sure why! Luckily, this sweet boy got the opportunity to go into a foster home, and they sing his praises about how amazing he is!  Henri is mellow in the home and likes to be wherever his people are. He loves playing with toys or just romping around the house. He is potty trained, leash trained, knows how to 'Sit', and loves going to the dog park! With his dog-social nature, Henri may do well in a home with another dog or two but he will happily be your one and only canine friend in the home, though he would like some doggy playdates from time to time!  This outgoing young boy has been overlooked his whole life and it's time for him to find his forever home! Could you be the one he's been waiting for? Call the Ranch to meet happy Henri today! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Story
Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian.  Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with  911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds)  by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required),  and a portion of the cost will be refunded.    All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       May 2, 2025, 5:52 pm
