Story
Meet Gladys, a sweet 8 year old we think pt/lab mix. We are writing this through tears because we love her so much and have tried everything to make it work. She has a history of attacking her sister that she grew up with since she was a puppy. This all started when she was about 6 years old out of nowhere. Since then we have had to keep her muzzled while they’re together or else she would try to attack. We have been making it work because we love her. Fast forward to now.. We have a 1 year old that she just went after with her muzzle on. We just cannot let that happen and it breaks our hearts at the thought of rehoming her, but it’s what we have to do to keep everyone safe. She is potty trained, she is a grazer. She loves her big bowl of food just available to her at all times. She never over eats. Gladys is obsessed with the ball and LOVES the outside. She is the snuggliest big dog I have ever met. She looks forward to her greenies every morning and LOVES her beef liver treats.

Story
Our sweet Pepper. A good boy adopted from a humane society in Grants Pass, he’s about 4 years old now. He’s a loving boy, great at cuddling, play mate, and will do anything for a treat. He loves other dogs and cats and people. Unfortunately he needs more attention than we can give him since our 1 year old is allergic to him. We also can’t afford a play mate that he desperately needs to run with. House, crate, and potty trained. Loves long hikes and is pretty good at fetch.

Story
Meet Pablo – A Loyal, Gentle-Hearted Pup! Pablo is a one-of-a-kind dog with a distinctive split ear and a personality to match! He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he feels safe, he’ll become your shadow, your quiet sidekick, and your loyal best friend all rolled into one. In new or unfamiliar settings, Pablo looks to his person for reassurance, navigating the world with cautious curiosity and a heart full of love. Pablo came from a hoarding situation, so he’s comfortable around other dogs and loves to play — he enjoys roughhousing with doggy friends who match his playful yet confident style. Despite his spirited play with other pups, he is always gentle and affectionate with humans, making him a sweet companion for his family. He would thrive in a peaceful home with a doggy friend and a family ready to offer patience, understanding, and love. In return, Pablo will reward you with unwavering loyalty, sweet cuddles, and the kind of friendship that lasts a lifetime. Story
Meet Stewey – The Water-Loving Cuddle Bug Ready to Make a Splash in Your Life! Stewey isn’t just any dog—he’s a seal in disguise! This handsome, middle-aged pitbull has earned the nickname “land seal” for good reason: he lives for water. Whether he’s splashing around in his water trough, soaking up the sun after a playful swim, or just rolling in a puddle, Stewey is happiest when wet and having fun. But don’t let his water-loving ways fool you—this goofy guy has a heart of gold. Stewey has a quirky, lovable personality that’s impossible not to adore. One of his favorite antics? Proudly carrying his empty food bowl around with a big, silly grin, as if to say, “Look what I’ve got!” It’s just a glimpse of the playful, silly charm he brings to every day. Beneath the fun-loving exterior, Stewey is a total sweetheart and a cuddle enthusiast. He adores people of all ages, making him a wonderful family companion who thrives on affection and attention. He’s also been introduced to a few female dogs and gets along well, enjoying the occasional chase or wrestling session—though he’s just as happy to lounge nearby afterward. Stewey would thrive in a home that loves water as much as he does and is ready to share in all his goofy, loving moments. He’s playful, affectionate, and full of heart—a one-of-a-kind companion who brings joy wherever he goes. Ready to dive into a life filled with love, laughter, and splashes? Call the Ranch today to meet Stewey and let him make your home his happy place! This dog, as well as several other dogs and puppies, are currently in our program through a special collaboration with Siskiyou County Animal Control.  Due to severe overcrowding and limited resources in the region, many shelters are faced with incredibly difficult decisions. Together, we’re working to give these dogs a better chance by finding them loving homes or transferring them to partner rescues. They’re available for adoption just like our Rescue Ranch pups — but because of the urgency of the situation, they may be transferred quickly. If you're interested, we highly encourage you to act fast — they deserve a loving home, and it could be yours! Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog.
