Story
What my friends at Heartland say about me:- I am a very handsome gentleman who loves to hang out with people.- I would be the perfect companion to relax at home with or take nice strolls around the neighborhood.- I love treats, I might even be willing to learn a few tricks for a really good snack.- I met a few dogs here at Heartland and I was pretty unphased by what they had to say to me. I would rather do my own thing sniffing in the yard than play with an energetic dog.The type of home I'm looking for:- If you have other dogs in your home, I would like to meet them before going home with you.- I'm hoping to find a family that will love and cherish me!If you're interested in Newman, please submit an adoption questionnaire. Once we receive the questionnaire, we will contact you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment!Come down to Heartland to learn more about me and have a play date! My adoption fee is $90.

Adoption Fee $ 200Microchip # 982126059963222Weight 57.5 LBSMeet Amaya. She is a SafeHaven Alumni that has returned to find her furever home. She is a very sweet girl! She knows some commands, but could benefit from training. We are trying to tell her she is not part of a sled dog team, so make sure she understands what she's training for! Amaya would do best in a home by herself because she prefers to love you alone. She would also like to state that even though she thinks they are cute and most likely useful in some way, she would like to live in a home without kids. Contact fostercare@safehavenhumane.com to meet and adopt this girlie today!

Story
Gus is a beautiful 3.5 year old Great Dane and Pit mix. He can be very sweet and cuddly and likes being with his people. He is a smart boy who is crate trained, potty trained and knows lots of commands. He is good with other dogs and is submissive. He was a baby during Covid, so he was not exposed to a lot of people or things and because of that he is afraid of things. We were told that he was left alone a lot as a puppy before we got him, so he has some separation anxiety and doesn't like to be alone for long periods of time. He has shown some food aggression (growling) not frequently. He has also growled at our child as well as other children who visited our home. This is our reason for rehoming, we feel like he needs to go to a home with NO CHILDREN. He is a big boy weighing in at 100 pounds, so he needs a patient owner who can train and control him. He can be such a sweet boy and is not very active, he likes to lounge on the couch by you all day and snuggle.

Story
Indy is about 3 years old, 65 lbs. Indy has a medium energy level and loves his walks. He's very scent driven and would make a fabulous adventure companion. Indy has also a fantastic food drive which helps greatly with his training. He knows how to walk on leash, understands basic commands, is "place" trained, crate trained, and fully potty trained. Indy has a more independent nature and enjoys affection but is not needy. We think he will do best in a child free home as he likes his space. Indy does well with other dogs and has participated in playgroups at the shelter. He'd be a great single dog or he'd best be paired with a female dog of similar size as he has enjoyed their company while with us. He will need a large dog experienced home and thrives with structure, guidance, rules, and boundaries. If you're looking for the perfect adventure buddy, Indy is your boy! He is confident and loves to explore, no matter the conditions! We offer training support for all of our dogs. If you are interested in a meet and greet, please go to our website and fill out an adoption application www.wallflowersshine.com/application. Thank you.

Story
Sabrina is an approximately 1 yo., 60 lbs. sweet and friendly girl. She's wiggly initially with a burst of energy but settles down nicely. Sabrina loves to play and enjoys the jolly ball and a good game of tug. She loves to chew on her bones and hang out with her people. She does well with small and large dogs and has also been very sweet with young puppies. We think she'd do great with another friendly dog who doesn't mind her initial higher energy. Sabrina walks very well on leash, does awesome in her crate, is potty trained, knows basic commands, and started learning the "place" command. We think she'd do well with children 8 and up. Sabrina can be insecure in new situations but we've been working on gaining confidence and she's doing great. We think Sabrina could live with dog savvy cats and with somebody that can set clear boundaries with her. Video of Sabrina meeting cats https://youtu.be/NUSLlwaEfzg?si=MfBHomn1wAmZG3QM Sabrina is a wonderful girl and anyone will be lucky to adopt her. You must fill out an adoption application in order to be considered for a meet and greet; www.wallflowersshine.com/application. Thank you.

Story
Howdy there, my name is Hara, and it's a pleasure to meet you finally! I'm a cool gal, medium-sized (20-59lbs), American Pitbull terrier looking for a forever home! I am what one might consider a seasoned veteran in being a doggy, I've done it all! I escaped a scary situation from my previous, mean owners, had a litter of puppies that are all grown and great, sleep soundly in my doggy bed, fetch and play with my toys, and so much more! I also like to run and play with my friends. We run ALOT and play and wrestle and tumble.... I would LOVE to have a dominant male dog to be my friend forever. I respond very well to a male dog who is in charge so my rescue mommy will try to find me that perfect doggy friend for me. Or I can be an only dog :) So versatile!! Since I'm an elderly lady I love exercise and activity but don't need too much of it, being a couch potato all day can be exhausting too! I'm a bit picky when it comes to people, so please be patient and calm when approaching me or getting to know me! We are all hoping I can get adopted soon, my life is on hold until I make the ULTIMATE jump to a real FUREVER HOME!!! Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog *Hara can only be adopted in Texas.* Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas)
