Run D.O.G. is a 6 year old male. He unfortunately was part of another Bedford hoarding house. We are suspecting he will need help with house training. Otherwise, he is a very happy guy! He has a lot of energy and would be a great outdoor hiking companion or a sport dog. He is a food thief and will take advantage of short children and steal their food lol! He will need to learn some manners, or he will be counter surfing. We know his high energy will not be compatible with all dogs. He is unsure about cats so we are still testing him to see what we think.** RUN D.O.G. is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. In person applications take priority over ones mailed or emailed (especially on a popular animal). An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Tex is a 2 year old male. He is a large Pit mix. He cannot live with cats. Smaller dogs are a no go too. He needs large dogs who can handle his play style. He can live with kids. He think he is a lap dog. ** Tex is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Ivy is about 5 years old and can sometimes have puppy energy. She was abandoned in early March at no fault of her own and since she came to the shelter, she loves up on everyone that allows it. She loves getting attention and giving it back. She loves giving hugs and loves them in return as well. She is a very sweet girl who can be playful but usually just likes to chill out, get belly rubs and sunbathe. Ivy loves to go for walks and walks very well on the leash. 9 times out of 10, she interacts very well with other dogs and will be cat-tested soon. She can be a little shy at first with other dogs and also small children. Ivy is more confident when the control is in her paws. If you let her approach you, in her own time, she will warm up pretty quickly. She is a very good and calm dog who is waiting for her furever home.
