Run D.O.G. is a 6 year old male. He unfortunately was part of another Bedford hoarding house. We are suspecting he will need help with house training. Otherwise, he is a very happy guy! He has a lot of energy and would be a great outdoor hiking companion or a sport dog. He is a food thief and will take advantage of short children and steal their food lol! He will need to learn some manners, or he will be counter surfing. We know his high energy will not be compatible with all dogs. He is unsure about cats so we are still testing him to see what we think.** RUN D.O.G. is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. In person applications take priority over ones mailed or emailed (especially on a popular animal). An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Tex is a 2 year old male. He is a large Pit mix. He cannot live with cats. Smaller dogs are a no go too. He needs large dogs who can handle his play style. He can live with kids. He think he is a lap dog. ** Tex is in our care in Altoona PA. He is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. This lovely little house hippo is Pepper. She is the the sweetest girl with a personality to match. She loves to soak up all the attention she can and if your no carful she may even sneak in a little kiss as well. She does well for her baths and knows how to sit like a lady for her treats. She will need help learning how to walk properly on the leash, we think a harness would do her wonders. Her feet are VERY ticklish and she will pull her feet away when you cut her nails. She would do best in a home with another doggie friend to live life with, and or some older kiddos as well. She will also need help getting onto a potty routine in her new home as well. Lebo came to me as a temporary foster. His owner had health issues and needed someone to care for him during a rehab stay. The gentleman's condition worsened and he was unable to resume care of Lebo. We have worked on Lebo's manners, and he has made huge improvements! He is eager to learn and please! He has been great with other dogs and my cats. He can occasionally be possessive over very high value items. He has a great personality, is loving, and is always doing something that makes us laugh! He is a great mix of energetic play and couch potato. He loves hiking and outdoor play and absolutely adores being close and cuddly. Once it was clear that his owner was unable to take him home, I began trying to find a home for him, but my network is small and I have been unable to find a stable and loving home for him. My landlord has given me a date till the end of December to find him a home, or take him to the shelter. Lebo thanks you for taking the time to read his profile!
