Clyde is one handsome dude. 🎩 He came in with Bonnie as strays at the shelter. We pulled them together. He needs a foster and is available for adoption. Clyde is 2 years old, 50 pounds and full of himself. He is a gentle and silly boy that loves to play. He is good with other dogs and people. We have not seen him with cats as of yet. He does well on a leash and enjoys his walks. He is house and crate trained and loves a car rides. Clyde can climb a chain link fence easily. A privacy six foot is recommended or leashing for walks. He comes to you neutered, microchipped, vetted and up to date on vaccinations. He is heartworm negative. If you would like to meet Clyde, as well as Bonnie, submit your application from www.wearezeus.org Currently in Lexington, SC, with transport available.

Story
Beck is a very sweet and loyal dog. As all pits are, he can be stubborn - particularly in the mornings. He generally gets along well with smaller dogs but can be food aggressive and/or exhibit alpha behavior. He loves to sun bathe, sleep, destroy tennis balls and play tug of war the most. He will snuggle and lean on you and stay with you all night if you let him. He recently got into it with our small beagle which is leading us to consider rehoming as we aren’t sure how he would behave around small kids (limited exposure around them).

Story
Laika is a goofy, sweet dog who just loves to play. She is curious in meeting new dogs, and every now and then, when she comes across a dog who also loves to play, they easily become best friends. We rescued Laika off the street. She was still a puppy, but skin and bones, and had a huge cut on her neck. It looked like she somehow escaped from a chain collar that was digging into her neck. There is still a scar on her neck. We have socialized her. She now loves visiting Petsmart, car-rides, and going on walks in the park. She loves hikes, and will walk into a river with you. Her favorite game is fetch. She loves chew toys. When we chase her around with a lime, she makes funny faces and plays along. She likes cuddles/kisses/pats. She needs a fenced backyard and a family that wants to play with her. Our house has a cat, 2 dogs, many visitors, and kids. She gets along with everybody. Words she knows: go potty, sit, stay, twirl, shake, no bite, yes, no, toy, ball.

Female, Adult

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Location: West Columbia, SC Name: Angel Age: 4 years Breed: Pit/shepherd mix - 57 lbs M/F: F Spayed/Neutered/Shots: UTD on rabies and dhpp, heartworm negative and UTD on prevention, spayed Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: Good with other dogs of all sizes and children. She isn’t a jumper which works very well for children. She seems to ignore my grown cats but tries to pick up small kittens and carry them around (doesn’t seem to be trying to hurt them) but I keep her separated just to be safe. Can get annoyed with the more energetic dogs. Aggression or medical issues?: flea allergy so have to keep her on prevention during warmer. Nub tail from previous life injuries that will flare up if flea allergies present and get raw again from her licking so again… flea prevention. months - Has been involved with a fight she didn’t want to be in and she tried to hold her own but gave up and simply laid down while I got the other off. She was raised with chiweenies and had 0 clue what to do in that situation. She thinks she is a small dog couch potato (other dog I learned is not good around any other female pit mixes and she was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time). Reason for rehoming?: owner moved and left her behind in a crate House/crate trained?: yes but doesn’t have to be crated as she doesn’t mess with anything in the house. Additional info/story (personality): Very sweet and loves to cuddle and get pets. She is more in her “laid back” era and more focused on pets and attention than playing with the others. When I get home and let her out her crate she greets me and then goes outside to potty and maybe hangs out 5-10 min before she’s back inside ready to hang out on the couch and cuddle. She also is really not bright for lack of better words (training her commands is extremely difficult). Message/comment if interested. Make sure if you message me to include the animal’s name since I have a lot of rescues I am trying to help rehome at the moment. Adoption application & contract required to ensure good home.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
He’s a very sweet boy with no sense of personal space and loves giving kisses and cuddles. He cannot be trained like a regular dog because he does not understand positive or negative reinforcement, only consistency. He has good and bad days. Sometimes he can be walked on a leash; sometimes he can’t so he has to go to a home with a FENCED IN YARD. When he is very excited, he is a jumper. I have tried everything possible to get him to stop but he just does not understand (although he doesn’t do it as much as he used to so hopefully he will grow out of it). He also functions a billion times better when other dogs are in the home so he must go to a home with OTHER DOGS. His crate and the couch are his safe places. When he is stressed, he has to have access to his crate because that is his safe place (either enclosed or metal with a cover around it). I can’t shortly explain him in full, so if anyone is genuinely interested, please reach out and we can discuss more. When I say he is nonfunctional off medication I mean he refused to leave his crate, would use the bathroom on himself, and barely eat because he was so terrified of everything. His meds completely changed his life and they aren’t negotiable in any part of his future. Message/comment if interested.
