Story
Angel is very sweet. She loves to cuddle me and the other dogs. She is good with the dogs here from 5 lbs to 90 lbs. She will give me kisses. She has really thick nails cause the last owner didn’t keep them cut well so just be mindful of that cause they’re a bit harder to trim (she doesn’t use them to scratch me or anything like that). She doesn’t jump on me and is for the most part, very gentle with me. She’s pretty laid back for the most part since she is past her puppy stage and just looking for her forever home. The vet said her weight wasn’t of concern, but she is a very lean girl. She is very shy at first and takes a bit to warm up. Has a nub tail from previously chewing it off due to stress in past home. Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids: Good with other dogs of all sizes and children. She seems to ignore my grown cats but tries to pick up small kittens and carry them around (doesn’t seem to be trying to hurt them) but I keep her separated just to be safe.

Story
He’s a very sweet boy with no sense of personal space and loves giving kisses and cuddles. He cannot be trained like a regular dog because he does not understand positive or negative reinforcement, only consistency. He has good and bad days. Sometimes he can be walked on a leash; sometimes he can’t so he has to go to a home with a FENCED IN YARD. When he is very excited, he is a jumper. I have tried everything possible to get him to stop but he just does not understand (although he doesn’t do it as much as he used to so hopefully he will grow out of it). He also functions a billion times better when other dogs are in the home so he must go to a home with OTHER DOGS. His crate and the couch are his safe places. When he is stressed, he has to have access to his crate because that is his safe place (either enclosed or metal with a cover around it). I can’t shortly explain him in full, so if anyone is genuinely interested, please reach out and we can discuss more. When I say he is nonfunctional off medication I mean he refused to leave his crate, would use the bathroom on himself, and barely eat because he was so terrified of everything. His meds completely changed his life and they aren’t negotiable in any part of his future. Message/comment if interested.

Story
She is a very sweet girl and loves to cuddle. She wears out fast since everything requires so much more energy. She does really well with other dogs and enjoys having them around as long as they don’t mind her playing with them. She loves sniffing and makes the cutest sounds when she is sniffing (she sounds like a pig honestly). She loves to sit with her left leg tucked underneath her as well. Her physical therapist hates it, but there’s only so much you can expect. Is a snorer if she’s having a really good sleep. Does need heavy-duty dog toys as she will shred the softer ones in 30 seconds. She does not like to be left outside alone except for when she has to potty. If there are other dogs, she will sometimes stand to be out there and play with them for a while. If you are out there with her, she is fine staying out there for as long as you like. Does well on a leash but is very strong as a pre-warning (meaning a kid would not be able to walk her unless she has further leash training). Does need to be crated when left alone as she is very nosy and will get into something she shouldn't. EXTREMELY food motivated. MUST NOT HAVE CATS - I have tried everything possible with her to reduce her dislike of cats and it has only gotten worse.

Story
Thor is a very good boy that I inherited 4 years ago from a housemate who took a job out of country. He is very loyal and loving STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER. He likes to chase squirrels and lizards, and likes to sleep. A lot. He's an old boy (12 yrs) and he is starting to slow down especially since his lifemate and partner died three years ago. He is an ideal inside dog and couch mate. He has lived with two children for the past two years and gets along well with them. I am happy to answer any questions about him and his upbringing.

Story
I wish I could tell you my story, it involved being left on I26 with very little strength due to being severely emaciated with a broken leg. My neck had a huge collar with a torn rope weighting me down. A nice girl wrapped me in her jacket and transported me to a safe place with food and a warm bed. I'm on the small side for a Staffordshire Terrier. The surgeon said I'm a lucky boy to have the leg reset with a splint that requires crate rest and low activity. I'm so happy to have this second chance at life so early in my 3rd year of adulthood. They say my sweet demeanor has stolen the hearts of the adoption team. Cats and other dogs don't bother me, but I do need to be confined for the next month while I get checked and re-bandaged each week. Can I meet you and become your foster or 4-legged family member?Dobby is part of our Ambassador's Program. Although (s)he is not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, (s)he's received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. If an animal is abandoned or needs to be re-homed, we can assist people by providing medical care, marketing and training if the individual fosters the animal. Please contact us at adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet an Ambassador Animal.
