Story
Hi I'm looking to rehome this sweet girl Zena. She is 3 years old. Loves car rides. Loves to be next to her person on the couch & she will follow you around the house. Housetrained. Gentle with children after proper introductions. Doesn't mind baths. She loves stuffed toys & is the first pittie I've;ve had that doesn't destroy her toys. She carries them around very gently. Up to date on shots. NO CATS. I thought getting another dog would help me get over the death of my last girl that died at the age of 15 years and 10 months, but I'm just feeling overwhelmed because my 3 year old boy doesn't like her and I'm having to keep them separated 24/7. This is unfair to both dogs. I'd like to get her into a loving home because I know she'll be euthanized if I take her back to the shelter. I'm in the Columbia SC area.

Story
I found this sweet girl starving and knocking over trash cans about a year ago. I immediately fell in love with her. I have been giving her LOTS of love and good food, and she has been fully vetted, spayed, and treated for heartworms. I desperately want to keep her, but unfortunately her past and personality mean she really needs to find a home where she can be the only dog. She is incredibly sweet and loving towards all people, but extremely jealous of any attention shown to other dogs in the house and has attacked my other dog multiple times. She loves to cuddle and play tug. She doesn’t have accidents in the house, and is crate trained as well. The place where I board her when I am out of town told me she knows how to climb chain link fences, but she has never tried to escape my yard (I have wooden privacy fence). I would love to find her a home with no other pets or small children (she’s a little tank and would definitely barrel over small children if excited lol)

Story
My Mom found Butler on the side of the road 6 years ago. He has lived a very comfortable life with them since. My parents have many grandchildren and grand dogs that are at their house often, and Butler does not get along with the other dogs. The parents of the children feel it would be best to rehome him with the safety of their children top of mind. Butler has never bitten a human, but with all of the chaos of small children, they do not want to take any chances. Butler is probably about 7 or 8 years old. He is a sweet dog that would do best in a house without any other dogs or small children who would want to tug on him/be all over him.

Story
I drove 4 hours to save Zena from euthanasia at a kill shelter 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately my boy Jacob does not like her. I'm having to keep her in the laundry room 21 hours a day. That's no way for her to live. I would like for her to go to a loving home where she can roam freely & build her confidence! Zena loves toys, chewing on beef knuckle bones, car rides, walks, and cuddling on the couch. Absolutely NO cats. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Located in South Carolina.

Story
Kenny loves when the peanut butter box is here!  He was born around 2/7/21 and had the bad luck of being owned by someone who tied him up and let his collar grown into his neck.  They then tied him to a goal post because they did not have the nerve to surrender him to be safe,  Gotta love people!  He is an affectionate boy who walks well on the leash and is desperate for attention, once he is comfortable.  He does start off shy. He is crate trained, knows basic commands and is undergoing training and he LOVES to please his people. Now he is with a cat rescue HaHa!! We just know there is a home out there for this wonderful dog. Black cats! Black dogs! what ya gonna do?Adopt One, that's what!!He has not been exposed to cats but he ignores dogs on his walks and has only shown a tail wag and happy to meet ya! when in closer contact. email us at animalrescuecarolina@yahoo.com for an application or to meet Kenny.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 9:47 pm

Story
Hi there, I’m KB!I’m a happy, goofy, high-energy kind of guy who’s always up for a walk, a game, or just some good ol’ cuddle time. I LOVE people—like, all people—but kids? They’re my favorite! I’m gentle with the little ones and get so excited when I get to play with them.I’m still working on being 100% housetrained (hey, I’m trying!), but I really love my crate—it’s my cozy spot and I go there whenever I need to chill out. I know a few commands like “sit,” “no,” “go to your house,” and “go lay down.” Pretty smart, right? Now let’s talk about food… I get VERY excited at mealtime, so it’s best if I eat in my crate so I don’t try to sneak anyone else’s dinner. I take treats like it’s my job and if you’ve got a KONG toy, I’m your biggest fan. Just don’t give me a stuffed toy unless you want to see fluff everywhere. ??I’m a one-dog kind of dog, so I’d prefer to be your only furry friend. I’ve got a lot of love to give, and I want to give it all to you. I can get a little too excited around other dogs and small animals, so a calm, pet-free home where I’m the center of your world would be perfect.I thrive on routine, love to move, and just want someone who’ll give me the structure, playtime, and affection I crave. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will make you laugh and love you like crazy—I’m your guy. Let’s make some memories together!Adoption fee - $50KB is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. Please fill out an adoption application at https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adoptionapplication/ or contact adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet this animal.

Story
Meet Peggy Sue! This sweet pittie mix was found as a stray and is estimated to be around 3 years old. She walks well on a leash and gets along great with other dogs. Peggy Sue is truly a lovebug who sees everyone she meets as a new best friend. She greets people with full-body wiggles and plenty of kisses. She has been thriving in a foster home so far, learning all the training and manners she will need! Here's what her foster has to say: "Peggy love love loves to cuddle. She loves to take naps on her back with her paws up and she sits for treats and she’s super polite. Peggy is super gentle, she just loves to be near people! She is genuinely the sweetest dog ever. She also ignored dogs while on leash like a good girl! Housetrained too." We promised Peggy Sue that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. Meet Chuck, our longest resident! This smiley guy is a 3 year old pittie mix. We picked up Good Luck Chuck and 15 other dogs from a rural Florida shelter devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton, and transported them back to SC to find their final victories. After a full YEAR, Chuck is still waiting for his forever home! He is an energetic, affectionate boy with a true zest for life. He has been wonderful in our care, playing in the yards, running around with staff, and soaking up all the snuggles from volunteers and his favorite people. He is fully housetrained and a fan favorite for doggy day outs! Chuck is happy 24/7 and he will constantly put a smile on your face! He gets along with other dogs after slow, proper introductions. Chuck is an easygoing, lovable goofball who will shower his family with a lifetime of love! We promised Good Luck Chuck that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life. Story
Hi, I’m Keaton! I was adopted as a puppy, but sadly, several years later, I found myself back at Pawmetto Lifeline. My previous family didn’t quite understand what I needed as I grew bigger—they kept me outside all the time, and I didn’t get to meet many people or other dogs. Because of that, I can be nervous around strangers and reactive when behind barriers. But once I’m out in the open and get to know you, I’m the sweetest, goofiest, most loving dog you’ll ever meet. The staff here has been so kind, and they believe in me—and I’m starting to believe in myself, too. I’m looking for a calm, quiet home with someone who’s patient and experienced. I didn’t get training in my first home, but I’m eager to learn and bond with someone who’ll show me what love really means. If you can give me the time and space I need to open up, I promise I’ll reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and a one-of-a-kind personality. All I want is a forever family who’ll make me part of their lives—for good this time.My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Story
Hi, my name is Spot!I’m a one-of-a-kind pup here at Pawmetto Lifeline—and I’m looking for a very special person to share my heart with. You see, I’m deaf, which means I experience the world a little differently. Because of that, I need an experienced, patient adopter who understands the importance of structure, boundaries, and clear, consistent communication.I’m super food-motivated (seriously—treats are the way to my heart!), and I’ve got a goofy, loving side that shines when I’m comfortable. But I’ll be honest—I don’t warm up to strangers right away. I need a little time to get to know you and feel safe. Think of it like dating—we need a few visits before I’m ready to commit!I’d do best in a calm, adult-only home with no children and minimal chaos. Once I trust you, I’m incredibly loyal and affectionate. I’m just looking for someone who sees my potential and is willing to go slow with me.If you’re kind, experienced, and up for building a strong bond based on trust and love, I might just be the perfect pup for you. Could you be my person? If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Story
Hi, my name is Bambi, and I’ve been told I’m a strong little pup with a heart full of determination. I’ve been through a lot in my short life, but I don’t let it get me down—I love life too much!My front paws are a little different, and sometimes they buckle when I put weight on them. My back legs didn’t work at all when I was tiny, but now I’m building strength every day. Sometimes I can even stand tall on my back legs for a moment, and my foster mom cheers me on every time. The doctor says there are no limits to what I might accomplish—it’s all up to me!I don’t particularly enjoy my “bike pedaling” exercises (a puppy riding a bike—can you imagine?), but I do them because they help me grow stronger. In between workouts, I love tug-of-war, chewing on my ball, and being curious about the fluffy cats who live with me. I also adore kids and think they’re wonderful. At the end of the day, I like to snuggle close and drift off to sleep with my person nearby. I may move differently than other dogs, but I have the same love, joy, and spirit as any puppy—I just need someone special to believe in me.Could you be the one to cheer me on as I keep discovering all the amazing things I can do?I am a Priority Pet!Pawmetto Lifeline is offering FREE basic medical care for LIFE for Bambi-all included services listed below!Annual exam for life at Pawmetto LifelineCore Vaccines for life at Pawmetto LifelineFree annual HW test for life at Pawmetto LifelineCost of medications plus 10% (*doesn`t include HW/Flea prevention) from Pawmetto LifelineMy adoption fee of $100 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention.
