We rescued Biscuit in January of 2023 and she was 7 months old. She is a very sweet pit mix and very smart. She completed 6 weeks of training with Off Leash Chattanooga after trying to bite another female-not spayed that we rescued. She loves to snuggle, crawl on top, and loves to walk, train and car rides. She loves her bones and does become protective of them, usually just growling. We moved recently and have not continued with training and walking and she misses it. She has become very jealous of any other dogs especially females around her female owner. Recently she attacked an unspayed female (belonging to my son) over a bone. Because of this, she is no longer allowed around my son's dogs or his daughter, I will not take her to a shelter as she is scared of kennels and will become extremely depressed. She really shows sorrow when I am not with her. She needs a home with no other female dogs and no small children (to be cautious) and a loving attentive owner.

Story

Becky was adopted 7 years ago from the Atlanta Humane Society. She is about 11 years old and great with kids. She is extremely calm and spends most of the day lounging in her bed, but she does enjoy short walks. She does have skin allergies which require medication, and her upkeep has just become too much for us, as we're preparing to become foster parents (of people, not animals.) We'd love for her to go to a good loving home. She loves kids and other dogs, but she's also happy just being with her adult person.

He recently came to us from McKamey Animal Center after they reached out to the community for help due to having too many animals in their care.Here is what our awesome dog walking volunteer had to say about him, 'Godwin is a wiggly sweetheart with the ones he knows……he’s a great hiking partner, an excellent car rider and because he’s not going to be seeking attention form strangers, he will form an incredible bond with the lucky one who adopts him. He also super enjoyed his romp in the river.'Hi friends, I'm a lucky enough to be at this shelter and the name's Godwin......I like the way it's said with intention..... not your typical pup name, and I'm not your typical pup. Godwin means 'good friend' and reflects a sense of reliability and loyalty.....and that most certainly describes me. I'm not going to be your bff right off.....that's for the Max's, the Buddy's and the Daisy's of the doggy world.....first off, I'm going to quietly lose my mind because you've gotten me out of the shelter and I wanna see/smell/experience it ALL!! Omigosh, was that a squirrel??! After I get some energy out and remember how I got here, I'm gonna study you and the admiration will begin, but you may not realize that right away.Maybe I'm a bit demure, maybe a bit mindful, perhaps a bit aloof....truth be told......you know our types end up connecting the strongest with the one who chooses us over the other more outgoing pups. I do prefer the girly dogs.....and I can hang around with a gentle pup.....but I don't necessarily need a pup friend on the daily. I really wanna focus on you!!! Meet JJ (aka Jekyll) – The Dog with the Crooked Smile and the Biggest Heart 💙 JJ is a 4½-year-old Pitbull mix with the cutest floppy ears and a wonderfully crooked smile that melts hearts everywhere he goes. This sweet boy has had a rough start but has never lost his gentle spirit. JJ was once in another shelter where, through no fault of his own, he was scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, a kind-hearted community member stepped in and saved his life. Sadly, JJ turned out to be quite the escape artist and found himself needing a more secure home setup—so he came to us, ready for his real second chance. At the shelter, JJ has shown what a good boy he truly is. He’s calm and collected in his kennel, walks nicely on leash, and loves to show off his skills—sit, down, shake, and, of course, his signature grin! In the play yard, he’s happy, goofy, and enjoys spending time with people. He’s been around children before and would love a home where someone is around most of the time—JJ thrives on companionship and just wants to be loved. He can be a little nervous around unfamiliar men at first but warms up with patience and kindness. He’s also done well here with doggie friends who are mellow and non-dominant (after a good meet-and-greet, of course).
